Chapter 3 : Fire Shell Pearl Search

"How long have I been sleeping?" Zhishu questioned Ariel.

"I found you unconscious and carried you to this cave more than a week ago." He answered.

Zhishu immediately stopped eating. She then got up and moved from where she had been sitting. It looked like Zhishu wanted to get behind something.

"I can't relax; I need it right away." Zhishu spoke as she stood up.

"First, get back in shape and strength." Ariel explained.

Ariel, who was present, tried to stop Zhishu with his words because it was quite improbable that she would return to the forest in her current condition.

Zhishu had a great urge to go, but as she became aware of her current situation, she eventually followed Ariel's suggestions to regain strength. Zhishu then sat down again with Ariel and Nero.

"Exactly what are you looking for?" Ariel inquired yet again.

"The pearl of the fire shell," Zhishu responded.

Zhishu then started to talk about how she got to this forest and why she fought the golden tail dragon . Zhishu actually wanted to take the fire shell pearl from the volcanic mountains in the middle of the forest. However, a fierce with golden tail dragon was guarding the fire shell pearl, so Zhishu had to fight the golden tail dragon . Zhishu didn't think about the fact that she couldn't stop the golden tail dragon power.

Zhishu was hurt by the golden tail dragon attack in the final fight, but she could also hurt the golden tail dragon and keep herself from dying.

"What is a fire shell pearl, and what does it do?" Ariel asked.

"The fire shell pearl is a pearl made by an old shellfish that lived in the lava for several hundred years. Zhishu answered, "This pearl can help me strengthen the spectrum of my element, which is fire, so I can go deeper into the portal more easily.

"What is a portal, and what is a spectrum?" Ariel asked in a curious way.

"What's the matter with you? Are you sure you don't know? Zhishu asked in wonder, "Actually, are you from this world or have you always been a caveman?"

Zhishu said, "Yes, I will explain a little." After that, Zhishu started to explain.

"The portal is a mysterious place that quickly appeared in this world. It is full of amazing treasures, but it is a very dangerous place. In addition to treasures, there is a tale that there is a great god who can grant any wish, give strength, and even give immortality." Zhishu said this, and then she continued to talk about the spectrum.

"The spectrum is a wave that makes elemental parts that break down in the body and can release a unique power. Broadly speaking, the spectrum is made up of the electromagnetic spectrum, the dimensional spectrum, the chemistry spectrum, the natural spectrum, the element spectrum, and the suppression spectrum.

These spectrums make many different things, such as light, darkness, sound, wind, earth, fire, water, and many more. Zhishu said, "In this world, many people have special abilities that come from these spectrums, but if I tried to explain them, it would take too long."

Ariel understood Zhishu's explanation of the spectrum right away. He couldn't confirm his spectrum because he was very weak and couldn't use his translucent eyes, but he thought it was the spectrum of light and thunderbolt elements because he was from the angel clan.

"Can anyone enter the portal?" Ariel inquired once more.

"Anyone who wants to enter it must have a portal explorer license because it is extremely dangerous there; if people enter it carelessly, they will definitely die," Zhishu explained.

"How do you get your portal explorer license?" Ariel inquired.

"Before you can obtain a portal explorer license, you must first obtain a graduation card from an academy; the graduation card will lead you to becoming what you desire as a merchant, royal employee, imperial warriors and guards, adventurers, or other vocations, a portal explorer has a high reputation and is hazardous." Zhishu responded.

"What exactly is a portal explorer?" Ariel asked, interrupting Zhishu's explanation.

"Once again, you are such a freak," Zhishu responded.

Then Zhishu went on to explain that in this world, people incur enormous risks to become portal explorers; they do so in order to find great power resources, either for themselves or to trade.

The appearance of portals cannot be predicted by anyone, and there may now be numerous portals in this realm.

After hearing Zhishu's explanation, Ariel began to question if the portal was connected to Ariel's past and the land of miracles.

"Do the clans of the Land of Miracles still exist, such as the angel clan, demon clan, fairy clan, necromancer clan, beast spirit clan, and giant clan?" Ariel inquired.

Ariel still hopes that the angel clan, fairy clan, and beast spirit clan are still alive, and he also wants to ensure that the demon clan alliance has been completely destroyed.

"Some say they're just fairy tales and that there's never been a place called the Land of Miracles; others say it's been wiped out for tens of thousands of years." I believe they existed because I saw evidence of their existence in one of the portals." Zhishu stated.

Ariel felt depressed because he thought of his family. Ariel, on the other hand, was relieved because the demon clan alliance had also been shattered; his sacrifice, as well as that of all the angel clans, had not been in vain.

"Did your sword come from that portal as well?" Ariel inquired.

"Yes, the sword was obtained by my grandfather while exploring the portal," Zhishu said.

Ariel felt that the sword gathered from Zhishu's grandfather was a relic of the angel clan since the engraving on the weapon was similar to the etching on the sword in the angel clan. Ariel pondered, Were his two weapons (allysum flower sword and eye of justice sword) also in the portal, or were they in this world?

Ariel began to think in his mind that there were similarities between Zhishu's explanation and Ariel's world in the past, but there were also differences that Ariel did not understand about the great god who could grant any request, including immortality, despite the fact that immortality was completely contrary to the laws of nature. Ariel didn't question Zhishu about it this time; he was eager to find out for himself.

Zhishu needs the fire shell pearl to be stronger right now so she can go deeper into the portal. Zhishu wants to find her lost father in the portal. Zhishu still thinks her dad is alive.

Since her father didn't come back from the portal, her family has been in danger. So, Zhishu thought that the more power she had, the better she could protect her family.

"I'm sorry to hear that your dad has gone missing. I hope you find him soon. I used to think that way about trying to reach the top of the power ladder." Ariel's words came out of the blue and weren't planned

Zhishu asked in a curious way, "In the past?"

"I mean, there used to be a story about someone pursuing peak power in order to protect his family and loved ones, but that great power instead gave rise to the envy, jealousy, and hatred of others, until it eventually brought great disaster to the entire world because it was thought to damage the balance of power." Ariel evade.

Zhishu did not deny Ariel's words. Zhishu agreed with Ariel on one point, that being infatuated with strength could lead to disaster, but she responded to Ariel's words with a graceful smile.

"Isn't it true that hatred, malice, and lust are always present in all living beings?" They will always be with you, no matter how hard you try to escape them."

"Isn't it better for us to have the strength to fight back rather than just remain silent?" At the very least, if we have more strength, we can get our retribution." said Zhishu. Ariel could see a fire of vengeance burning behind that beautiful and solid Zhishu character.

Ariel appeared to have an epiphany when he heard Zhishu's words; he immediately recognized he shouldn't continue to regret and blame himself. Even if he did not reach the pinnacle of power, there was no assurance that the demon clan would not destroy other clans or initiate a war. Because of their basic greed and malice, the demon clan will continue to demand complete control of the land of miracles while they are still alive. Ariel was once again impressed by Zhishu.

"I'm getting sleepy; I'm going to sleep first," Zhishu said after she finished eating and explaining many things about this world to Ariel.

"Good night," Ariel answered.

Ariel and Zhishu have grown closer since then, as they wait for Zhishu to regain her strength. Zhishu assisted Ariel in gathering food and fuel from the forest. Ariel knew that if he went farther into the forest with Zhishu, he wouldn't have to worry about meeting ferocious animals.

Ariel and Zhishu happened to run into a pretty enormous bear at the time. Although Zhishu's strength has not entirely recovered, bringing down the bear is not difficult until the beast is defeated. The bear was then brought home to be used as the following dinner.

Ariel had eaten huge meat for the first time since waking up in this world; previously, he had only eaten chicken and rabbit meat and little reptiles. In addition to the prepared bear meat, Zhishu used the bear hide to fashion a simple outfit. Zhishu retrieved a needle and thread from her magic storage pouch.

Ariel noticed Zhishu's behavior and realized that her storage pouch was similar in mechanism to his storage ring. It's just that there's one difference that makes Ariel's storage ring superior: while the shape is smaller, the space in Ariel's storage ring is larger than the storage pouches in this world.

Ariel asked Zhishu, who took out a needle and thread, "What are you doing?"

Zhishu answered, "You'll know later."

Zhishu and Ariel stayed together. They enjoyed living in a cave in the wild with Nero until one day Zhishu offered Ariel something.

"This is for you," Zhishu said as she gave Ariel something.

When Ariel saw it, it’s a simple outfit with a hood added to it.

"I made this for you using the bearskin we brought yesterday. I saw that the clothes you were wearing were old and worn. When I first saw you, I thought you were a pervert criminal," Zhishu said.

Even though Zhishu's joke made Ariel a little annoyed right now, Ariel felt happy. After being alone in the cave for a long time because he didn't want to have a relationship with anyone, He finally meets someone who can rekindle his drive to life.

Ariel wore the clothes that Zhishu had made right away, because the size and shape were pretty close to what Ariel needed. Zhishu was a little interested in Ariel's face and body at the time, especially when Ariel put his long hair in a ponytail, which made Zhishu's eyes stop for a moment.

"Thank you," Ariel expressed gratitude for Zhishu's gift.

Ariel's comments quickly dispersed Zhishu, who was intrigued by Ariel.

"I want to take a shower soon; it's been a few days since I arrived in this cave and I haven't taken a shower," Zhishu stated. Zhishu is awkward.

"Please use the small lake inside the cave," Ariel said.

"Watch out, don't peek," Zhishu cautioned Ariel.

Zhishu then hurried inside to take a shower, while Ariel proceeded to prepare lunch. A few minutes later, from the time Zhishu left to take a shower, there was a scream from Zhishu.

Zhishu's words rang through the cave, "Ariel, give me back my clothes!"

Ariel quickly heard Zhishu's voice. At first, Ariel didn't know what Zhishu was saying, and he was about to go over to her.

But when Ariel moved his hand, he could feel a soft cloth next to him.

Ariel started to understand that what he was holding was a woman's dress that belonged to Zhishu.

Ariel asked in a frightened voice, "How can it be here?"

The first thing Ariel did was look at Nero. Ariel thought that Nero did the nosy thing because there were no other people or animals in the cave except for him and Zhishu.

Ariel wanted to catch Nero right away so he could force him to say what he had done, but Nero flew away and ran out of the cave, making Ariel annoyed.

"Even if I catch Nero, how can I get a crow to talk?" Ariel asked as he watched Nero run away. Ariel was still curious: If it was Nero's fault, how did Nero steal Zhishu's clothes at that time? But for now, Ariel has to figure out how to give Zhishu the clothes and tell her what really happened.

Ariel then went up to Zhishu to return Zhishu's clothes. Ariel also wanted to explain that it was Nero's fault. Ariel didn't want to say that he didn't know because he would be even more suspicious after that. Ariel began to walk slowly toward Zhishu. It looked like Zhishu was sinking her body so Ariel couldn't see her naked body; only Zhishu's head was showing at that time.

"I didn't expect you to be such a pervert!" Zhishu yelled at Ariel in a mad tone.

"It's not me; this is all Nero's fault." "I was making food when all of a sudden these clothes were next to me," Ariel said.

"How did that happen?" Zhishu asked, rejecting Ariel's explanation.

"Put those clothes down right away! I'll teach you a lesson later," said Zhishu.

Ariel then put Zhishu clothes some distance from her a shower.. Ariel didn't want to get much closer to Zhishu since he didn't want to embarrass or irritate her.

However, sunlight from the top of the cave arrived unexpectedly, and its rays were directed towards Zhishu, who was bathing. Although Zhishu drowned her body to avoid being seen by Ariel, sunlight may penetrate the lake's bottom due to its clarity. So that the beauty of Zhishu's figure and brilliant white skin color could be seen. Ariel's eyes were shocked, as if his gaze had been drawn to them by itself.

"What are you looking at?" said Zhishu, who had not yet grasped her condition.

They both stared at each other and remained silent for a minute, until Zhishu recognized her condition: Ariel could see her body through the sunshine.

"Aaaaaaaa... quickly close your eyes and get out of here!" Zhishu screamed, breaking the silence.

Zhishu attempted to force Ariel away from her presence by firing a flame assault from her palm.

"I'm sorry," Ariel apologized as he ran away from Zhishu's flame.

Zhishu's face flushed instantly, and she submerged her head in the water as quickly as she could; at that moment, she felt a great deal of embarrassment.

After putting on her clothes, Zhishu went up to Ariel, still upset and ashamed.

"I'm sorry for how I acted earlier," Ariel said while slightly turning his face away. Ariel still didn't dare to look at Zhishu, and he was very embarrassed by the way he was acting, which made him look like a jerk.

Zhishu remained silent and speechless, as if she didn't know what to say. They both became awkward.

"I'm not the one who took your clothes earlier, but Nero," Ariel eventually answered, pointing to Nero, who had returned.

"At this point, just forget about this problem; don't bring it up again." If you bring it up again, I'll kill you," Zhishu told Ariel with a sharp look.

"Perhaps it wasn't you who took it; if it had been you, I would have noticed you approaching while I was taking a shower; perhaps what you're saying is true, it was Nero," Zhishu continued.

"If it was Nero, you didn't tell him to do it, did you?" Zhishu questioned.

"I swear to God, it's not like that," Ariel responded.

Zhishu's emotions seemed to calm down and she began to believe Ariel's remarks.

"But I'm curious, how did Nero steal my clothes without my knowledge?" Zhishu asked, her gaze turning to stare at Nero.

With Zhishu's power and awareness, she should be able to tell when something is coming toward her. Ariel and Zhishu both looked at Nero, but Nero's body language was as if he had never done anything.

"It looks like this crow isn't an ordinary crow; can you just give it to me?" Zhishu asked in a somewhat joking way as she stroked Nero's head.

"That's impossible; he was my first friend when I first woke up in this cave," Ariel said.

"I'm only joking. I forgot to ask how you got here, where you came from, and where your family is," Zhishu said.

"I don't know either," said Ariel. "When I woke up, I was already in this cave, and Nero was the only one who helped me."

Ariel chose to hide where he came from. He was afraid that if he told people where he came from, he would be a problem later on. Ariel thinks Zhishu is a good person, but he wants to be cautious.

"Perhaps you are a child who was abandoned by your parents when you were young because you were unwanted," Zhishu added, her face mournful.

"Your family must have left you and strange creatures must have brought you to this cave," Zhishu said.

When Ariel saw how Zhishu was acting, he decided to let it go. He thought it would be better for Zhishu to think that way so that no one would find out who Ariel was.

Zhishu said, "My body and strength seem to have returned; it's time for me to go look for the fire shell pearl."

Ariel asked her, "Are you sure?"

Zhishu said, "Yes."

"How sure are you that you can beat the golden-tailed dragon?" asked Ariel again.

Ariel asked this question because he knew that the golden-tail dragon Zhishu was facing was as strong as Zhishu or even stronger.

"I'm not sure I can beat it, but I will try and have to get the fire clam pearl," Zhishu responded.

"I'll help you get the fire shell pearl," said Ariel.

When Ariel saw how determined and strong-willed Zhishu was, he decided to help her.

"I'm not trying to insult you, but you shouldn't help me. Your strength is so low that the golden tail dragon will kill you with just one attack," Zhishu pleaded.

Ariel said, "I have a way" to try to convince Zhishu.

Ariel then told Zhishu what his plan was. Zhishu had to get the golden tail dragon to fight and move away from where the fire shell pearl was. The fire shell pearl will be taken by Ariel at that time.

Ariel feels that because of his low power, the golden tail dragon will be unaware of his existence.

"At sunset, we'll meet again in this cave. All you have to do is get the dragon as far away as possible from where the fire shell pearl is," Ariel begged.

Zhishu agreed with Ariel's idea because she thought it was a good one.

"Take this, put the pearl in this bag, and wear these gloves one more time. With your current strength, touching the pearl directly is very dangerous for you," Zhishu said as she gave a strange bag and gloves. Zhishu said that the gloves and pouch were made of dragon king skin and diamond silk that was sewn together. This was done so that they could stand up to the energy power of the fire shell pearl.

Zhishu and Ariel ran to the forest's volcanic mountain, where the fire shell pearls were. Zhishu went into the volcano first to start fishing for the golden tail dragon. Zhishu's first attack with her blue fire did make the golden tail dragon angry. The golden tail dragon then countered Zhishu's attack with a swipe of its tail, which made the nearby volcanoes fall a little. Zhishu kept attacking the golden tail dragon to make it angry enough to chase Zhishu. Zhishu's efforts finally paid off. Her constant strikes made the golden tail dragon angry, so it chased Zhishu. Zhishu moved away from where the fire shell pearl was right away and kept attacking the golden tail dragon so it would keep chasing her.

Meanwhile, Ariel, seeing that Zhishu had successfully lured the golden tail dragon away from the location of the fire shell pearl, raced to complete his task. Ariel and Nero then entered the volcano. The fire shell pearl was on top of a giant dead clam shell in the center of the crater. Fortunately, there were numerous towering rocks near the lava, so Ariel could approach the fire shell pearl.

Ariel took small steps up the mountain, braving the heat of the lava he was carrying, while Nero stood on top of the mountain, looking about. Ariel kept jumping over rocks and standing on them till the pearl was in front of him.

The pearl is the size of a human fist, but it has incredible power. Ariel quickly took the pearl using the gloves and bag Zhishu had given him.

Zhishu, on the other hand, continued to fight the golden tail dragon, and during the fight, Zhishu appeared to be overwhelmed by the golden tail dragon. The golden tail dragon's retaliation of a burst of fire and a strong golden tail slash caused Zhishu to bounce, and her body smacked into the cliff's edge.

When the golden tail dragon was about to murder Zhishu, it abruptly came to a halt. The golden dragon detected that the fire shell pearl had shifted from its original location. The golden tail dragon then abandoned his struggle with Zhishu and returned to the volcano, where the fire shell pearl was. When the golden tail dragon returned to the volcano, the fire shell pearl was gone, which enraged the golden tail dragon. His howl reverberated throughout the volcano. The golden tail dragon became enraged and went in search of the thief who had stolen the fire shell pearl.

The golden-tailed dragon then utilized his power to control the beasts in the forest surrounding the mountains; the beasts then spread out and searched for Ariel's whereabouts.

Ariel, who had managed to bring the fire shell pearl, fled as quickly as he could. Although Ariel attempted to flee, he was eventually discovered by the beasts commanded by the golden tail dragon. Many beasts chased Ariel through the forest, causing his steps to get cornered and stop at the edge of the cliff. Ariel and Nero were surrounded by a swarm of beasts, leaving them with no way to flee. When the beasts were about to attack Ariel and Nero, Zhishu appeared and hurled all of them away. Zhishu forced all the beasts lie down and wouldn't let them get any closer.

The beasts then all roared at the same time, as if calling something to come. It turned out that the beasts were calling the golden tail dragon, and it seemed like the golden tail dragon came right to where Zhishu, Ariel, and Nero were.

Zhishu's face started to show signs of panic. She was scared that she wouldn't be able to stop the golden tail dragon while also protecting Ariel and Nero. Zhishu and Ariel were attacked right away by the angry golden-tailed dragon.

Zhishu can defend herself with her sword and a technique called "Fire Prison." This technique can make a cage of fire around her, protecting her, Ariel, and Nero.

The might of the enraged golden tail dragon, along with the attacks of the forest beasts, rendered the fire prison unsustainable. The fire prison began to crumble, and the golden tail dragon's blasts and slashes were absolutely unstoppable. When Zhishu believed she could no longer fight back and was about to succumb to the golden tail dragon's strikes, the water and wind attacks merged into a tremendous attack, temporarily defeating the golden tail dragon. Then two people in black robes appeared.

When they arrived, the two of them said, "Miss, are you okay?"

They turned out to be Ritesh and Erwin, Zhishu's personal bodyguards.

They have been seeking for Zhishu for several days after she abruptly left home. After searching for several days, they happened to see a battle from a distance, which turned out to be a combat between the golden tail dragon and Zhishu, so the two of them hastened to arrive.

"Let's attack together using the combined triangle pillar technique," Zhishu entreated Ritesh and Erwin.

Zhishu then struck with Ritesh and Erwin utilizing their combined technique, taking advantage of the golden tail dragon's neglect, which had been hit earlier by Erwin and Ritesh's strike. The technique is a fusion of the three spectrum powers, which will combine into one and produce a powerful force. Ritesh uses the wind element spectrum, Zhishu uses the fire element spectrum, and Erwin uses the water element spectrum.

The element triangle's combined force severely damaged the golden tail dragon, allowing it to be defeated totally. The golden tail dragon then looks to have fled into the volcanic mountains and gone into hiding.

"It appears that we have defeated the golden tail dragon," Zhishu stated.

"Here are the pearls," Ariel said to Zhishu after the golden tail dragon was defeated. Ariel presented the pearls to Zhishu.

"Who is this person, miss?" Ritesh inquired of Zhishu. Ritesh was a bigger man than Erwin, and he spoke more than the quiet Erwin.

"This is Ariel; he is the one who saved my life after I was badly injured fighting the golden tail dragon and helped me retrieve the fire shell pearl," Zhishu said.

"What, fire shell pearl?" said Ritesh, as if he couldn't believe it and needed to double-check.

"Ehemmm, keep your voice down," Erwin intervened to quiet Ritesh.

"Fireshell pearls are extremely rare and valuable items; please keep your voice down," Erwin added.

"It's fitting that Miss Zhishu secretly left the family home; she needed the pearl." "Our family's strength will grow as a result of the fire shell pearl," Ritesh said.

"It's all thanks to Ariel; without him, I wouldn't have been able to obtain this fire shell pearl," Zhishu explained.

"Thank you very much, sir, for assisting my lady," Ritesh remarked.

"Miss Zhishu, we have to go back soon because there's something that needs to be done," said Erwin.

Erwin told Zhishu in a whisper that their enemy, the Dover family, was beginning to do things again that would upset the family border.

After Erwin told her what was going on, Zhishu told Ariel, "Sorry, I have to go home soon."

Then, Zhishu took some boxes out of her storage pouch. The boxes had gems, some gold, and valuable stones that could make the body stronger.

Zhishu said, "This is a thank-you gift because you have helped me and helped me."

Ariel said, "Thank you, but I can't accept it."

"Why isn't this more? If it's less than that, I'm sorry, but this is all I have right now," Zhishu said.

"It's not like that. I didn't do it for something; I don't need those things anyway," said Ariel.

Erwin said, "You're poor, but you act so proud," with a sarcastic tone and a look of disgust in his eyes.

"You're lucky Miss Zhishu gave you so much wealth; how could you refuse it?" Poor people like you are ungrateful," Erwin remarked.

Zhishu snapped at Erwin, "Stop talking!" She was angry and annoyed.

Zhishu told him, "Don't be rude to my savior. Apologize to Ariel right away."

Ariel saw that this world was no different than the land of miracles, where the powerful and wealthy would be respected while the weak and destitute would be ridiculed, belittled, and subjugated.

"Please accept my apologies for Erwin's recent actions." Zhishu's statements began with an apology to Ariel, which was followed by Erwin's apologies.

"Please forgive my earlier words," Erwin remarked.

"It's okay; isn't it common in every life that the weak and poor are always humbled?" Ariel responded.

"If you don't want to take my gift, please come with me back to my place. There, you can ask for anything you want. I also don't want you to be lonely in the cave all by yourself," Zhishu begged.

"Thank you again, but I'm not interested in the power struggle and don't want to return to the path of battle, at least for the time being," Ariel responded.

"Let's go back, Nero," Ariel said as he turned around and walked back to the cave.

Zhishu muttered something to Ariel before his steps got any further away.

"If you need anything, come to the Seren family; we will be very welcoming," Zhishu added before turning back and leaving with Ritesh and Erwin.

The two of them then began to depart the area, accompanied by the wind blowing and the leaves falling at the time.
