Chapter 12: Shocked once more

Blade looked up at the patient and calm head administrator in front of him.

Mr Tules stared right back at him and with a somewhat unsettled voice asked,

"Mr Blade, have you made a decision?"

"Hmmm" Blade hummed in response like a father giving his son instructions

"That's great then! What would you like? Our delivery services are very quick and your item would get to you in no less than a few minutes" Mr Tules offered with a stiff face.

"I would like numbers #0101, #0457, #1034, #00023 and a Felter villa" Blade declared exasperatedly.

He would have picked something that was better suited to his magnetic gift, but that was if he even had one.

"Four numbers right? Oh! That should be five items including the Felter's villa….." All of a sudden Tules turned to him and asked,

"#0101 is priced at 150 crimson black mags and that's a bit more than the amount you're about to redeem"

This was actually true if you looked at the conversion rate for 10 Golden mags you would have 105 crimson mags.

The extra 5 mags there is because when converting from a higher currency to a lower currency, the rate isn't stable but rises above the original conversion rate.

"Yeah I know, truthfully I didn't want to spend so much before but I had to" Blade relaxed as he took another sip of the tropical juice on the comfortable couch.

'Is he crazy! He is supposed to take something worth 100 crimson mags at the very least but with these choices….' the assistant in the room was stumped. Then she looked at him again and shook her head.

'What a sad thing for an eligible bachelor like him to go crazy after seeing the Seven Apex Alliance's catalog for the first time. He must have been shocked silly'

When she looked at him next she looked at him with pity.

Mr Tules looked at Blade strangely, this attitude couldn't be dictated by common sense but as a businessman who survived the magnetic eruption disaster, he could understand such an attitude and was able to still keep a straight face.

After all, so many people also ran mad when they got exposed to the magnetic influence over long periods of time.

It wasn't a surprise when he saw Blade keep cool and behave insane. After all, insanity could be wild or docile. He decided to abandon this waste of time until he is ready to redeem an item from the catalogue.

Mr Tules stood up and was about to just make a little bit of pleasantries before leaving as his profession dictates when Blade spoke again,

"Do you think i'm insane or I just don't know what I'm saying?" Blade asked with a curl of his lips.

"Truthfully speaking sir Blade, your actions are currently not in line with the money at your disposal"

“Even if you do have some secret stash somewhere, I can bet it's not enough to cover for these items” Mr Tules explained patiently.

"The money at my disposal? Do you think this is all I have? Or you think my secret stash would come from all the money I have been keeping aside?" Blade raised an eyebrow.

"This should be all you have in this base I am very confident of my intelligence. I definitely can't be wrong sir Blade" Tules frowned.

"You are right at one thing sir Tules, this is all i have in this base that is... the inner section of the base" Blade gave a sly smile as he looked at the businessman in front of him.

Honestly, he doesn't even need to give the man a clue any longer when he isn't dumb. It's too easy to figure it out.

Mr Tules face straightened in surprise! It seems this guy wasn't insane! Rather he was calculating and chose to reveal this information at this time! But, why did he reveal it now? Whatever the reason that was, it could wait for now as it seemed this infamous Blade had some valuable collectibles hidden somewhere.

After thinking for a bit, he sighed, looked up and then sighed again before he spoke,

'Can I hold you accountable for your words sir Blade?" A hint of remorse and anticipation actually flashed across Tules face.

Although, Blade couldn't understand why he would show such a reaction, he dismissed the thought from his mind after all he was here for the money.

"Of course! You can" Blade replied and added "The total cost of whatever things I'm going to buy would be covered by the amount of things that would be turned over”

It was now that the assistant finally understood the gist of the matter somewhat.

Shock!

All she felt was shock right now, 'He never had just this but more of them' It was very likely given her Superior's reaction and question.

'But why did he bring only one?' she questioned herself.

'I see now, it's because it's too inconvenient for one to take such large amount of expensive things and….' As she understood the rest, a smile rested upon her beautiful lips.

'What a sly man!' she thought.

Mr Tules already understood all what was happening apart from the fact that he couldn't understand where Blade made such a huge discovery.

'If I was the one who found such….' Mr Tules started thinking before shaking away the thought from his head. It definitely couldn't be him. He doesn't even have time to leave the base talk more of scavenging.

"How many magnetic sources are we talking about here Mr Blade?" Mr Tules asked

"A total of forty five car wrecks" Blade answered back sharply. His aim was to give Me Tules a huge surprise and just as he thought, Mr Tules took a deep breath. This was shocking! Even for him, getting forty five car wrecks was a huge amount of fortune.

Before he could recover from his shock, he noticed Blade's weird expression.

"But if I say that isn't all, would you believe me?" Blade asked with a wide smile on his face. He knew that he had just dropped a bomb and was very happy with himself. The look on Tules face was very satisfying.
