97-Let She Sleep

Dixon carried Diana in his arms. "Let’s go," he said gently.

Diana remained silent, resting obediently in Dixon's embrace with her eyes closed. She didn’t want to see any of what had happened.

After they left, Gobu entered the room with several other men.

“What are you going to do? What do you want?!” Nato shouted in fear, feeling as if his soul had left his body.

"Take him away!"

On the way home, Diana never let go of Dixon. Hiding in his arms was the safest place in the world for her.

Dixon carried her all the way back. When they reached home, Dixon noticed that Diana had fallen asleep in his arms. He carefully tried to lay her down on the bed, but she startled awake, panicked.

“Dixon! Dixon!” she cried out.

“I’m here, just relax; I’m here,” Dixon reassured her. He held her close, letting her fall back asleep in his embrace. She was truly traumatized.

Shortly after, Yoruna and William hurried into the room, their faces full of worry. But they sighed in relief
