On a street in Lagos, a young man at the age of 18 was walking mindlessly with a lifeless look in his eyes, he held a bottle of strong alcohol, taking constant gulps without mindling the irritated glances directed towards him. Been born an orphan with no one to call family, that was just a scratch to his thoughts, the worst part is been born in a country where education is everything and he couldn't afford it...he has been living on the street since he was eight and has done many odd job and terrible things to survive.

As if life still felt he haven't had enough.....he was dragged in a mob group where stealing and killing are the order of the day, the rich use them for their dirty jobs and dumb them when they are done...with the statement "it's strictly business nothing personal ".

From a timid 8 years boy, pushing through hardship, loneliness, pain, suffering, hunger, sorrow. Having to either steal from neighbors....ahh, he doesn't even have one. Having to go steal from people walking around or waiting patiently till nightfall to sneak into a shop, store, just to survive.

Having no means nor help rendered to survive the next day, enduring the excruciating pains gifted to him after been caught stealing and beating without pity for his scrawny body.

"Ahh...such wicked people"

How about a place to sleep.....well there is no one available, he sleeps wherever sleeps meets him. By the way side, under bridges, at the front of shops and so on. Hell even patrol cops wouldn't allow him sleep peacefully under bridges, he would be chased without having to enjoy his sleeps.

Having to force his body to be aware of his surroundings while at sleep, not counting the friendly visits of insects and mosquitoes who happily take regular juicy sips of his blood.

Into becoming a skilled, fearsome and nightmarish assassin, robber, killer.....what else should he be called. An insect that is hard to kill.

He had no choice but to willingly join a small gang that has to do anything to survive. A pest that had to follow the gang from the point of raiding till they got to their hideout, been beating by gang members just to throw him off their back and trail. He brazenly followed until walking right into their hideout.

Such guts, enduring been beating and thrown outside, having to brave a bullet shot past his ear just to scare him away. Alas, the pathetic boy wasn't impressed. Having to survive been abandoned on his first mission with the gang.

Been chased down by cops and trained dogs, emerging as the only survivor against the cops and dogs, blood dripping from his battered body as he walked into the hideout, dragging a trail of blood to the hideout.

Being the sole survivor of the backlash of their mission and the rading of cops into their hideout. Meeting up with kids his age, forming a bond with them, not knowing their real identity until being chased and hunted by cops.

Being introduced to a new gang by his friends, having to know their real identity, becoming a member of a no name gang which later bacame a fierce and feared gang.

Being sent on dangerous missions with his friends and coming back without errors, thereby branding the name of their gang as one not to be trifled with.

You try then no one knows what caused your demise, even government became weary of them. They became a group that threatened the authority of the higher powers, though working for the higher powers, isn't this ironic??

Becoming the deadliest in the gang, having the most murder, swift, hit and run skill.

Until....

' Damien, Rufus, Jamal, Bryant, Vivian, killer. They all died, they died because those MF gave a false information and got us into a trap, my comrade who we grew up together, Vivian, Jamal . I miss you.

'Those rich dogs'. he paused. He gulped the bottle of alcohol and continued.

' what can I even do, I am but a poor asshole, who has no future, no power, a no name, I can't even control this street talk more of a state or an entire country.' his thoughts were running wild.

'Oh i could actually do that with the gang...damn it, all of them, all of it....'

' I will make sure I get my revenge, I will make sure they pay, I will make sure I bring back the name and might of my gang....I will make them pay with their blood....'

On his way, a large figure barge into him, making him spill the alcohol in his mouth away and disrupting his line of thought.

" Hey watch where you are going dummy." the person said.

" He barged into me and can't even say sorry, is this the same me that wants to go against those big shots, with guards numbered in hundreds." he mumbled.

" Hey you stink man, go clean up, you reek of dungs." a feminine voice shouted at him.

The young man ignored them as he continued mumbling away and gulping more alcohol.

" Jamal could have survived if he hadn't risked his life to save me, why, why, why. you have a brighter future, you are handsome, more built, more physics, knowledgeable even though we didn't schooled, you were the brain of the group. I'm just good with weapons, that's all."

" Vivian, oh Vivian. Incomparable beauty, gave herself up to save this life of mine, became a sl*t just for me to be free from the clutch of that bastard, I couldn't even look into your beautiful eyes, Vivian. You could have just ran when you could, you were far away from everything, you could have just dropped the damn sniper and run for your life, why come into that shit hole to save me. You could have lived a life as a classy girl, but you stupid girl couldn't get rid of me and Jamal. hahahahahah." he mumbled nonstop.

passersby ignored him and took his words as rants of a drunkard.

" I'll get back at them, I'll avenge your deaths. I'll rip every single cells in their body." he declared while clutching the bottle tightly.

The young man kept on cursing those damn leaders for giving a mission that cost most of his gang members life and almost his life. He was furious but he has no power to fight them, he then decided to form and build his gang with a solemn determination.

When he imagined what he would do with his gang a huge grin appeared on his rough but cute face, he was happy and planning how he will execute his plan when suddenly the last thing he heard was a shriek, the next instant his sight became dark while his body fell lifelessly on the hard ground.

He was killed by a stray bullet which sunk directly into his forehead.

Instead, he twirled a small crystal in his fingers, his expression somewhere between bored and unimpressed. "Who would’ve thought a Gilberk-tier beast wouldn’t survive a simple test of my skills… sigh, what a waste." His voice carried a dramatic lament, but the laziness in his tone made it clear he wasn’t all that heartbroken. A familiar voice spoke up from behind him. The once grand and imposing chamber, filled with ornate carvings and ancient symbols of power, now felt like a tomb. The air grew suffocating, pressing down on the kneeling men with an unbearable weight. The energy in the room twisted, thick with murderous intent. The three men who knelt before him trembled violently, sweat trickling down their temples. Their breathing turned shallow, their limbs stiffening under the crushing force of his aura. One of them, a man with a scar running down his cheek, swallowed hard, his voice quivering as he spoke. “C-Clan leader… w-we didn’t know how it happened… W-We felt a slight energy fluctuation, and we rushed to investigate, but w-when we got there… the A-Ancestral Gate was… i-it was…” The words refused to co

Besides, our little bet is still active, and my wealth is increasing by the second.” The announcer smirked. “Oh, I can’t say the same for you, though,” he added smugly. Lisanna scoffed, crossing her arms. “Yeah, yeah, get all cocky while you can, you lousy, overgrown dummy.” “Hey! I ain’t overgrown! I’m still young!” the announcer protested. The once-calm energy thrashed violently, twisting and writhing as if in pain. The fluctuations sent shockwaves rippling outward, making the fabric of space tremble. The energy condensed further, making the visibility nearly impossible, forming an impenetrable mist of swirling power. At the very center of this phenomenon, where the energy was the thickest, stood two figures. They were garbed in simple robes that flowed weightlessly, untouched by the turbulent surroundings. One of them, clad in a crimson garment, stood tall, his presence exuding a quiet confidence. The other, wearing ash-colored robes, seemed more composed, his stance steady and unreadable beneath the hood th

A man, poised and enigmatic, leaned back against the velvet couch, his fingers tracing the rim of a crystal glass filled with champagne. He swirled the golden liquid absentmindedly, his thoughts lingering on the weight of the competition and the storm yet to come. Despite his outwardly relaxed posture, tension coiled in his muscles, a foreboding sense that refused to dissipate. “It’s about to begin,” he murmured, his voice a low hum that blended with the soft jazz playing in the background. From the shadows behind the couch, a delicate hand trailed over his bare chest, fingers feather-light yet electric against his skin. The touch was unhurried, savoring every inch of hi
