CHAPTER 6

After hours of driving, the car Adrian and Cecilia were both in, came to a halt.

Looking out the windows, Adrian felt he was in a strange land, the buildings were all of exquisite tastes and well built.

This place or the parking lot they drove into was of course the most famous Plaza in the city, in all of the country.

"Cecilia, what are we doing here?" Adrian McCain asked as he kept looking around.

As far as he knows, his outfit doesn't look worn out so there was no need to stop in front of a famous Plaza, 'SOUTH COAST PLAZA' in the United States.

"Calm down Mr Adrian, this belongs to your family. The Louison's, they own possession of this plaza you see." Cecilia said humbly.

"Wow!! This is huge, I am still getting used to all of this don't mind me let's go lead the way." Adrian McCain uttered in bewilderment.

Cecilia chuckled and came down from the car and so did Adrian who was following her lead.

They got into South Coast plaza and as they walked in, Adrian just kept admiring everything and everywhere.

He has of course been to shopping malls, but hasn't been into one of these yet. It looks way bigger and filled with lots of people.

From the endless rows of shops to the glossy window displays and parades of eager and happy shoppers clutching juices as they go about with their businesses made the view astonishing to Adrian.

But something else caught his attention, he saw someone quite familiar, and when he looked deeper he recognized him at once, this was the same man who was flirting with his wife and making fun of him, not very long ago.

'Martins.' Adrian thought as his fist tightened voluntarily.

Just at this same moment Martins saw Adrian and his brows creased as to what someone so lowlife would be doing in such a luxurious plaza and standing very closely to a beautiful young lady.

Lots of thoughts began running through his mind.

'What on earth is he doing with such a beautiful young lady? Is he helping her out by carrying her bags or something like the errand boy he was?' Martins thought.

After thinking of a plan he decided he wanted to show himself off to the young lady and gain her attention as well as prove to Adrian that he held a high position in the plaza.

"Hey you, what are you doing here?" Martins asked.

Adrian didn't say a word, he felt like he would get really furious if he did.

So Martins mistook his silence for fear and that prompted him to yell even more.

"Who allowed this riffraff to get into this plaza? Are you all deaf? Who brought this thing in here?" Martins yelled.

Cecilia then retorted saying; "I did, is something wrong with that?"

'How could it be?' He thought inwardly and blurted out

"You aren't supposed to bring your cleaners in here, if you are a member of this distinguished plaza I will have your membership card tarnished for doing this."

"Excuse you?" Cecilia asked in surprise as to what he was saying.

"I am very serious Miss, bringing such low life people in here could mean trouble, coming in here without an invitation is punishable and such things made the owner of this place upset and I wouldn't like it to repeat itself. If you will please take him out and come back in alone or you leave with him." Martins blurted out.

Adrian was really upset after knowing that this entire place belonged to his family but he didn't want to say a word and wanted to see what Martins would do so he asked;

"How come you were able to enter here? And what would you do? Who said you could come in here?"

"You could get killed by simply walking in here with no membership card or invitation. I was able to come in here because I have a cordial relationship with the owner of this plaza." Martins retorted.

'What on earth is he driving at now?' Cecilia thought and immediately decided she would play along with it and so she said,

"Oh no, what do I do? I don't want to be killed."

Adrian smiled inwardly seeing Cecilia act like that so he was watching to see how the drama unfolds.

"I can save you both only on one condition." Martins said

"Name it and I will do it, I don't want to die." Cecilia said, still pretending to be scared.

Martins walked towards her and whispered into her ears, " I can save you only if you agree to warm my bed for the night."

"What?!!" Cecilia yelled.

"Yes, that's the only thing that can keep you two alive." Martins uttered.

Cecilia became really furious not to talk of Adrian who has been upset since he laid eyes on Martins.

It looked ridiculous and preposterous to her, she was about to call someone when a group of men on black rushed towards them.

Just then more men came and this further gave Martins some leverage that he said,

"Oh no, this is the end, I told you a lot of things would happen. These groups of men are the board of directors to the boss and owner of this plaza, just agree to what I tell you to and I will make them go away."

Cecilia smirked at him, because he had no idea what was going on.

She knew he was just some wanna be guys who feel they could actually belong, but what he didn't know was that Cecilia was already made, she was working directly to the real owner of the institute which was a common knowledge to the men who had rushed in and those around her except Martins who was asking for something next to impossible like having her on his bed.

Surprisingly as the other men walked towards Adrian as well as Cecilia.

They saluted, in other words, bowed down showing their respects to Cecilia which took Martins by surprise.

It came as a shock that beads of sweat began to form on his head, in less than two seconds they began to drop.

Nervousness has taken over, he kept looking around trying to figure out what was happening.
