"Ahhh!!!, It hurts, It hurts!"
Cotex was in a dark room and rolling on the floor as blood gushed out from his wounds. You could say that his anger and the nature of his mind had saved him because all he could think about when the unpleasant feeling of being teleported helped bring his consciousness back from the brink of death was killing whoever had attacked them.
The veil of darkness had disappeared the moment he received all those grievous wounds and having his mana depleted.
Even with the scar on his face, you could tell that he look like a younger version of Cantel but one that had his features more pronounced and his eyes looking more sinister than a snake's.
His hair was dark, long, and greasy and he looked like he was 18 to 20 years old but with an aura of being someone powerful even from afar.
As he rolled all around the floor, a purple bottle suddenly appeared in his right hand after he let go of his one good blade.
He popped it open and drank all of it. Another one appeared in his hand and he poured half of it on the deep gush on his left face that took his eye and ear. He then poured some on his shredded shoulder and thereafter took out the rock spike that almost pierced his core and did the same to the wound after he stopped it from bleeding.
He crushed the bottle on the floor out of anger, creating a deep impact as his wounds visibly healed slowly while his eye socket an eye was being formed. It was slower because the part of his skull that had cracked was being healed first.
"Fuck! I failed my mission! I also had to use two out of the three of my 5th-tier healing potions which I was rewarded after I almost lost my life on another mission. I did not even get to use all the spells and rewards I have with me...."
He yelled as he again punched the floor, creating another deep impact. He groaned as the deep wound in his head felt so itchy that he wanted to put his finger inside and scratch vigorously.
That was when he looked left, right, and around the dark room he was in only to notice something his anger had overclocked till that moment.
"Brother!"
He screamed as he panicked. At that point, he was like a child. He did not know what to do as his brother was always there ever since he was born. Even when he had killed his mother after she scolded him for breaking a boy's arms and threw him into a river for winning a game of cards against him.
The boy was saved by others who were playing with them.
He was five at the time.
It was like only his brother accepted him for who he was, more precisely, it was like he was the only one who could keep him sane.
Inside the giant's belly, Cantel was in turmoil. It was not because of the hell that was happening around him, but the fact that if he was captured and was probably going to die, who was going to keep his brother from reaching the true potential of his insanity?
When he was swallowed, he crashed down into the stomach of the giant and he found that he was not the first to be captured as there were already 12 people in the large space he found himself in.
Seven of them were already dead while three of them had their skulls open and what he saw happening to them questioned if the queen was related to his brother because of the insanity of it all.
The ones that were still alive were screaming and crying while some had snoot coming out of their noses. To make things worse, they were all old men and powerful ones as well. He was sure that they had killed and tortured many people too but not to this extent. There was something about this method that would break even the toughest of men.
His heart raced as a beautiful young girl made up of leaves and branches but looked human with a hue of green all around her skin and clothes made out of nothing but large leaves took him while smiling innocently at him and put him on a chair.
'A druid?'
He thought as he guessed what would happen to him at that point. He looked at the dead bodies as they all had their brains fallen out of their skulls while they lay dead on the floor with dark blood flowing from four of the men's eyes, ears, and mouths.
He knew what had happened. It was something demonic.
"They violated their Broken Contract and it seems that the penalty they had agreed on when signing it was of the Grey Scripture. To have their bloodline broken, which would kill everyone with the same bloodline as them down to the second generation with the only way they could survive being if they were in an upper circle of power they were the ones that broke the Broken Contract. They must be from other dark organizations."
He thought. It meant that the others that were just dead with their blood still red were just single individuals acting alone and having no contract that they had imposed on their being.
'These innocent, cute, but evil-looking druids must know techniques to force a person to say something by stimulating the brain, and even though the contract will take effect immediately after the person says something that would break it, they would have a sentence or two which would give them an idea of what they wanted from them. If you do this to many people of the same organization while just asking for one specific piece of information, you could get every bit of information you wanted by just asking each one the correct question.'
He was lost at what to make of all he was seeing.
"Hahahaha!"
He started laughing crazily. The druid that was about to meticulously cut his skull open stopped and looked at him for a moment and then smiled like an innocent little kid again which incest him. At that point, he truly thought Acid Rain needed just one of these cute little things to put terror into their enemies while smiling innocently.
'Are elves this cruel and barbaric or is this the result of the queen leaving with Drageriens for far too long? Is this why no one attacks the Dragonian Kingdom? If she is this strong and brutal, then how strong is the king, generals, and Section Lords that leave in the Capital and strategic cities? Hahahahaha...'
He was going insane until the razor-like blade the druid was carrying started cutting into his skull. At that moment he remembered his brother.
'Acid Rain is much cruller than other dark organizations. Our Broken Contract is of the Dark Scripture. If broken, everyone related to you dies, even your wife and her family's bloodline. If I break the contract my brother will definitely die. From what she said she must think that one of the organizations is responsible for her child's death. Who would be so brave? We should just take the credit for the glory it would come with but that would also make us the kingdom's sole enemy. It would be a disaster if she finds out anything about our headquarter.'
He thought and as quickly as that thought came to him he calmed down.
'Is this why every Acid Rain member who reaches the third circle of power is forced to learn this spell? Fortunately, I don't have to destroy my soul, but I can sacrifice it for my blood relative. I will be giving up becoming an undead or possibly being bought back to life but I have no choice.'
Cantel thought as he made his mind up while the top of his head popped open with the cute girl making a face of triumph for her perfect sculpting.
'Brother, if you are alive, this will make you even stronger than you are right now. You were born with an abnormally high aptitude, it being 4 out of 5, making you rise through the circles faster than most. With my soul, your aptitude will increase to 4.5, maybe 4.8, or if you are lucky 5 out of 5. Use it to kill this bitch and destroyed this kingdom.'
He thought as he saw his skull being tossed away to the side by the cute girl like it was nothing.
"Rain acid upon this world and dowsed them with the sizzling cries of the weak. Only then will they know true pain and follow the one true lord."
He suddenly pronounced which made the cute girl who was about to cut into his brain stop again and wonder if her specimen was already broken, but what happened next surprised even her.
"Soul sacrifice."
He cast.
Life suddenly left Cantel and his body went limp. It was something that was not supposed to happen as they controlled the space that they were in and only they could contently heal a person they were working on or kill them. This was because working on brains was meticulous work.
Not knowing what happened and the fact that this specimen showed signs of being already broken, the girl just shrugged her shoulders and went to take another person to work on.
Five more had graced their workspace in just that short time. She thought that the queen had been especially hands-on with Cantel.
In the dark room, Cotez was looking up at the ceiling not knowing where to go from there. His mind was blank while tears come out of his eyes including the one that was now almost healed but still did not have an eyelid nor a complete eye.
All of a sudden he felt a warm feeling assaulting his soul but it was friendly and caring. Only one person could project those kinds of feelings to him and he knew that it was his brother as his soul resonated with him.
He let the strange form of this energy envelope his soul and for the first time felt it, knew what it was and he could feel it getting stronger.
The feeling lasted for only seconds but the charge was permanent. He stayed still for a while looking up but not at the ceiling but like he was looking at nothing but just staring.
After almost a minute went by he finally smiled, showing teeth that were nothing like those of his brother's but white perfect teeth.
You would be forgiven for thinking that was a smile of a normal person as at that moment his face and body looked like that of any normal person's.
He stood up, opened the door, and exited the dark room. He came out onto an underground city that was built around a content fall of rain which covered a large circular area and caves, staircases, and other structures built around it.
He smelled the corrosive mist coursed by the constant rain and looked up at the endless abyss where the rain came from.
He then looked at the rain and let out his right. The rain dropped onto his skin and a sizzling sound could be heard as the rain was acid and unlike other normal substances, this acid rain bypassed his natural Primal Defence and directly started corroding his skin.
It went to show that no lower-ranking Primal could handle what he was doing as they would be grievously wounded or have their whole hand melt away.
As the pain assaulted him, Cotez's resolve become even stronger as the crazy look that his brother had not seen for years came back to challenge the sane world.
In another cave that was much closer to the capital, Arkan opened his still small child-like eyes as his soul felt uncomfortable and aroused his intuition.
'Did one of my targets just get stronger?'
He asked as a small smile formed on his lips, surprising Draka as it was the first time that he had seen him smile.
'Where you close?'
He thought as he saw a handsome man carrying a green syringe coming to inject him like he was just waiting for any sign that he had woken up.
He quickly forgot about his intuition and acted like he was asleep but he could not fool his tormentor as a needle poked his skin and him letting out a hellish cry which he knew Draka hated more than what came out of his backside that could possibly be weaponized for the beasts.
The two were quickly becoming accustomed to each other.
Back in the capital, before Cantel's capture and Cotez almost courting death from just one attack that was not even the queen's spell but her having that much control over mana to wield such devastating attacks on Fourth Circle Primals, the captain, the lady from Snake Eyes and everyone had been looking at the queen on top of the castle before she started her rampage. She was more than tens of kilometers away but many had no problem seeing her while others saw a flouting dote in the sky. It was the capital after all and everyone that could afford to stay there had to train their cultivation in order to keep up with the prices and avoid being killed by challenges as per the rules of the kingdom."Dzagori."A person called out as he walked over to someone he noticed in the crowd looking up.It was the name of the captain of the guards of the city gates. Dzagori looked over his shoulder and saw a belly old man with muscles for days. He was bold and had scars all around his right hand goi
'Some would say the means to communicate with someone is the true essence of a human's desire, as to be able to convey one's feelings and to be understood is freedom itself. Well, how can I tell this inbreed maggot of a bastard that I want to throw him into a pit of boiling oil and fry him to a crisp while healing him each time that he is about to die and do it all over again?'Arkan was looking at Draka furiously again as he saw that the injection that was the symbol of torture for him in Eldeir had a now greener liquid in it.Draka saw this and just smiled like he was Frankenstein in the flesh, well only a much, much more handsome Frankenstein. This was all in Arkan's mind of course.Draka just injected him and watched as the process of expelling the poison was much slower again and took some notes down.He had made custom earplugs for the inhuman cry Arkan always let out while for the first time in his life, he had come up with a way to manipulate his respiratory system to shut dow
After that day, Arkan could not think of anything but that scroll. The fact that his intuition was not helping him at this point made him grumpy and now he even felt hungrier than he used to. After thinking for a while, he was sure that it was because of the fact that there were only dotes on that scroll with no real words written and he was even contemplating that it was meant for blind people. What turned his emotions into turmoil though was what Draka had told him after showing him it and going on a teaching spree that came out of nowhere. "This is the base of every cultivation for every Primal turned into a body language. In the Abyss Age, a time when demons walked every continent beside humans, the Old Primordials had to find a way to introduce cultivation to any human with the aptitude to cultivate." Draka said and Arkan was happy that he had been born in this age. He was sure that he would have died in those days for sure. Draka continued. "This was because they were losing
While Arkan was learning more than he thought that he would at the age he was which was only 2 months old at the time and because Draka was now always talking to him like his teacher when drank but understanding that he was a child and so kept his rumblings at least about the simple things about Eldier, he was getting closer and closer to the answer that kept escaping him.He was sure that there was something that he could do to make himself stronger even though all that he could do was to cry and poop, no, not cry but cream which was how he cried. In the capital, the queen came back out of the blue as the golem she had made fell from the sky above the capital and landed outside the First Section walls. It shaded the layer of trees and soil that it had absorbed when it first came to be and as it did so only the houses and humans that were still inside them could be seen as it got smaller. It jumped and landed on the section where there were no longer houses because of it and then fuse
The next day, Dontas prepared himself for something that he had never wanted to do in his life but knew that he was the only one that could complete such a task.‘In my lifetime, I never thought that I would go into that place.'He thought as he turned around and left his bedroom. It was early in the morning and he wanted to get this over with sooner rather than later. He arrived in front of Boa’s store in seconds and stood in front of it for some time as he looked straight at the front of the closed doors. He did not look up at the sign above but he could feel that he was being watched. It was like the old seer was watching, a feeling he was starting to forget. He steeled himself and went in. For someone who looked as scary as he was, this scene was priceless. For a split second, he smelled smoothing that was like boiled rotten flesh being cooked that took him by surprise but he managed to compose himself.“Ohh, you finally came in. I thought u might just pass by like the rest of t
As the King was contemplating the reason for childbirth, a woman was making her way from the city of Palagra to the capital. It was a long way but she was determined to reach there. She was wearing light leather armor that was grey in color and had fair features. She kept her hair in a ponytail style so it could not distract her in a fight. She had something to protect that she was carrying on her back. It was a baby that was calmly looking around with curiosity at the changing environment as she ran. It was a boy with black hair, not the usual brown which was the norm in the Dragarian Kingdom. He was only a month older than Arkan. He was held secure by a cloth as his mother did not want to always protect him when fighting an enemy from the front. By the blood on her front and on her armor, you could tell that she had been fighting ever since she left the safety of where she came from.'Damn, there are still lots of monsters roaming around close to the main road because of the beast t
"Oops, I almost got carried away there."Drollo said after looking at Drika's eyes and realizing she had been shocked by amount of killing intent that he had put out in that split second. She still had her guard up but had went from an attacking posture to a defensive one.She was now sure that the person that she was fighting was not a normal one. It had been a long time since she was so coutouse of her opponent and it went to show just how much a Primal's killing intent could change the course of a fight.'Good, at least now she is not being lead by her bloodline insticts.'Drollo thought. He let his guard down and stood up straight as he put his hands on his back like an old wise man.His gesture startled Brika but she did not let her guard down. She had just managed to reach the uppor tier of her Circle and was fighting someone who had been in her current Circle of power for years and who was more than her current age was something she never thought when considering a fight.Droll
