In this new place where he had come to call the heavens, the real currency in this place was Agbara, the proper name for Ambient energy that usually flow all about the place. The laws which were being used were only to manipulate the Agbara to do their biddings.

Therefore, Byao thought, if he was actually going to make it out here, then he would have to make sure that he had hsi tanks filled out already. And honestly, he was pretty much emptied out.

Looking farther around, there was no source of Agbara replenishment. It was safe to say that the First Heaven was really dried out in terms of this sort. In a way, while it was comforting to know that it was this dry because he had not run into any other life form around him. At least, any life form which was daring enough to come to him, but then again, it was depressing because it was a two way thing

You see the perk about being the King of the Orisha is that you just learn to equally balance both sides with one side feeling cheated in any way. It was a task which was fit for only one person. A duty which once again proved the versatility and resourcefulness of Obatala as the one who could truly lead the God Faced with the battling of the Gods against Iku, he had to think fast. Obatala had to make the decision which would kke the cut in the long run. A compromise. One which if he did take, both sides would be equally sated. He could not just side with Oya; that would be prejudice on her side. Neither could he side with Iku; that would be impeding his work duty. And also favoritism. Still, he owed both of them the right thing. Which was a seemingly tough one to do. He could not deny Oya of the justice she wanted for Laaroye. Knowing fully well that Ogun had been involved, if he did lave the matter unresolved then the tendeclncy

Faced with the task at hand, the mind of Obatala, King of the Gods was rally conflicted. Even if he had to step up to it in finding a loophole in which both parties could be satisfied, he could not avert the fury of the rest of the gods. The fury of the rest of the gods who had been thrown into the hassle and had expectantly faced defeat at the hands of Iku in his domain. The Orisha as powerful as they are, have this sense of narcissism. This is something which we do not debate, as it is regarded as godly pride. Or something to which the worth of a God can be determined. Still in the layman terms, narcissism is narcissism. The gods held themselves highly based on their Aspectual Laws and because of this, taking a defeat from Iku had stung so badly. Even though they knew the exact reasons why they were being thrashed. As it was because they were battling him in his domain. Unfortunately, this was something their hurt egos did not allo

Bayo barely had his life in his own possession by the time the whole atmosphere had cooled down. Or rather calmed down. To use cool in a place like this was grossly an understatement. If he was not here in flesh and soul then he would have argued that. But being here was different. There was never anything cool or warm in this place. It was always hot. And the recent battle in this place had not helped at all. The temperature had spiked up worse than it was initially, so much that Bayo began to perspire. Tongue hanging out, he moved, trying to make sense of what to do next. It was clear to him, however. What he had to do next was for him not to die. At least, for him to spend some moments alone without having to race for his life. And the recent adventure he had undertaken, Bayo admonished himself, that had balls. To steal bits of Agbara from the two raging and battling creatures that had fought themselves to death? If he had not been

  • Ascenders: Rising To Hero   41. Emere's Conviction

Demons. Allow me to clarify one thing. Demons are creatures, disfigured and extremely frightening to those of lesser minds to process their kind. And in likemind, a demon is also as irrational as the disfiguration it has all over its body.. That would mean that it applies very little to no sense when it does sense a cluster of Agbara. Especially in places like the First Heaven. That is, Agbara sources whichs re rather alien to it's make up and composition. Demons use the Laws of Darkness, any other Law which does not correspond to Darkness would be an attractive force to demons. And regardless of whether the pool of Agbara is being generated by one who is on a whole different level then they are, they mind not. They would thrust themselves in battle and fight to their content.. For if there is anything a demon must crave above anything else, it is chaos. Absolute chaos. Even in the civilisations where the demons have claimed to become more rat

Anger rose from within his guts. Spite and hatred swelling up from his bowels all the way to his throat. His face crumpled, squeezing bitterly as he observed the Hand of the Tower of Red Light still smiling sheepishly at him. "Why?" He mouthed out whilst rising to his full height of 10ft. Why would anyone support an Ascender? Why would anyone want to save an Ascender? Why? The word stung his tongue bitterly, adding to his already sour mood. He wanted to devour,.to rip the Hand of the Tower of Red Light arm by arm. And then hang his skin as a rug somewhere. Not only was he standing against him, he was stopping him from claiming the last bit of respect he could retrieve by killing the Ascender. And even more, the Ascender remained on the little hill, watching both of them with an extremely terrified look. Seeing that, he tried to console himself now. It was good that the Ascender was not making a move yet. He co

From the very moment his eyes rested on them, he knew what was next. And not just know, his Agbara Sensing ability could very much tell as well. That the Hand of the Sect was equally a behemoth of vast, unimaginable powers. But between the two of them, he could not tell who was stronger. Not that it bothered him much. It was very much preferable that he did not know their power ratings otherwise he could be on the verge of hyperventilation. He was scared, regardless. But at the moment, the saying that Ignorance was bliss seemed to somehow pacify him. In truth, if Yasmin was still around, he may have been able to find out about that. And he would have done that rather easily too But this was not the dispensation of Yasmin being around Since the strife at Amnor, he had barely had himself to stay alive. And already Yasmin was absent for most of it so he was adjusting that much. Perhaps, that may go up ahead to bu

"Ha! Blast away" Asoju Temi roared out immediately, a semi transparent cloud firing around his mouth. Immediately, the Hand of the Sect who had had his hand on the head of the Emere gasped. The corresponding moment, a sudden surge of energy blasting out against the chest. The next thing, The Hand was up in the air, his body hurled far away from the Emere. "Hah!" The Hand cursed just as he crashed down against the hard ground. He slapped his left hand against it in frustration and then jerked his legs. As he did that, in smooth transmission, his body gilded back, the mass of him promptly fixing on his bent legs. "Damn Emeres and their Charm Speak." He cursed out, his face revealing anger and irritation. "H-how

"Hahahaha…" The Hand laughed as he jumped to his feet and started running, chains clanking behind him. "No...no… how?" The Emere cried out watching the speed the Hand travelled with towards him. "My Charm Speak is not working… This is not how you are supposed to approach me. I should be able to control your movement speed and deactivate your power too. But I can't deactivate that." He desperately cried out, panicking as the chains of the Hand suddenly multiplied, all of them branching out to form a sort of porcupine back. "Fool!" The Hand smiled as he appeared in his face. "Unless you are a God, Charm Speak only works when your opponent can hear you." "I… I… I don't understand…" Asoju Temi whimpered, taking a frightened step back back as he witnessed the mass of the Hand jumping into the air. "Ha! Several of the Familiars seemed stuck to even act as they stared at Bayo, standing over the gigantic mass of the Turtle Backed Sonic Beetle. She could instantly guess what they were thinking. The Turtle Backed Sonic Beatss was already in front of him and the form of it was indeed tremendous. Just like he had seen from a distance. However, for each object she touched, she could only make out the soft, squished and slightly distorted forms of them. These were once living creatures. There were the bodies of the beasts which had been stuck down by the familiars so far. Pride surged in her heart but at the same time, looking on through the hazy vision of hers, she felt a bit of panic. What was Bayo up to now? “Hey, need a hand?” A voice called to her, helping her get back up. Rejuvenated by the source of the voice, Ronke summoned all of her will power as she rose, hefting

No matter what happened here, Ronke’s plan was not foolproof. Things could always go south. It was for this reason, Hana remained jittery all through the wave. None of that they had faced up till now could prepare them adequately to face a wave. She knew that much. Despite being Lord Classed, she still felt uneasy. Somehow, something would happen. Something that was unplanned for. That was what she looked out for. The one thing she would be able to tank out with her Lord Classed Soul Strength.
