CHAPTER SIX

VAMPIAN KINGDOM

REMUS

I sat at the round table, flanked by the two most powerful kings in the land. My heart pounded in my chest as the tension in the room thickened. Anger boiled just beneath the surface, threatening to erupt at any moment.

"We need to strike now," Adolphus said, his voice sharp and urgent. "Before he becomes even more powerful."

Marius scoffed. "And you think we stand a chance? Did you not witness what happened at his birth?"

My stomach churned with fear as Adolphus spoke again. "You're weak and scared. If you can't join us in this battle, step aside. We need to know who's strong enough to lead this kingdom."

The air crackled with electricity as we all stared at each other, waiting for someone to make a move. I could feel the weight of the decision hanging over us, knowing that whatever we chose would have dire consequences. Would we band together and fight, or would we crumble under the weight of our own fear?

My heart was pounding in my chest as I faced Adolphus. He was a formidable opponent, one whose very birth had given him control over the weather. But I couldn't let that stop me. I had to find a way to defeat him.

"Adolphus, you are trying to battle with someone whose very existence defies the laws of nature," I said, my voice shaking with adrenaline.

But Adolphus wasn't intimidated. He barked back at me, his eyes blazing with fury. "I will not be defeated by the likes of you!"

The tension in the room was palpable as Marius stepped forward, his face twisted in anger. "You all should calm down," I shouted, trying to diffuse the situation. "Let's find a possible solution. Or do you think this ranting and arguing will solve the mystery disturbing us?"

Marius cackled, his eyes fixed on Adolphus. "Then tell us the way out, because Adolphus here doesn't have any solution to this riddle."

Adolphus remained silent, his gaze fixed on me. I could feel his power pulsing through the air, threatening to overwhelm us all.

"I think we should strike at once without hesitation," I suggested, my voice barely above a whisper. "Because the more time we waste, the more his power grows. So the earlier we act, the better for us."

We all agreed at once, and with a sense of grim determination, we prepared to launch our attack. The fate of our world hung in the balance, and I knew that only by working together could we hope to emerge victorious.

GREEN VALLEY KINGDOM

MARIUS

I can feel my heart pounding in my chest as we sneak into Green Valley under the cover of darkness. We move quickly, silently, with only the sound of our own breathing to keep us company. Our target is the house of a young boy, and we're here to execute our plans.

As we approach the house, I can feel the tension building inside me. We need to be careful, to make sure we don't get caught. But we're determined, and we push forward.

Finally, we reach the house, and we slip inside. But we're not alone. The boy's mother is there, holding him tightly with fear etched on her face. She pleads with us not to touch her child, but we ignore her and move closer.

Remus reaches out to take the child, but he recoils in pain, shouting out in surprise. Adolphus tries next, but the same thing happens. I can feel my anger rising as they both fail.

"What's going on?" I demand, my voice shaking with frustration. "Are you both weaklings, or are you just acting?"

As we stand there, frozen in fear and confusion, I can't help but wonder what will happen next. Will we be able to complete our mission.

I take a deep breath, my poisonous sword in hand as I advance towards the terrifying mother. She's already stopped begging, and I know I have to act fast.

"Give me the child or I'll kill you both!" I shout, my voice trembling with adrenaline.

But she doesn't move an inch. She just stands there, staring at me with cold, dead eyes.

"I said give me that monster or I'll kill you both!" I repeat, my anger rising.

Still, she doesn't budge. She's fearless, and I can feel the tension building between us.

"You'll have to kill me first before you can get to the child," she says boldly.

I charge towards her, ready to take her down, but with a twist of her finger, she puts me to a halt. Remus and Adolphus laugh, mocking me.

"Go, Marius, kill the child," Remus sneers.

My anger boils over, and I charge towards the mother again. But this time, everything becomes thick, dark, and loud. I can barely see or hear anything, but I know I have to keep fighting.

Suddenly, a voice booms through the darkness.

"You've crossed the border, and this is your reward."

Before I can even react, we're all locked in a fierce fight. The darkness is suffocating, but I keep fighting, determined to come out on top.

Of course my heart was pounding as I heard the voice. But since we had crossed a border and now we were going to pay the price. I looked at my companions, fear etched on their faces. We were keep fighting, but against what?Suddenly, the darkness was filled with the sounds of swords clashing. We were fighting for our lives.

I felt something strange taking over my body. It was as if I was possessed by some unknown force. I tried to fight it, but it was too strong. The swords kept clashing, and I could feel the pain of each cut and piercing.

Then, out of nowhere, a bright light shone on the boy and his mother. The power controlling me left, and the voice spoke again. "Next time you try such a mistake, I won't spare you."

The darkness disappeared, and we were all wounded from the fight. The boy's mother was smiling as she approached us. I knew we had to get out of there, and fast. I was the first to run, with my companions following close behind. We were all panting and breathing hard as we parted ways to our respective kingdoms.

As I ran, my mind was racing. How was I going to explain what had happened to my people? Our powers had been useless against the little boy. It was clear that we had a lot of work to do if we wanted to bring him down.
