Chapter One Hundred & Fifty Six

Mrs. Alcantara's plan was working. She had her pleasures and her marriage was still intact. What could go wrong, she thought.

Today her lover came to see her again. This is the seventh time her lover is coming to her house, in the space of a month.

“When does your husband travel?” Her lover asked impatiently.

She knew they were acting like kids, that they were committing a crime or doing something hideous.

She was getting uncomfortable with it, the rushed sex and hasty conversations.

“It is always impromptu,” Mrs. Alcantara said.

She wondered why she asked.

“This is insane,” her lover exclaimed.

“What is insane?” Mrs. Alcantara asked, confused.

Mrs. Alcantara could not understand this lady sometimes.

“This hide and seek game, it's getting exhausting,” her lover announced.

“I pay you well and even extra, what more do you want?” Mrs. Alcantara asked, frustrated.
