Chapter Two Hundred & Fifty-Nine

They went to get a little water from where they had kept it. He did not like the taste of the water, so he spat it out and began to shake himself. He began to pour out spit from his mouth as he began to shake his body. The guards were alerted. They entered the cell, carried him out. They called the ambulance for him, when it came, they took him to the hospital for treatment.

Jamal paced about in the room. He has his eyes outside of the house.

“Is everything okay?” Melanie asked him. She wondered why he had been going back and forth without saying a word to her. These past days, he had been distant from her. He had not talked to her like he usually does. She knew that it was because she was not okay with Dave and Paula coming in and out of their house.
