CHAPTER 69

The air was thick with tension as Leon made his way back to his quarters. The meeting with the witches, the revelations about the Heartstone, and the looming threat of Marcus weighed heavily on his mind. He couldn’t shake the feeling that something darker was stirring beneath the surface.

As he opened the door to his room, the familiar scent of cedarwood and earth filled the air. It was meant to be comforting, a reminder of home. But tonight, it did little to soothe his nerves.
