CHAPTER TEN

** GREEN VALLEY KINGDOM**

DEREK

On recognition it was my long-lost brother Gavin, who was supposed to be dead! He had a wild look in his eyes and was holding a mysterious object in his hand.

As I tried to approach him, he suddenly disappeared into thin air, leaving me in shock and confusion. What was he doing here? Was he working with the Invaders? And what was that object he was holding?

I knew I had to find out more, but first, I had to make sure my kingdom was safe from the Invaders. With a heavy heart, I ordered my elves to prepare for battle and defend our land at all costs.

As the enemy approached, I felt a surge of adrenaline and fear coursing through my veins. This was it - the moment of truth. Would we be able to fend off the Invaders and protect our kingdom, or would we fall to their ruthless attacks?

Gavin reappeared, this time with a group of powerful allies who had been hiding in the shadows all along. Together, we set to fight the three Kings

Our swords clashed, the sound ringing through the forest as Gavin and I battled fiercely. He moved with unexpected skill, keeping my mouth agape in shock.

I narrowly avoided his knife, my heart pounding with adrenaline. But I didn't back down. With a swift thrust, I plunged my sword into his neck, then rolled towards him to deliver a powerful kick to his stomach.

Remus cursed under his breath, swinging at me with all his might. I dodged his punches, but when I tried to sweep his legs, I fell to the ground. I gritted my teeth and lunged at him, but he threw me off easily.

As I got up, I realized too late that Remus still had his knife. Gavin screamed my name as I dodged the blade, but it grazed my cheek, leaving a trail of blood. Gavin looked at me with concern, but I put on a brave face.

"If you want to make it up to me," I growled, "let me burn off your face next time."

**MARIUS**

"I think it's time to show this king who's really in charge," I whispered, my finger pointing towards Remus and Derek as they clashed in battle. With a flick of my wrist, a powerful gust of wind sent them flying.

My lightning-fast speed allowed me to reach them in an instant, and Derek's terrified expression only fueled my excitement. "You'll watch your child die before joining him," I sneered, relishing in the fear that consumed him.

But Derek wasn't going to let me have the upper hand. "You won't touch a hair on his head," he growled, his voice dripping with venom.

Suddenly, a punch came out of nowhere, sending me hurtling through the air. But I refused to let it break me. With a graceful landing, I stood tall, watching as Derek and Remus gasped in shock.

"This is just the beginning," I taunted, a wicked smile spreading across my face. "And as for you, Gavin, your betrayal won't go unpunished. You may have disguised yourself as a demon, but you're no match for me, your grandmaster."

Gavin's words echoed ominously as he glared at me, his hand hovering over his sword. I could feel the tension crackling in the air between us, the weight of our past animosity heavy on our shoulders.

But I wasn't one to back down from a challenge. I smirked, my eyes glinting with mischief as I leaned in closer to him.

"You may think you've got what it takes, Gavin," I said, my voice low and dangerous. "But let me remind you of something. I was the one who killed your parents. I was the one who sowed the seeds of hatred between you and your brother."

Gavin's eyes widened in shock, and I could practically taste his fear. But he quickly regained his composure, his grip on his sword tightening.

"Is that why you're here?" he spat. "To challenge me for revenge?"

I chuckled darkly, relishing in the thrill of the moment.

"Oh, revenge is just the icing on the cake," I said. "But first, I think I'll finish you off. And then, well... let's just say your weak little brother won't stand a chance."

Gavin's face twisted in anger, and he lunged at me with his sword. But I was ready for him, dodging and weaving with ease.

"Brother! Protect the child and his mother!" Gavin shouted, and I could hear the sound of footsteps as Derek scrambled to obey.

But I wasn't going to let him get away that easily. I chased after him, my heart pounding with excitement.

"So much confidence and boldness," I taunted him. "But it'll only lead you to an early grave."

As I stepped forward, the ten Elves attacked me with fierce fireballs. But, with a quick flick of my wrist, I quenched their flames with a blast of ice. As I advanced towards them, they drew their swords, ready to attack.

"Just hand over Rudolph and I'll spare your lives," I growled. "Failure to do so will be visiting your ancestors."

"You'll have to take him by force," Derek said boldly.

I smirked and unsheathed my sword, Maganatus. The fight was fierce and Derek was a skilled opponent, dodging my every move with ease. The moon shone on our blades, the sound of our clashing swords filling the air like drums.

Suddenly, Derek pierced his sword into my stomach, but I quickly retreated. He grinned, signaling for me to come at him again. But, I knew he was taking charge of the fight and I had to show him what I was made of.

With a twist of my fingers, I sent balls of fire towards him. He dodged them at first, but soon grew tired and collapsed to the ground. I advanced towards him, smirking.

"And this will be your end," I said.

But, Derek's words caught me off guard. "I'm very sure the moon goddess will give me a second chance, even if it means you kill me at this moment."

I hesitated for a moment, but then dived my sword into his heart before cutting him to pieces in a fit of anger. I was even more furious when I couldn't find the other Elves who were with Rudolph.

"I must get you all," I muttered as I began tracing their direction. But, suddenly, their scent vanished into thin air.
