Lu Zhen woke up the next day feeling fresh and with a clear mind. He stretched his body and wings while still hanging upside down. He was about to continue going deeper inside the Wilderness when he noticed a commotion below the tree.A baby elephant and unicorn were running away frantically, their bodies covered in open wounds and injuries. Chasing after the calf and sparkle was a huge crowd of cloaked figures who surrounded the two baby beasts. Ezra's legs let go of the branch and did numerous flips before making a superhero landing. He looked at the two little beasts with curiosity and once he smelled the scent of blood, his senses went crazy. Every fibre of his body was telling him that if he devoured these two beasts, his strength would increase by leaps and bounds. He was currently in his beastman form so he could still restrain himself from going out of control. He then looked at the crowd that was chasing these two baby beasts.“Who are you and why are you chasing down these
The baby beasts finally woke up the next day but they were still very drowsy and tired from the sedatives which had yet to wear off. Slowly opening their eyes, they were met with piles of dried up beast corpses decorating the ground. Obviously someone had been working overtime to ensure their safety and that person was naturally Ezra. He'd only been able to finally get some rest a few hours ago.The two baby beasts with their wounds almost fully healed were planning on escaping from this murderous person lest they suffer the same fate. They were about to dash when they suddenly heard a voice come from behind. “You're finally awake? You know I have a lot of questions for you and you're not going anywhere before answering me.” said Ezra while yawning. He was obviously tired and still needed some rest. “What are you and where do you come from?” asked Ezra. These questions were very important because it didn't make sense for such creatures to exist on Earth without anybody knowing abou
“Stretch out your hand for me,” said Clara.Using her fingers as a sharp weapon, she split open Afanas’s wrist and massive amounts of blood poured out from the wound but didn't fall on the floor. Instead, the blood floated towards Clara. Some of the blood turned into a red wine glass and the blood left poured into the glass. She then held the wine glass elegantly with her dainty hands and took a sip before closing her eyes, she seemed to be enjoying herself. About five minutes later, she opened her eyes which were now glowing. “What did you find?” asked Dayi.“Nothing.” she answered. “That's something.”On the side, Afanas was sweating profusely because he knew what had just happened. This ancestor had just had a front row seat and watched his life's story for absolutely free. She now knew his deepest and darkest secrets, the people he met, plots if he had any or anything that he wanted kept in the dark. Fortunately she didn't care about all that and seemed to not have found what s
The beasts from the forest turned back to look at who was responsible for this commotion but all they saw was a streak of white light that dashed towards a certain direction. Lightning descended from the sky and fell on the tree, making it sway and glow. The Tribulation Lightning which was supposed to suppress anyone and anything in its area of effect, failed to deter the white streak light. On the other side of the tree, creatures from the snowy area didn't know that problems were coming their way as they watched the Elemental Tree bathe in the Tribulation Lightning. After a few powerful lightning bolts fell on the tree, the clouds parted and the sky became clear. ROOOAAARRR!!!Just when all the Spirit Beasts were about to battle it out for the fruits, a fearsome roar resounded throughout the area. This sound was laced with a thick and terrifying Killing Intent that the beasts decided not to act immediately but watch from a safe distance. The streak of white light finally made it
Lilith had failed in her judgement of who Ezra's target was. From the very beginning, Ezra had targeted his Killing Intent towards not the Fox Clan but her. She obviously didn't know this because she was mixed in with her group which made it look like Ezra was targeting the whole group.Another thing she failed to notice was the immense Killing Intent Ezra had for them. This type of Killing Intent wasn't something that would be appeased by simply calming the mind. It could only be appeased when the other side was completely annihilated. And lastly, Lilith failed in her judgement of Ezra. Just because Ezra had retracted his Killing Intent didn't mean that the intention to kill was also withdrawn. Due to overestimating herself and her capabilities, she'd dropped her guard which led to her miserable death. When Ezra retracted his Killing Intent, he did so in order for Lilith to drop her guard and relax. And when scrutinising her, Ezra found her pretty but much deeper than that, he foun
SCREEEEEEECH!!!!!!…An eerily terrifying sound resounded throughout the Wilderness and the neighbouring human territories. It sounded like a mixture of a howling wolf, a bellowing bull and the screaming banshee. It was creepy and scary to any who heard it, making their hairs stand on ends or scared one to the point of having a panic attack. “W-what's that sound?! What kind of monster makes such creepy sounds!” an explorer said. Yes, there was an explorer profession. A job fraught with danger but also wealth and opportunities as well as new discoveries. As the name implies, explorers were hired for explorations, whether it was a tomb, a ruin, ancient civilisation, treasure hunting, they did it all.And this team right here was one of the best if not the best already, the Noradora Explorers. This time, they were hired to find a treasure hidden in the desert landscape or the Zahara Desert. An insane amount of money has been deposited for this transaction so they were doing their best
SCREEEEEEECH!!!!The screech sounded even within these dangerous lands. A place with trees never before explored, the trees of ink black bark and leaves. Trees with only one long root instead of many piercing deep into the ground, these trees also released black dew that looked like the most toxic poison. This place hadn't insects or birds or at least they didn't make noise if they lived here because the place was completely silent, like a graveyard. This was one of the Taboo Lands not explored by humans, Black Forest. The deeper one went, the bigger the trees were. Even here in the outskirts of this place, these trees were very big compared to normal trees. A tree here would require five people to hug it. And in the centre of this place were extremely huge trees. They weren't tall but huge. Each of the trees here had a seemingly simple wooden door and a small window. The ground was paved with stones. The architect was simple yet beautiful, a very beautiful village-like place. When
Of all the Taboo Lands, this one was the most dangerous. Everything alive that entered this place died instantly. Some explorers had even watched as their partners died right in front of their eyes before they too died from the same attack. Redmist Swirlings was the name of this Taboo Land and it was given this name because of the red mini tornados that swirled calmly within the area. There were so many tiny red tornados that scientists had once tried to study this phenomenon but unfortunately they were wiped out before they could even do anything. When one entered within range of the small tornados, the tornados would chase after them, devour their Essence and leave a dry corpse behind that turned into dust with a slight touch. There was also one big red tornado, even though it wasn't as big as a natural disaster tornado, it was pretty big. If one could travel freely in this place, they'd be able to see a massive hole on the ground where the big tornado was or rather where the big
