Chapter One Hundred & Six
“Sir- -” Dennis was still shocked to see them as they exchanged relieved stares.

“How come you are here?” He gave him a long look.

“I was looking for petrol since the car broke down. It seems I can’t go back.” Dennis frowned.

“I guess you have cash on you because we are stranded.” He commented sadly.

“Stranded?” Dennis looked at him cryptically before his eyes wandered around the area. “Where is your car?” Dennis' statement followed.

“The criminal took it. He went with the money and car.” He explained abruptly.

“That’s bad.” Dennis groaned.

“Are you people getting the room or you are here to chit-chat? I doubt if the room will be enough for the four of you.” The old man hissed, breaking their conversation rudely and they faced him.

“How much for the room?” Dennis asked.

“$10,000” The old man spilled.

“$10,000!” They gasped, taking a second look at the old-broken hotel that if it wasn’t for the hour and isolated area, they would never stay in it.
