90-A Sarcasm

Diana didn’t say anything the entire way home. After a long silence, she finally looked at Dixon. "Am I foolish?"

"How could my wife be foolish?"

"You always say I'm kind-hearted, but being too kind is just as bad as being foolish, right?" Diana gave a bitter smile. "My eldest aunt has always looked down on my family. I don’t like her, but I can’t force myself to hate her just because she's my aunt."

"But there are people in this world who don’t deserve my kindness, right?" Diana asked again.

"You didn’t say anything today so I could realize this on my own, didn’t you?" Diana looked at Dixon, her tone serious.

Dixon chuckled. "I just said my dear wife isn’t foolish; in fact, you're very smart."

After Dixon’s response, Diana fell silent. She looked out the window, taking a deep breath after a moment.

"Dixon, I realize I’m starting to like you." She didn’t look at Dixon, but her words made his heart skip a beat.
