"We are now entering North American airspace," the pilot announced over the intercom. "We will be landing at the southern keys to refuel."

The southern keys were the Florida keys, but of course, the name Florida didn't exist in this world. Maybe with the lack of Florida, the craziness that seemed to plague the state would be gone too. Let's home there were no Aquitaine Florida man stories.

I already missed Riviere and the south of the homeland. I had only gotten to spend a week there and it was the best week of my life. Best week of BOTH lives. Two beautiful girls, sex five times a day, and two of those were three ways. My father didn't call once, the military left me alone, no Bian, Alphonse, Rolo, or Sasha. I wasn't risking my life fighting for an empire that wanted to expand and take over the world.

For a week, I could pretend I wasn't the prince of one of the world's biggest aggressors. I could pretend I wasn't a prince at all. I was just the luckiest guy in the world.
