Chapter One Hundred & Thirty-Five

“No no no!” Clara declined without a second thought.

“How can you even say that Melanie?” She asked, astounded by the suggestion her cousin made.

“Clara, it's just temporary, and you don't have to do too much,” Melanie tried to persuade her.

“This is pure madness and I can't be a part of it” she wasn't budging, even when Melanie pleaded for the umpteenth time.

“Jamal, say something,” Melanie said desperately, looking for ways to change Clara's mind.

“What exactly do I say?” he said and looked at his troubled wife. She has been obsessed with unveiling the truth.

“I know you're trying to prove a point but I really don't have to be involved” Clara growled in irritation.

She was just beginning to settle down and now this.

“Clara if you love me you would do it” Melanie blackmailed.
