Draka

Guards ran to the scene and got there within seconds.

They were wearing dark grey leather armor and all of them had different kinds of weapons on them. You could tell by just looking at them that their armor and weapons were of high quality.

They all had the badge of a tall man slaying a dragon on their chest.

After reaching the area, one of them who had arrived faster than the others signals them to stop. He knew who the armor of the dead bodies belonged to and had wanted to kill them himself, but he was a guard of the wall which came with certain restrictions.

They waited for the hooded man to finish and after he left without them doing anything to him or questioning him, they took the bodies and removed any sign of a battle or blood on the road.

It was like nothing had happened.

'So, outside the walls, the rules are still the same. Do not kill those in a lower circle of power than yours unless provoked while those who are weaker can challenge and kill those who are in a higher circle of power to them if they do not fear death. If you are of the same circle of power, anything goes.'

He thought as he reached the line that lead to the city gate.

'So, it is still survival of the fittest. I wonder if the rules are still the same inside the capital.'

He thought as he gave the guard that was checking him a blue stone that glowed and was the size of his thump.

"Such a huge mana stone?"

The guard blurted out and quickly covered his mouth after realizing the disrespect that he had just shown such a wealthy man. A man with such stones was most welcomed in the capital after all.

The guard quickly put away the 5 gold coins that the person that was in front of the hooded man gave him and got on his best behavior.

This made the hooded man smile. The guard quickly called his superior while another guarded him in the guard house.

The next moment the very same guard that had been the leader of the ones who had been there when he looted the ones that challenged him went inside.

Seeing each other for the second time that morning, the guard just gave him a nod and he did the same. It was clear that paying with a mana stone as big as the one he had paid with gave him some status.

Seeing that even up close he still could not see past the darkness inside the hooded man's hood and thus could still not see his face, the captain of the guard also knew that this was a dangerous man.

He had seen his fair share of such people and could now tell by just being in their presence that they were not to be messed with.

He was perplexed at the idiocy of the three fools who tried to rob this man.

He took out a silver card and asked him one question.

"Name?"

Without hesitation, the hooded man spoke.

"Draka"

The guard lifted his eyebrow in response to such a name.

The card in his hand glowed bright and then dimed. Draka was now written on its top while the bottom part of it was a picture of the capital's three sections.

"Access up to the third district. You can only enter each district once using the access card. Once you leave a section, you will have to pay another fee. except for here. It also gives you access to the upper-tier markets up to tier three and auction houses up to the third district. For a permanent access card, you will have to pay 10 mana stones for each section up to the third."

The captain said.

"To get into the fourth section we will have to know your identity and do an investigation after you pay 100 mana stones."

He said and then nodded again. Draka nodded, turned, and entered the capital for the first time in more than 80 years.

The captain looked at his back and had a thought.

'Draka, that's a name from the old era. Is he that old or is his family royalty to have an incline to such a name? Maybe I am reading too much into it. Our kingdom is called Draga after all. Anyone could come up with such a name and not know the meaning behind it.'

He thought but put it at the back of his mind and went back to work.

The first section was hustling and bustling. While others were getting themselves used to the busy streets, though there was only a few of them, others walked with purpose.

The buildings were made of a brownstone that tainted the air as it had a rocky small to it even when built hundreds of years ago. The earth element was strong in this section.

Draka was the former. He was taking in the sight that he had not seen in a long time. That was before he remembered that he was the last person that needed to be acting like a tourist and had a baby in a cave that was in a cursed land.

The part of the section that he was in only consisted of the commercial side of the business. Here they sold everything, from food to slaves, beast meat to potions, and more.

It was as pretty as any tourist destination and a place to spend your money, the Section Lord making sure that it stayed clean as most of the section's money was made there.

There was also no need for guards. Every person inside the wall knew how to fight, whether man, woman, or child. Making trouble inside the wall was for those who dared death to come for them and managed to survive each time.

Investigations were carried out by the guilds though as in any kingdom or city and no matter how safe you thought you were, crime was still a consent.

There were also ventilation pipes around this part of the neighborhood.

'Mmm claver. Because of the rocks they use to build this section, the earth element is strong here. The vents must be for sucking it all in and replacing it with clean air. That is why it's way less profound here than in the other neighborhoods and parts of the section. And where does all that earth element go… None other than the Section Lord of course. His tower must still be underground.'

He thought as he made a note of all the changes there were now there compared to what he knew before disappearing all those years ago.

He calmed his head and prepared himself as he went to a destination that many sane people never went to.
