Chapter Thirty-Four
"This is ridiculous!" Mr. Alcantara faced him. "Will you explain what this nonsense is all about?!" Mr. Alcantara screamed in his face.

"Sir, believe me, it's not what you think." He said, defending himself.

"Is not what I think? Then, am I blind or is the media wrong?" Mr. Alcantara questioned him curtly, forgetting the fact that he was important to him and his close subordinate.

"Some days ago, Melanie was closing late from work and I volunteered to drive her home. When we arrived, it was late and she requested that I spend the night at her place and leave the next morning." He paused. "You know how Melanie can be sometimes, she insisted and I agreed to stay. Nothing happened between us the whole night as I was busy creating my new application. The next morning, I left without having breakfast or anything." He sighed, sadly concluding his explanation. "You can ask Melanie, she can testify that I'm innocent." He added.
