Chapter 5 Spacecraft pilots...

Ethan's point of view...

"punishment...!" we all jolted at once, if the tests were such dangerous, how are the punishments going to be?

{Brace up and assemble in the front hall} We were commanded to walk out, and we did it.

The acid was gone but the whole area around us was looking horrible.

{All the Zodiac warriors have to clean all those areas which were dirtied by the acidic reactions, the chemicals that you may need for the task will be in the store room}

My heart sank as I surveyed the scene, a mixture of disbelief and anger washing over me.

Almost three huge halls, the chamber room, and the command room, all were destroyed.

What the heck...!

After being exhausted, I really don't want to do this. I wish I could skip but being a captain is not easy, you know.

"What are we supposed to do Captain?" Max asked, his voice laced with responsibility.

Heaving a sigh, I took over my mind once again.

"Let's split up and complete the task," I said, all agreed but Aron stood forward.

"Let me start" he hesitatingly rolled out his words but what he said was actually helpful.

His power was to summon the water, he washed over the surface of all the rooms and I helped as I can do that too.

All the others got the chemicals that were kept in the store room.

That chemical was amazing, the moment it touched the eroded wall, the metallic surface started repairing itself.

Joining hands together we cleaned all those spoiled rooms and we're happy to work together too.

{Punishment Task completed}

All of my teammates fell to the ground as the system finally announced that the punishment task was completed.

"Come on guys let's get back to the chambers, it was a long day we need to get ourselves healed," I said helping others to get up.

{Congratulations to all the team members on successfully completing the first part of the training} We emerged out of our chambers with a beautiful announcement.

{Wecome to part two, please gather in the main hall}

It was a peaceful day, we gathered in the training hall and were greeted with a visually stunning model of a spaceship.

The intricate details filled us with awe and anticipation.

{Today's task is to how to pilot a spacecraft}

"Wow...!" we all exclaimed in excitement. It was like something amazing was going to happen.

We were about to learn how to pilot a spacecraft, a crucial skill for our mission.

{Move forward towards the screen}

As that was announced, we merged toward the huge screen before us.

Studying the control panels, navigation systems, and principles of interstellar travel, I took the lead.

Every member of the team followed suit, immersing themselves in learning the complexities of spacecraft operation.

However, despite our dedication, we struggled to grasp the nuances of piloting. It was like a maze of buttons and controls.

All going from above my head.

Frustration grew, and doubts crept into our minds.

But it was Dorci who surprised us all. With his calm and focused demeanor, he flawlessly maneuvered the spaceship, displaying unparalleled piloting skills when we were allowed inside the spacecraft.

We always thought him the laziest one, but his talent was above all.

We realized our mistake in underestimating Dorci and approached him with sincere apologies.

He graciously accepted and emphasized the importance of unity, encouraging us to embrace each other's strengths.

He told us that he had already mastered riding the spacecraft.

We were shocked to know his background, Listening to Dorci's experience, we felt a mixture of awe and gratitude. His experience in spacecraft maintenance and operations contributed to his remarkable piloting abilities.

Recognizing our curiosity and desire to learn, Dorci generously offered his help to each member.

From that moment, respect and camaraderie blossomed among us. We promised to observe each other's achievements and support one another through every trial.

With Dorci's guidance, we continued our spaceship training, united and determined to succeed.

I immersed myself in the training, as I have no other option but to learn it faster to help my team as my determination to lead my team to excellence never wavered.

With every piece of information Dorci shared, I grew more confident, mastering the controls and honing my piloting skills. The rest of the team followed suit, dedicating themselves to the training with renewed enthusiasm.

Our collective efforts, under Dorci's guidance, started to yield results. One by one, we showed progress in our piloting skills.

Challenges became conquerable as we gained a deeper understanding of spacecraft systems and interstellar travel.

Days passed by, and a week passed as we practiced tirelessly, conducting simulated flights and executing maneuvers with increasing precision.

No...! Not the real ones but as that testing ground, these flights were also like an illusion in a game. But surreal ones.

Our bond as a team grew stronger, as we celebrated each other's achievements and supported one another through moments of doubt.

"It had been a week, I think you guys are ready for the test" Captain Ven emerged out of nowhere suddenly. We all jolted as were unprepared for the test.

But as usual, no one interrupted.

The next day arrived, and we were summoned for a crucial test of our spacecraft piloting skills. The pressure was palpable as we entered the training hall, anticipation coursing through our veins. This test would determine our readiness to handle real-life missions and serve as a benchmark for our progress.

Having dedicated countless hours to honing my piloting abilities we all were ready to take it.

The test was simple as we all have to ride the spacecraft, as fast as possible with maintaining a perfect balance.

We were informed that there will be asteroid attacks but still we need to maintain the balance.

As we all gave our best, I and Dorci emerged as the first to fully master spacecraft piloting, and my proficiency inspired the team with a clear journey.

Ava was the second with only one damage but a minor one. Others tried their best too but they still lack behind.

Under my leadership and Dorci's expertise, we continued to refine our skills. We pushed ourselves to reach new heights, knowing that our individual growth contributed to the success of the entire team.

With Dorci's patient guidance and the team's collective effort, we embarked on a learning journey together.

Another week passed by and one day I was called out separately by the system.

{Captain Ethan, please assemble in the front hall}

I strolled toward the front hall and stood there.

{You are called here because there is a mission for you} My heart skipped a beat with anticipation. Is this going to be a separate mission? Will I be going alone this time?

{You have already excelled in your piloting skills, so you are selected for an individual mission}

"Ok, System," I admitted.

{Your partner for this mission will be here soon}

Wait...!

Partner...!

It is not Nathan or Dylan, right?

That mission will be worse than hell if it was them. But I can't ask the system about it too.

Soon I saw a figure walking toward the front hall.

Looking at who that was, caused a mixed feeling surging within me.

Now this mission will be heaven ride.

{Hello Miss Ava}

"Hello," she replied and greeted me with a nod.

Her gaze fell on me and I looked away to avoid our awkwardness before the system.

{Ethan and Ava, you are the top performers in the initial test, so the system had selected you guys to go on a mission to a planet, the details are filed in your secret drive}

"Okay," we both admitted at once.

{Move to the shifting door}

We moved near the door and it slid open, I entered the elevator first and stood aside making space for her,

Within just a few seconds, the doors slid open the entrance of the real spaceship, my heart pounded with a mix of excitement and nervousness.

The real spacecraft stood before us, a gleaming vessel representing endless possibilities and uncharted territories.

This was the first time I will be operating a real spaceship, a milestone in my journey as Zodiac Warrior.

I couldn't help but feel a sense of responsibility weighing heavily on his shoulders. As if I grew up at once.

I glanced at Ava, her face reflecting the same mixture of anticipation and anxiety.

We had trained relentlessly, but this was an entirely different challenge, a real-life mission that would put our abilities and strategic thinking to the test.

As we boarded the spacecraft, the hum of the engines surrounded them, signaling the beginning of the extraordinary journey we were about to embark on.

The cockpit was a labyrinth of buttons, switches, and displays, a myriad of controls waiting to be understood and mastered.

This was real guys...!

I couldn't believe my eyes that I was now standing inside a spacecraft.

My life had taken my turn and each day is like a new magical adventure for me.

I opened my drive to read the details of the mission but just the thought gave me goosebumps.

"What the....! Are we going to...?" I exclaimed in shock when I read that radar.
