Fifty

As the crowd looked around, waiting for the mysterious grandson and heir to stand, one person was spotted standing. He looked nothing close to a Frederick. He was putting on very simple clothes. He wore t-shirt and a pair of trousers with a pair of fine sneakers. He looked decent just like any ordinary man but a lot of people in the hall were all better dressed than him. His clothes didn't even cost up to a hundred dollars!

“Huh? This lad?”

“Sit down dude! I'm sure you didn't hear them well!”

Isn't that the Kent family son in law? Why is he standing?”

“Look at Amelia's son in law. That's him, right?”

“Someone should put his ass on his seat! This is no time for loosers to seek attention please. He should not try such before important people and men.”

Mumurs rent the air as Jake stood up and a few of them found their way straight to his ears. Everyone still thought of him as a loser and he had no intentions of proving them wrong. He walked out of his seat and took the microphone.
