Chapter 8 Virtual Training...

Ethan's point of view...

{Good morning Zodiac Warriors}

The announcement woke us all up from our slumber, and we got out of the chambers, surprisingly.

We had been learning the controls of the spaceship for nearly two weeks and almost everyone was an expert in it.

A different kind of greeting by the system, made us all reckon what kind of a different task awaited us.

{Today you all will be taken to the bio lab to learn various types of Aliens and other spices}

Excitement filled the training hall as the system announced the next phase of our training.

"Wow, are we going to see them...!" I exclaimed in excitement.

It was so wonderful to learn about the various species of aliens inhabiting the vast reaches of space.

We all hurried to get out and assembled in the main hall in no time. We were like a group of enthusiastic school students hurrying for a games period.

{Hello Warriors}

A familiar voice reverberated through the halls.

We all tilted our heads to face Captain Ven. He rolled near to us and stood in front of us. Beside him, there was a trolley with different kinds of masks.

It did look intriguing as I had seen such kinds of masks only in movies.

A round-shaped helmet extended as a funnel in front of it, where there was a filter-like fitting.

{It is a biosafety device}

Captain Ven explained as everyone was staring at those stuff with intrigued expressions spread across our faces. But still just to imagine, if the starting was so mysterious, what are we going to witness today?

A special kind of mysterious feeling churned inside us.

I was guessing all kinds of possibilities that may transpire.

We all witnessed those aliens but they were so huge that there might be hardly anyone among us who could have seen them. But now we will see them.

It's so exciting...!

As Captain Ven led us, we were taken to the shifting elevator of the starship. After traveling so long, felt like an eternity to me, and we finally reached another door.

Though I don't know exactly where we were taken, I felt we were going down, under the surface.

{Yes you are...}

The mechanical yet commanding voice confirmed my doubts. I nodded with a smile.

Captain Ven can read our minds, it doesn't happen always though.

The door in front of us was made up of some kind of black metal, a huge and shining surface. A screeching sound echoed as it opened after the detection.

Inside that huge door, there lay another small dark chamber, that gave us a mysterious look as we looked around.

A system voice asked for entry access and Captain Ven slid the access card in it.

A hot gas was sprayed on us all of a sudden almost filling the complete chamber. Then after a few more minutes, the other door opened into a bright room with various tumblers.

The holographic displays illuminated the room, showcasing detailed images of ten distinct alien species.

{So, these are the ten most widespread species found in our galaxy}

Captain Ven started explaining.

Listening attentively, I absorbed every detail as the system described each species, revealing their names, appearances, powers, and weaknesses.

Each one was named by the number on its tumbler, just like the first one was like a huge snake, its red eyes were open and it was black with more than a hundred small tentacles spread on its body. It was called, RB001.

The next one was like a four-petaled flower, green and pink combined color. It was written on its tumbler, GP002.

My mind expanded with the knowledge of the diverse beings we might encounter in our future missions.

The third species introduced were the Ferrokens, FR003, towering humanoid beings with metallic exoskeletons that granted them immense strength and resilience. I quickly grasped the strategic implications of their vulnerabilities to extreme temperatures and certain frequencies of sound.

Next came the Elerians, EL004, ethereal and graceful beings with luminescent skin that allowed them to camouflage in various environments. Their extraordinary telepathic and empathic abilities fascinated me, although their physical forms were delicate.

The fifth category was described as the non-hostile species the Lumisians, LU005, bioluminescent creatures that emitted a gentle glow. Their ability to manipulate and control light amazed me, but I noted their reliance on photosynthetic energy and their weakened abilities in darkness.

As the system unveiled the remaining five species, I became engrossed in their distinct characteristics.

The wide array of alien life forms fascinated me, and I recognized the importance of learning about both potential adversaries and non-threatening beings for diplomatic encounters and alliances in the future.

Ava silently grabbed my hand from behind, her eyes widened and her heart beating so fast, I can see through her that these things might be scaring her a little.

I clenched her hand with mine as a support. I, along with the rest of the team, diligently took notes, studied the holographic projections, and engaged in group discussions to deepen our understanding of these diverse species.

We recognized that our role as Zodiac Warriors went beyond battles, it encompassed fostering understanding, respecting different cultures, and bridging gaps between species.

We were now escorted to another platform, where I found many visual display chambers.

The next part of the training program integrated practical exercises, simulating encounters with each species in graphical form. It showed us how they attack and how they move.

It was amazing to look them straight. Though the sizes were shortened by the system to make us understand better, it gave a very clear view of them.

These exercises aimed to develop our ability to assess threats, communicate effectively, and employ our newfound knowledge strategically.

We underwent rigorous simulations, practicing peaceful negotiations, conflict resolution, and cultural sensitivity when interacting with the various species.

Throughout the training for this day, we were encouraged to embrace the concept of unity in diversity.

We understood that our strength lay in our ability to appreciate the unique characteristics of each species and adapt our strategies accordingly.

The beauty and complexity of the alien races we encountered became apparent, reminding us of the vastness of life in the universe.

{These are just a few out of those vast species present in the universe}

{You will be trained by the other species soon as you enhance your knowledge}

The system announced and we all were indulged in our studies and interactions, our bond growing stronger with shared experiences and mutual respect.

Together, we sought peaceful resolutions and mutual understanding, gathering all the information about the non-hostile alien species, embodying the diplomatic efforts of the Zodiac Warriors.

The first training not only shaped our skills as warriors but also instilled in us a profound appreciation for the vastness of life in the universe.

We were very much immersed in those studies. After getting back, all of us were given books and notes to take down.

{What we see, we forgot, What we read we think, and what we write we remember it till death}

The system announced and I was taken aback by those words. My past swirled in my mind again with flashes of my life on earth, as those words held a deep mark in my memory.

My father was an educator, I heard those words coming from him very often that I almost memorized them.

Though it felt like a deeper connection, I didn't speak it out. But it did ignite a blink of fire in my mind to know who was the one behind this extraordinary Stellar Vanguard.

It fostered a sense of wonder, curiosity, and empathy, guiding our actions as we ventured forth as envoys of humanity and protectors of peace.

Armed with our newest knowledge, I am sure that we, the Zodiac Warriors stood ready to face the unknown.

We were prepared not just with physical prowess, but with the wisdom and understanding necessary to navigate the complexities of a universe teeming with life.

After Two days, we were assembled in the grand hall again.

{Zodiac Warriors} the system declared openly, {Are you all ready for the next step of virtual training}

"Yes...!" The grand hall resonated with our shout. We were so excited but deep down inside me I felt that something tragic was going to happen today.

{Wear those costumes and get ready, Warriors}

Captain Ven commanded gesturing towards a trolley behind him. This time the simple masks were replaced by the whole costumes. Describing us the threat that lay in this training.

We cautiously wore those costumes and followed Captain Ven.

As he led us to a secluded area in the spacecraft, a wave of nervous anticipation washed over me. I exchanged a glance with Ava, and we both understood the gravity of the situation. We were about to embark on another practical learning experience that would test our courage and knowledge.

After going through the same process, the door of that room slid open.

This room was not bright but was dimly lit, the air held thick with a sense of reverence and caution.

I took a deep breath inside that safety costume and stepped in.

In front of us stood enormous glass containers, filled with a variety of chemicals and preserving the huge bodies of the bigger alien species we had never studied before.

The ethereal glow emanating from the containers only added to the surreal atmosphere.

{These are the most dangerous species we were able to catch}

Captain Ven, always composed and wise, explained the purpose of this practical exercise. He emphasized the importance of understanding the anatomy and biology of the alien species we might encounter. By examining these preserved specimens, we would gain valuable insights into their physical structures and potential weaknesses.

As I approached one of the containers, a mixture of awe and trepidation filled my heart. Inside, lay the body of a huge monster-like structure, Fellonodia, staring at me with his big round eye in the middle of its body, an imposing figure even in death. It felt so real that I was confused for a while that it might be still alive.

Its slippery exoskeleton glistened under the soft glow, revealing the intricate details of its formidable strength.

Carefully, I was immersed, observing every inch of it, like its limbs, noting the way its exoskeleton provided protection but also identified potential vulnerabilities.

The experience was both humbling and surreal as if peering into the mysteries of the universe itself.

I moved so closer to the container looking at it with enthusiasm.

But suddenly I jerked back in shock and fear as I felt it moved.

No...! That was just my imagination I think...!

How could a dead body move?

I bored into its eye, and felt nervous as I really felt that he was glaring at me.

How is that even possible?

Was it alive...?
