Twenty Two

Jake stopped in his tracks and turned to see who it was. He saw Josie, holding the hands of a young man who stood beside her. From the look of things, the man was an employee in the company because he could spot a name tag on his cloth.

“Jake? Did you get a new job in this prestigious company? Definitely not, you are not qualified one bit! Or are you here to steal something?”

Turning to her boyfriend, she introduced him,

“That's Jake, the pitiful fellow who lived in our house. I'm glad he's no longer there. At least, I can breathe cos he stinks! Ewwww!”

Josie boyfriend, Davidson, looked at Jake and assessed him with his eyes. He wasn't impressed one bit. Before he could say anything, Jake spoke up.

“Why are you both here? Josie you don't work here and non employees aren't allowed inside here.”

“Humph! What do you know? I can go where I like, unlike you, who's ordered around. Ohh. Wait! Are you the delivery guy for the condoms we just ordered?” Josie further questioned.
