Chapter One Hundred & Thirty-Six

Clara was nervous. According to Melanie's sources, Martins would be going to Big Briggs restaurant, a renowned restaurant to have lunch. He would usually order at home or eat homemade foods but luck was surely on Clara's side today.

She had been waiting for fifteen minutes and was skeptical of how she would make a good first impression.

Her determined countenance crumbled and with each passing minute, she felt she made the wrong decision.

"Waiter" Martins called out immediately and he took a seat.

Clara sat at a different end of the restaurant as she nervously rubbed her palms together. She kept an intense stare on him, waiting for the right moment to act.

"I would like the special beef tenderloin please," Martins said.

Meanwhile, Clara called Melanie to inform her that the plan was already in motion.

"Melanie, he is here", she said in hushed tones.

"How long?" Melanie asked from the other side.

"Well he came in a few minutes ago and just ordered what he wanted to eat", Clara responde
