Chapter 5
Andre’s eyebrows furrowed tightly as he recognized the man who had come to bail him.He walked out of the detention center, quiet as usual ignoring the man's existence behind him. Rage and quilt brewed within him and his fist clenched so tightly that he stopped at his pace.“You want me to forgive my mother, right?” He asked, and the man nodded.“And did you also say that my mother owns billions of assets?”The old man nodded.Andre paused for a while then cleared his throat to say. “I’ll only forgive my mother when you find out the person behind the incidents that took me to the detention center! I want the company where I’m working bought in my name, I also will need a car.”The old man's face lightened with excitement and he agreed to fulfill Andre’s request.“What kind of car if I may ask?” The old man inquired.Andre pondered for a while and answered, “Lamborghini Urus.”“Done.” The old man said.“Apology on my side for not introducing myself to you properly, young master. I am Edwin Howard, your mother’s butler.”Andre listened to the man and nodded.“Madam asked me to give you this golden violet card, a sum of twenty million dollars is being deposited in the account. If I’m not asking too much, please could you just grant your mother an audience? Through video call, please?”Andre would have refused but since the old man had begged, he had no choice but to succumb to the pleading. He was ushered into a Roll Royce where he FaceTime his mother for the first time, he was a striking resemblance of his mother. His mother, a middle-aged woman whose skin was porcelain, and beauty graceful appeared on the screen with smiles curling up her face, and tears streaming down her eyes. She anxiously called his name, “Andre, you’re the exact replicate of your father.”She said, but Andre replied with a colder expression.“Andre, I know I’ve wronged you and you’ve suffered for the past years, but I want you to understand there was a reason behind every of my actions.”“Even when you had reported me to the federal authorities that I was stalking you? You were my mother for Christ's sake! I just wanted to know if you miss me just the way I was missing you.” Andre rebuffed.Back then when Andre’s mother had left behind, Andre so much yearned for his mother’s attention. He hadn’t heard from her for over three years and she doesn’t give a fuck about that.He came across a man’s post on F******k congratulating his mother on their newly launched fashion house. His mother reacted to the post, and Andre had clicked his mother's picture to text her, and expressed his feelings over the years. His mother never responded to any of his messages or emails until one day when he was blocked by men in uniform, taken to CIA headquarters, detained, interrogated, and forced to sign an undertaking note to talk to his mom again. Now, his mom is right there on the screen, faking tears and affection.“I sure have my reasons for doing that, one day you’ll know and see that all what I’ve done was for your sake.” She broke down in tears.Andre almost gloated at her words, but he could feel her. The realness in her voice and tear-filled eyes.“Did you accept the bank card?” His mother inquired.“Oh, you think I was hungry for your money? You think you could bribe me?” Andre’s voice shook, he was losing his cool, he’s not going to show his beast side to his mother, never!“Son,” his mother called with a genuine tone.Andre looked up to her.“I want you to be powerful and revenge your father’s shed blood. And what’s being powerful without money?” Her mother said.“I need you to take the money and utilize it to great use. Consider it as compensation, if it yields gain it’s yours, if it’s loss, it’s mine.”Andre stilled and didn’t even blink his eyes.“Do you want those who look down on you to keep looking down on you?”“Or do you want those who killed not only your father but the rest of the family to be proud and get away with their sins?“Choose and get back to me,” before she could pronounce her words completely, Andre had already gotten out of the car.The woman wept incessantly and said, “Edwin, do you think my son would ever forgive me?”She asked his butler.“He’s a kid and he’s angry. He would surely come back to his senses one day to realize that you’re the best mother in the world to ever exist.” Butler Edwin said to pacify her.“He wants me to find out about the culprit behind the rider and the threat letter.”“Be fast with it! When you find out, report to me first.”********In the afternoon of the next day, Andre returned home. As soon as he emerged from the door, his mother-in-law, Hannah, frowned, “How come you’re home, alive? You were supposed to be dead or in there for the next five years!”Andre remained quiet and attempted to walk past her when she pushed him aggressively.“Where do you think you’re going to?” Hannah inquired.“Mother, I just returned from the prison, I want to take my bath,” Andre replied in his usual low voice.“Oh,” Hannah paused as an idea struck into her head. She smiled and urged him. “You may go on!”At Hannah’s sudden cooperation, Andre sensed some foul play but he wasn’t going to allow his heart to be clouded with dark thoughts.Andre opted to Yvonne’s room, today was Saturday anyway, and Yvonne would be home.As Andre reached for the door, his hands froze when he heard some chat.“Yeah baby, harder! Pound me, hard baby!”As he stood, his nose caught a whiff of the scents of sex which circulated in the air. Andre’s heart tightened, and his cheeks flushed red. He kicked the door open in full force, and he was welcomed with a horrifying sight.Latest Chapter
Ooops! I got divorced the second time!
Chapter 54Andre stood at the edge of a cliff, his gaze fixed on the forest stretching far below the mountain. The wind brushed through his hair and tugged lightly at his shirt. His hands rested behind him, but his thoughts were anything but calm. His mind felt tight, trapped in a web of thoughts he could not untangle. For once, Andre did not know what to do.He let out a sharp breath and turned to leave.Just then, his phone vibrated in his pocket. He paused, pulled it out, and looked at the screen.A message from Sasha.“We are divorcing!”Andre blinked, his eyes scanning the words again.Divorcing? His hand moved to his face as he rubbed his eyes, as if that would change what he was seeing. Why?He stood there for a few seconds, unable to move. Why would Sasha want a divorce? Before he could think further, his phone rang.Sasha.His chest tightened painfully. For a moment, he just stared at the screen.Should he pick up?Or ignore it and walk away from everything? His jaw clenched.
Divorce your husband!
Chapter 53Sasha’s trembling hands gripped her phone, and she could swear that her heart might stop at any moment due to the way it clenched. Was her mother monstrous? Her eyebrows rose and veins popped open on her face and neck. Her teeth gritted. She tried to find out the number that had just texted her and realized it was an unknown number.A heavy sigh left her mouth and her hands dropped at her side.Just as her lips parted for words. Sounds of footsteps emerged in the air and her jaw tilted in that direction to see Drake, and her uncle emerging.Drake was sparing her a triumphant and pitiful look.Badmus seemed to raise his shoulders like a peacock.“Look who we have here,” Drake’s voice cut through the thick silence that enveloped the air.Sasha sighed, tearing her gaze away from Drake to her uncle. She came here with a purpose and the purpose? Drake wasn’t even 0.001 percent of it.“Be careful with those mist in your eyes, cousin, I’m afraid here might turn to an ocean,”Sas
The lies that coukd break a family
Chapter 52 – The LieInside Grandpa Rollins’ study, he sat rigidly in his leather armchair, hands gripping the armrests as if they could contain the storm inside him. His chest rose and fell rapidly, every breath sharp and heavy.Across from him, Badmus remained seated, trying to read his father’s temper. His son, Drake, whispered something in his ear—and immediately earned a glare that silenced him.Badmus cleared his throat, forcing a calm expression. Then he spoke.“Father… time is slipping,” he said cautiously. “If we continue to sit in silence, Sasha will catch on. She’ll see through the lies we’ve fed her since her mother went missing.”Grandpa Rollins’ eyes widened in disbelief. His lips parted, words slurred. “Repeat that,” he demanded.Badmus flinched but repeated himself, careful to keep his voice steady.“You heard me, father. Sasha isn’t dumb. She’ll notice if Melissa isn’t under our care.”A vein throbbed at Grandpa’s temple. He jabbed an elbow in the air, furious. “Shit!

Chapter 51Andre returned to the hospital to meet an empty space. When he returned to the receptionist to ask about his wife, Sasha. He was told she already left the hospital. He could hear their sneer from the background.“How come she never told him she was leaving if truly they were married?” They were right with their gossips. He had no time or the interest ti indulge in any unprofitable argument.“Thank you,” he looked over from his shoulders and smiled as he thanked them.As he stepped out of the hospital building, he dialed his wife’s number. It rang twice then it became unreachable.“What the heck?” he cussed under his breath and gripped the phone in his hands tightly.A thought crossed in his heart, but he shrugged of the ideas. There's no point trying to her Joe involve in this when it's obvious that his mother was shady and Joe was loyal to his mother. This was his mess do he's gonna treat it delicately.Swallowing a lump down his throat he made for his car.On the othe
Mother forgive those who kill my father.
“Mum, that is all in the past. I’m in love with her daughter now.”Andre held his mother’s hands firmly and locked his gaze with hers.“Her daughter is my wife,” he continued quietly. “And I can’t bear seeing her in pain.”For a moment, Lady Yvonne stared at him.“Mother… if Melissa Roland is with you—”Andre paused. The silence stretched between them, tension hanging heavily in the air. His jaw tightened as if the words themselves were difficult to say. Finally, he drew in a deep breath and forced them out.“Release her.”Lady Yvonne’s mouth slowly fell open.Shock flickered across her face before anger replaced it.She abruptly pulled her hands away from his grip and breathed heavily, as if something inside her had snapped. Her eyes lingered on him for a few seconds, searching his face as though she could not recognize the son standing before her. Then she turned her face to the other side.“I’m angry, son,” she said slowly. Her voice was low, but it carried a sharp edge.“And I don
Your wife’s mother killed your father!
Chapter 49“Son…”A faint tremor ran through his mother’s voice.Silence followed. Then a harsh cough broke it, thick and painful, echoing through the phone.“M-mother…” Andre almost bit his tongue as the word slipped out.Even after her apology and the sudden kindness she had shown him these past weeks, calling her that still felt strange. The word felt heavy in his mouth, unfamiliar.“Yes… son…” Her voice sounded weak and slurred.“What’s wrong, Mother?” Andre asked, concern creeping into his tone.“Didn’t Joe tell you I’ve been coughing and vomiting blood?”Andre stiffened.Joe had told him.The memory stung with guilt. Yet he couldn’t bring himself to lie.“Yes, Mother—”“And you still didn’t come to see me?” she cut him off. Her voice trembled. “Are you still angry that I left you behind?”She paused to breathe.“There were circumstances… terrible ones.”Her breathing grew heavier.“And before all that, I carried you for nine months. I stayed awake through your colic. I ran aroun
