"Whoa!" exclaimed Grognard, staring up at the demon king's enormous mass. "Is he really that big?"
"Yes," replied the demon king, "he is."
"I wonder if I can beat him?" ponders Grognard.
The demon king laughed heartily. "No, you can't beat him. Not without magic, anyway."
Grognard's mouth hangs agape in shock. "But... I thought you said he couldn't be defeated without magic."
"That was a joke," explained the demon king. "I've never seen anything like him, either. This guy's huge!"
"Why did you decide to host a tournament in the first place?" wondered Grognard. "It sounds like a lot of work."
"Oh, no," replied the demon king. "I enjoy tournaments immensely. It gives me a chance to test my strength against other powerful creatures from distant lands."
The demon king points at Grognard. "For example, do you think you could defeat me?"
"Huh?" replied Grognard, surprised. "Um..."
"Don't worry," said the demon king. "I'm not intending to attack you. Just relax and have fun."
The demon king takes a step forward, and Grognard backs away nervously. The crowd begins cheering excitedly as they watch their champion battle the demon king.
"I'm not afraid of you," said Grognard confidently. That little power of yours can't hurt me!"
The demon king laughed and shook his head in disbelief. "Not only are you weak and pathetic, but you're also a coward! You're nothing more than a wimp."
Grognard burst into laughter, delighted by his adversary's words. "Ha! You're right! I am a coward! I'm terrified of you!"
The demon king glares at him menacingly. "I don't think so!" he exclaims, raising his massive fists. "Prepare yourself to be humiliated, wimp!"
"Wait!" cried Grognard, leaping between them. "Let's talk this out! We can settle this peacefully!"
The demon king raises his fist again, ready to strike Grognard down, but the crowd erupts in cheers.
"Don't listen to him!" shouted the demon king. "He's just trying to trick you!"
The crowd roars with laughter at this remark, and Grognard frowns. He knows that he is being mocked, but he has no idea why.
"I'm not lying," said the demon king. "If you want to win my tournament, you need to fight me! Come ahead and try your luck."
"Fine!" declared Grognard, turning away. "I'll fight you."
The demon king smirks at this. "Good!" he says. "I look forward to humiliating you in front of everyone!"
Grognard looks back at the demon king and grins. "Maybe I can teach you a lesson about humility."
"Ha!" laughed the demon king. "You'd better hope so, little boy, because I'm not afraid to make you pay for calling me a coward!"
The demon king prepares himself for combat, lifting his huge arms high above his head.
Grognard's eyes grow wide with fear as he watches the demon king prepare for battle. He tries to back away, but he can't move. The only way to escape is to fight the demon king directly.
"Bring it on!" said Grognard defiantly.
The crowd erupted in cheers and applause.
The demon king swings his fists down at Grognard, who jumps out of the way and narrowly avoids getting hit. The crowd roars with joy as Grognard dodges another swing, but he doesn't manage to dodge the next one. The demon king hits him square in the chest, sending Grognard flying backwards through the air.
The ogre crashed into the wall behind him, and he fell to the floor, unconscious.
The demon king sneers at his fallen opponent and clenches his fists once again.
"Fight, little boy!" he shouted. "You're going to be humiliated in front of everyone!"
Grognard rises to his feet and rushes toward the demon king. He reaches his hands out and grabs hold of his ankles, but the demon king kicks him in the chest and sends him reeling backwards.
The crowd explodes in cheers as Grognard lands hard on the ground and lies motionless. The demon king laughed and taunted him. "See? You're no match for me! I'm determined to crush you under my mighty boot!"
The demon king raises his foot and prepares to stomp on Grognard, when suddenly he stops and lowers his leg.
The crowd gasped in shock.
"Did he just say what I think he said?" asked the demon king. "Can a loser actually become a winner?"
The crowd burst into wild cheers as the demon king bends down and picks up Grognard, effortlessly carrying him over to a nearby table.
He sets Grognard on the table and congratulates him on the head. "There," he said. "Now you're safe. Don't worry. Everything will be okay."
Grognard opens his eyes and sits up at the table. He notices a strange white substance dripping from the demon king's fingers.
"What is that?" he wondered aloud.
The crowd roars in delight as the demon king places his hand on the table and lets the white liquid drip onto Grognard's face.
"What are you doing?" asked Grognard, confused. "Stop it!"
The demon king drops his hand and moves away from Grognard. He turned to face the crowd, holding his thumb up. "A brand-new champion has been crowned!" he announced. "And with this victory, I claim dominion over this world!"
The crowd erupts in cheers and applause as the demon king lifts his arms into the air.
Demon King throws a punch at me and misses.I roll with the punch and kick him in the groin.Demon King falls on the floor and stays there. The crowd burst into cheers as the Demon King laughed hysterically."Holy shit," said the Demon King. The ground breaks and I fall into a hole. The crowd erupts in cheers as I rise to my feet and look up at the demon king."What was that?" I asked. "I didn't feel anything.""Ha ha," laughed the demon king. "You can't hurt me!"I walk closer to him and grab hold of his legs, but he rolls out of the way and kicks me in the stomach. As I leap out of the hole, I force punch the demon king.Demon King punches me in the face and sends me flying backwards.I land hard on the ground and lose consciousness. The crowd erupts in cheers as the demon king stands over me."You're done, Dear Guest," said the demon king.'I can use magic,' I say. "Do you know how to cast spells?""Of course I do," said the demon king. "All I have to do is wave my hand and I can c
To my surprise he hugged me.I looked up and saw that he had tears in his eyes."I'm sorry, boy," said the demon king. "I never expected to see someone who I believed had died.""What are you talking about?" I asked. "Why are you crying?"The demon king released me and stepped back.He wiped away his tears and told me, "Come with me to the royal chamber.""Thank you," I said. "For everything."The demon king nods and leads me through the corridors. We finally arrive at the door leading to the royal chambers."What happened?" I asked. The demon king opens the door and allows me to enter.I walk inside, and I see that everyone is seated in a circle around the room. They all looked up at me when the demon king entered through the door behind us.Demon King said, "your friend is with us. You can meet her after we chat for a while."."It's been a long time since we've seen you," said one of them. "We thought you were dead.""Where is Kia?" I asked. "Is she alright?"The king points to the
The meeting ended and I talked with the ministers for sometime and walked out of the room.I met Kia outside the room."How did it turn out?" she asked me."Well, I found out that I was the son of the demon king.""Are you okay with that?" she asked.I nod my head and reply, "Yeah I don't care much about it anyway.""My mother was the angel king's sister. Both my parents are from two different realms.""How does it feel knowing that you are the child of a demon and an angel?" she asked."I don't know. It feels weird but it doesn't matter to me." I said."You still haven't told me about yourself. You only tell you are the priest in the temple of Origen and everything will be revealed over time. You are such a mystery.""The first time I met you you were running away from a wild beast alone without any guard."After arriving near the demon realm, a beast came rushing towards me. I slashed it and a girl came and thanked me. The girl was alone and trembling. And it was Kia. She asked me if
"There was once a large realm where angels, demons and humans lived, until there was war for the position of ruler. The war caused chaos and many lives were lost." "During the war a powerful being descended from nowhere and stopped the war. He split the realm into three realms: one for demons i;e Hell, another for angels i;e heaven and another for humans, i;e Reino." "The angel realm was given to angels with power while the demon realm was kept safe by demons that were strong enough to keep it from falling into chaos." "It's been several millenniums since the Great One, the ruler of the three lands, stopped the war." "The three realms have established a friendly relation with each other." "People from all three realms are welcome in any of them but if they choose to stay in their respective realms then that is up to them." "As Reino was in between heaven and hell, it became the place for interaction for all three realms. By the co-operation of the ruler of heaven: Michael, the ru
Demon Princess POVI boarded the carriage “Let’s go now, Father will be waiting for me.”The carriage starts to move. The carriage began to move a few inches and I felt chills run down my spine. The dark magical energy has suddenly increased.I looked out the carriage and noticed a strange phenomenon. The sky is a mixture of dark and white clouds with strong thunder. Then suddenly it starts to pour. The white cloud is raining water and the black cloud is pouring blood like liquid.I felt curious “Sir, can you look at what’s happening here?”The Knight stepped down the carriage to take a look at what was happening. As soon as he stepped down and looked towards the academy his expression changed. He feared something that is towards the school. He is my father's personal knight, so he can be considered the strongest man after him. I asked him “Knight what’s wrong? What happened to you?”He is frozen like ice. He is not listening to me. I stepped down to look what’s happening, why does he
My head started to hurt again like it was splitting in half. The scene felt like a dream, but I could see two figures, one holding me in her arms, and the other smiling at me. However, I couldn't see their faces.I fell down the ground.Everything was blurring. All I could hear was the sound of thunder and rain.A bright light surrounded me and when the light faded I was in the middle of the field in front of the academy. The grass was wet, the smell of rain and grass permeated everywhere.I looked up and saw a rainbow stretched across the sky."What happened to me?"I couldn’t move my body and it was hurting like hell.Slowly I am losing consciousness again.I awoke after some time to see a familiar ceiling above my head.“Are you up?”I was hearing a familiar voice as I turned towards the source of the voice. She was the nurse who used to take care of me whenever I was hurt by other students.“Sorry for the trouble Miss Ahn, I don’t know what happened to me this time and how I am he
I stopped by a store to buy a weapon for me. While looking for a weapon a sword thrown at the corner attracts me."I wonder how much it costs for the sword at the corner. The sword with a white hilt which is a bit rusty.""That's an old, rusty blade; you're not expecting to find any quality steel here. Besides, there is no way this sword could cut anything, let alone even scratch something like a monster!" exclaimed the shopkeeper as he turned away from his counter with disgust."Hold on now, young man! Don't throw that thing out! It could still be useful in some odd ways!"The man approaches me excitedly, holding a small book and pointing to it. He opens the cover and shows the pages inside. There are mostly sketches of strange creatures drawn by someone who has seen them firsthand. But one sketch catches my eye immediately. A monster with large claws and fangs. The picture was drawn hastily, but I can see that whoever drew this knew exactly what the creature looked like."This is a
I reach the edge of the city, eager to leave this cursed forest behind me. After a while of walking, I entered the Royal Capital, after a long fight I decide to stop somewhere for the night.I enter the inn. "Hello," says the innkeeper. "Can I help you?""Yes, please," I reply politely. "I'd like a room.""Certainly. Follow me."The innkeeper leads me to a small, windowless room at the back of the building. There are no windows, no doors, just a single bed and a small washstand."It's not much, but it should suffice," says the innkeeper."I'm sorry, sir," he apologizes. "But we have no other rooms available."You sigh heavily. "That's alright then," you say."Thank you," he replies.Due to the brawl with the bandits and the long journey I am feeling very much tired. Without questioning I went to sleep.I woke up early in the morning. After getting a bath, I got out of the inn and walked towards the library. On my way to the library I felt someone calling me “Regal”I looked left and s
