"You should contact the court," Daliah said, writing in her notebook. In the distance, I could see smoke rising from across Bayard. One, two three, four different spots. Four different spots, four different bombing sites.

"I'm sorry, contact the homeland? Why?" Did Dahlia want to report me? The bombings had happened under my watch, so it was my responsibility. What would my father think when he heard? If he hadn't already. The city was crawling with OSI agents, eager to report back to my father.
