Enough for these rich kids who rely on their parents for their essence. The parents who pick up their children’s mess are those parents who are actually unapologetic to everything. The problem of every privileged child who seems like they own everything, they even think they can own other people’s time or their existence are troubled enough to remind the underprivileged to bow their heads as low as possible. Ardently, they can’t even fix their own life.
The rich boy’s father went to the university’s office and started to question the principal. The scowl on the rich boy’s face is evident and Antonio doesn’t even crawl back to his original state, he’s just there standing as if it wasn’t his problem to fix.
“What do you mean about this, Mister Vondale? How dare my child be called in detention?” the rich boy’s father sneered.
“I called you here, Mr. Smith because your son is in trouble,” The principal greeted the rich boy’s father, who strode his way to the door with an arrogant aura. He’s wearing an old school brand of suit and smells like Marlboro red.
“Trouble? I wanted my children on a swift college journey. How does this institution want to make it hard for them?” Mr. Smith speaks as if he’s the final boss or something.
“They both caused trouble in front of the Hall and interrupted the daily activities of the campus. I hope you spare time for your children to visit them and reprimand th–” the principal mention the situation but get interrupted by Mr. Smith.
“Reprimand? My children don't need reprimanding. They were raised in class and elegance. I don’t know where you get this nonsense, Mr. Vondale,” Mr. Smith roared his rage at the principal
“One of the students named Antonio and your son are punching each other when I saw them,” the principal said while gracing the existence of Antonio. The rich boy’s father mockingly looked at Antonio.
“You seem rugged and uneducated, I don’t know why you studied at this prestigious school.” the rich boy’s father commented and he looked at the principal “It’s ironic you continue doing this unclassy selection of students.”
“Father, I want this boy removed from this university,” the rich boy said.
“I desired to do the same, my son. Your suggestion is better than making amends with this uneducated poor boy.” The rich boy’s father looked at the principal with arrogant, “I wanted to make it happened, Mr, Vondale or I would abruptly left the Parent-Teachers Association,”
The principal sighed and was still thinking of a better solution. At the corner of Antonio’s eye, he saw the rich boy and the other girl, whispering. Antonio glanced at his phone and sent a text to one of his immediate family friends.
“The aforementioned abruptly removed of one of the students is not that easy, Mr. Smith. It needed a thorough investigation if its valid to removed them or not,”
“Does punching my son is not valid. Mr. Vondale? If you can’t make a decision. I will make this boy’s life miserable,” Mr. Smith threatened the principal and the principal even flinched. Antonio incessantly looked at the door since he wanted to make this talk to end.
The rich girl caught the movement of Antonio and she just smirked at him. Antonio just didn’t linger his gaze to the rich girl since he knows it's not worth it to gaped.
“I understand your concern, Mr. Smith. I will take this to higher education. I will keep you updated. For now. This punching incident should be talked to and prevented. Rest assured this will be the last time,” The principal discussed and Antonio heard the sigh of relief og Mr. Smith. “But, I need to talked to your parents Miss Olivia and Mister Antonio,”
“You need to wait, we need to move now. Let this uneducated poor boy leave the university’s premises.” Mr. Smith expressed his utmost thoughts about the whole fiasco.
Then, the principal stood up and started to talk to the intercom to let the guards and other school personnel to assist them. Antonio is the last one who stands and leaves the office. As Antonio closes the door, the father of the rich girl Olivia arrives.
Mr. Smith incessantly mocked Antonio and the school’s reputation, even the hallway heard those nasty opinions of the said businessman. Antonio just strutted his way to the halls without looking at anyone. The principal gazed at Antonio and waited for him to speak.
“Olivia, what did you do?” the rich girl's father sincerely asked his daughter. Olivia, on the other hand, just rolled her eyes.
The rich girl’s father glared at the rich boy and yelled at him. “Dale Smith!”
“I got punched by a loser student, Mr. Fanelli!” the rich boy answered the rich girl’s father
The rich girl's father glared at the principal and Mr. Smith for answers who the hell is the other person.
“It’s Mr. Antonio de Isquierda, Mr. Fanelli.” the principal answered.
When Mr. Fanelli saw Antonio standing a few meters away from them, he abruptly went to him and apologized. All of them were wide-eyed and Olivia screamed at his father. Her father almost kneeled in front of Antonio.
“I hope you won't let this slip into the oblivion, Mr. Antonio. This would be the last time I will make amends to this ridiculous pursuit. I’m sorry for all the words my daughters said, if any!”
Antonio just glanced at Mister Fanelli. Puzzled by his behavior. Antonio knew that no one, except the company had the information who he actually is, not unless Mr. Fanelli is a family friend.
“Father, what the heck!?” Olivia grabbed his father’s arms to make him stand. The rich girl seems embarrassed of his father’s behavior. But her father just sneered at him and shouted at him to stop being mean to Antonio.
“Mr. Fanelli. I want to intrude but the decision is in process. We should not apologize to the trouble we didn’t make,” Mr. Smith said.
“Mr. Smith, I guess you didn’t know who’s the person you are talking to,” Mr. Fanelli said ang glanced at Mister. Antonio. “Mr. Vondale, I wouldn’t let Mr. Antonio be removed from the said university. My family will apologize the fiasco my daughter has made,”
Then, Antonio tried to keep his straight face and was still waiting for the butler to arrive at the university. Mr. Smith doesn’t even know what to say since Mr. Fanelli made his decision.
The decision should be finalized, that’s what they wanted. But the sudden change of course can’t predict the finality; their shocked faces, wide eyes and the sweat running at the side of their faces is evident. The rich girl named Olivia held the arms of her father since she was embarrassed about her father’s behavior. She didn’t even glance at Antonio. “What’s wrong with you, father!?” Olivia said, quite annoyed. “That guy is the one who throw the punch to Dale,” “I don’t care if he’s the one who punches Dale,” the rich girl’s father stated, as if he wanted to make Antonio the victim of the said ridiculous menagerie. Dale glared at Olivia. Olivia stomp his feet and gritted her teeth, “Father, in the first place you shouldn’t apologize,” “We should, my daughter,” the rich girl’s father said with conviction. Mr. Smith vocalizes his concern on the situation, “That poor uneducated poor should be the one to apologize. After all, Dale and Olivia had their reasons,” Dale is behi
The rich girl doesn’t even want to get involved now and proceeds to gazed at Antonio despite the sudden behavior of her father. Olivia had her common sense now; her father who’s about to slap her but it didn't happen since they wanted to get away from the hall and leave as if nothing happened. No one even wondered that the rich girl's father would do that to her daughter. Antonio doesnt gawk even further since he knows that Olivia will follow her father’s command. They will feel sorry, Antonio thought. Everyone is looking since they knew, yes even the personal assistant of the rich girl’s father knows who I am and they would pretend I am just a normal university kid who is supposed to be kicked out. Suddenly, the rich girl interrupted the conversation of his father and one of Antonio’s personal assistants. They are outside of the university premises and they vouch not to cause another scene. The rich girl’s father didn’t even see how her daughter tried to make amends to Antonio.
Antonio already has its path of independence. Right after the chaos in his university, he decided to book a fancy restaurant away from the downtown; the dark nights twinkling with the light of hope and opportunity of getting drunk with life-- must be the truth he always wanted to have. The manager of the said pub guided him to the reserved table, prepared a rum and glasses of expensive finger bites. Antonio seated, crossed legs and gazing at the manager who seems anxious and waiting for his orders. Antonio thinks that the other employees in the said pub seem curious of sudden changes of their manager's personality. The manager spoke to him in a calm tone which Antonio seemed shocked. Antonio noticed that it sounded so scripted and he wanted to put an end to his blabbering mouth, but he can't because he don;t want to have a reputation of being rude to the manager, even to employees who are eyeing him with death glare, as if he can buy them. I mean, he can but he won't. “How does a d
Antonio doesn't need to know more about the drinking session he had last night. He woke up feeling thirsty and still on his clothes. No one in the house dared to touch him or even change his clothes to make him comfortable. Everyone thinks he's some sort of an individual who's off limits. He doesn't have a severe hang-over and he decided to strip off his clothes. He walks naked in his modern room, filled with black and white motifs. He even walked to his glass window near his toilet. Antonio examined himself there, standing and staring to his biceps, to his stomach and down to his center. For a minute, he stood there, reminiscing the conversation he had from that particular female staff member. Antonio thought about the female staff's name. But a part of him knew her name but he forgot. He showered all his thoughts, doubts and worries. Everyday is a constant battle of knowing what to do of his new lifestyle. One of his personal assistant rush in, and ask Antonio what he wanted to d
It's Saturday afternoon. Mostly during these hours, the pub will be empty, no one is ordering their fave cocktails in the bar, or mostly flirting with their female staff members. It's an unusual sight, the manager said. All of the people are circling a certain table, far away from the entrance. It’s near the jukebox and the comfort room door. They are standing, hands on their chin, whispering and gawking at two people sitting at the table with a chess board and a clock. The female staff wears glasses with her hair down, wearing his female staff outfit. Her opponent is a stranger, who seems like a pub reviewer from the local government unit where they can revoke your license to operate. They instantly played chess as if they bet their life on it. One of the onlookers explained the game to his children, who didn't even know the rules of the game. ‘I want to play like her, dad,’ the children excitedly told her father. The father nodded and said, ‘In a right time, darling,’ The childre
Antonio thought his mother married a dead man. But, it had a different meaning. His mother tried to hide her relationship to a black sheep, a man who's son of a multi-billionaire and tried to leave a life penniless. Antonio knew the story by now because his relatives went to his house a couple of hours ago. Antonio doesn't have the mood to entertain visitors; his own relatives which he didn't even meet. They even tell all the most absurd stories and gossip they ever have, even the personal assistants of Antonio seem uncomfortable with the situation. When the time comes for the fitting of his suit, they bid farewell. Antonio politely guided them in the exit doors. "See you, tomorrow." "The universe will guide you with wisdom and grace, Tonio," one of his relatives who wears a boho hat prayed to him over. "Thank you, Mrs. Oberian," Antonio said. They give him kisses on the cheeks and bid him farewell. They already established a good reputation on socialization in which Antonio is h
The take over, meeting and introduction went smoothly, everyone in the company clapped their hands, whispered and thought about the future endeavors of the newly appointed CEO and his team. Everyone flashes smiles, giving their congratulatory messages and doubtful gazes to Antonio. On the other hand, Antonio is still calm, collected and down-to-earth. He shakes everyone’s arms, brushes all the doubtful and arrogant gazes of other committees and employees, but he avoided being rude since he wanted their permission to let him do his own thing. It’s appropriate to actually pretend that he has all the things in life but the permission and the likeness of the committee is all he has minus the money and power. Antonio has a conversation with one of the company owners in The Tower. “What’s your plan? I heard from your grandfather that you’ll have it listed,” an old man with wrinkled face and tailored suit, with a respected aura said. “I tend to keep it that way, since publicizing the lis
All the designated staff in the company placed a 10-page file in the table. They even distributed a piece of banana, orange slices and cranberry juice to satisfy their well-being. Elyse ate the banana since she's hungry and nervous. The silence in the room is palpable and she senses a hierarchy in the people who are on the table. Normally, the meeting room will be lively and packed but today it's a private session of the new organization team chosen by Antonio and his grandfather. Needless to say, only three people over ten are already in the room. Suddenly, the door swung and it showed two mid-30's. Elyse, is the only person standing and greeted them. The other two politely nodded and gazing at Antonio. Elyse noticed that the other two people in front of her didn't even care. The woman extended her arm to Elyse, introducing herself. "Hello, I'm Bennet Houseffer," she said, and she spoke to her companion. "This is Carlyle Jones," Elyse both shakes their hands. Carlyle examined Ely
