Chapter 28: AWAKENING

The tentacled beast ate the meal it brought with it even though it was injured, it decided to consume it's last meal which is Vondrel.

The beast lifted Vondrel effortlessly and squeezed him with such force that the few remaining bones in his body cracked and shattered. Some splintered into his kidney, puncturing it, while others drove into his heart. His entire body was broken, and jagged bones pierced through his skin. Vondrel couldn't scream or groan; the agony was too overwhelming, paralyzing his senses.

All he could think about was the desperate wish for the plan to stop.

"Is this really how I am meant to die??' Vondrel wondered, his mind drifting through the haze of torment. 'Why is my life being cut short again and again?? My mother's smile, my siblings, my dad, my friends…..this is where it all ends.'

In the midst of his suffering, a faint smile crept across his face as these final thoughts passed through his mind.
