After Constantine cleared his thoughts, he quickly turned to Ruger and asked him.
"Is the doom world trying to devour earth and fuse with its origin?"
Without hesitation, Ruger answered, "Yes, that is indeed the case. I guess you got that answer from my memories, didn't you?"
"So it's true," Constantine ignored Ruger's last question as he mused. But he did not dwell on this discovery for a long before he started asking that troubled him the most.
"How exactly does this work? In what way is the doom world attempting to fuse with earth and how does it have anything to do with the nature of these dooms as elemental creatures that we were previously discussing?"
These three questions were what troubled Constantine the most. Although he understood from Ruger's memories the concept of origin devouring, Constantine didn't know the exact process of how it is carried out.
Constantine felt that as long as he could understand the process of the doom wo
"So you're saying it's a bad thing that the earth is changing so much so quickly?" Constantine asked Ruger for clarification. "That is the case," Ruger confirmed. "As I said, it takes time for the laws of another world to be fully assimilated, especially when said laws are completely opposite from each other and share no similarities whatsoever. This is the case between earth and the doom world." "The laws of earth and the doom world are completely opposite from each other with little to no similarities at all. I won't say anything about some of the more obscure and difficult to understand and comprehend laws. Let us take the simple laws, for example." "Using earth as an example, there are no laws that support supernatural and extraordinary powers or abilities. In other words, there is no transcendent system in place on earth and no laws that govern such a system. Because of this, such systems have not developed on earth and it is likely that they wou
"Earth and the dooms are both equally responsible for the speedy changes that are happening currently. The reason for this is that both play a vital part in the invasion of the otherworld." Ruger began his explanation."The relationship between planet earth and the doom world is that of defender and invader. The doom world is seeking to devour earth's origin and fuse with it to strengthen itself. Naturally, Earth will resist this invasion with all its might.""As I said before, the best way to invade and attempt to fuse with another world is for the invading world to pour its energy into the defending world and slowly influence and change the rules of the other world using its energy. As a defense mechanism, the world that is being invaded will attempt to expel this foreign energy so that it wouldn't affect it in any way. This is why the process is usually very slow.""Because the defending world tries to expel the foreign energy from itself, the invading world
After understanding the reason for the doom's constant invasion of earth and their relentless targeting of humans, Constantine no longer thought about it anymore. In any case, now that he was still in the doom world, he couldn't do anything about it at all.Besides, it's not like he had to care in any case. It didn't really matter to Constantine whether the dooms targeted humans or not, as long as his family was safe. He couldn't be expected to save humanity all by himself... that was the government's job.Probably the only thing Constantine could do was understand as much as he could about the invasion of the other world, and then he would see if there was a way for him to decimate this knowledge to the government and other humans on earth.Having come to this conclusion, Constantine addressed Ruger once more and asked, "I understand the role the dooms play in this invasion. So then tell me, how is Earth also responsible for what is happening so far?"Ru
In the vast desert landscape filled with fields of sprawling sands and high rising dunes, Constantine sat in deep contemplation. His mind was working fast to fully understand the things he had just learned from Ruger.Needless to say, earth's situation sounded grim when Ruger explained it in detail. From his words, there didn't seem to be any hope of earth winning against the otherworld. All the things it did were like the wailings of a drowning man who was in his final death throes... futile and damning.Feeling incredibly glum, Constantine asked Ruger doubtfully."Is there any hope for the Earth to survive this ordeal from the otherworld and are humans really going to be doomed to extinction?"It wasn't like Constantine was asking because he cared a whole deal for earth or the human race in general. Like most people, Constantine could barely care about the people he interacted with daily and he didn't concern himself very much with what went on in his n
"Why are you warning me of this?" Constantine asked Ruger doubtfully."Shouldn't you be more than happy to lead me around the nose so I could bump into one of those of your friends who could help you take over my body? I don't think you're generous enough to consider my well-being by warning me like this."Constantine was curious why Ruger would warn him about the dangers of relying solely on his memories to pave a way for himself and his family in the universe. From his understanding of Ruger, he wouldn't do anything unless it benefited him. Strictly speaking, the warning he gave to Constantine just now was unnecessary because it did not benefit Ruger in any way.In response to Constantine's question, Ruger asked, "Why do you think, genius?""It's obviously because I can't go out having people seeing me in this state. What would people think if they find out that I, Ruger Whitebrook, a once in an eon son of the firmament, was in a miserable state?"<
Was it worth it?To put his family's lives in danger by telling them the truth... was it really worth it?Constantine thought about it for a moment before he came to a conclusion.Whether it was worth it or not, was not up to Constantine to decide. No matter how things turned out, even if dangers really were going to come after them, then Constantine's family had the right to know exactly what they were likely to encounter.Constantine didn't want to make decisions for other people based on what he felt was right for them. He didn't want to be the sort of self-righteous guy who thought they were keeping others' best interests at heart when they were actually just being selfish. If there was a matter that involved another party, then Constantine preferred it if that party was actively involved in the said matter. He believed that a person was entitled to the right to make their own decisions in matters that affect them greatly no matter what the out
"As I said, the reason you can no longer increase your strength as fast as before is that you have reached the upper limit of your current strength. The best way to understand this is like this...""Take a bottle, for instance... imagine your body to be an empty bottle and your powers as the content that fills that bottle. The process of you growing stronger is actually you building a body that can perfectly contain the enormous amount of power that is contained inside you. Initially, your body is like an ordinary plastic bottle and your power is like acid or hot lave. Naturally, it is impossible for a plastic bottle to be able to contain acid or lava. That is why you need a stronger bottle, or in your case, you need to build a stronger body.""Are you following me?" Ruger paused his explanation and asked Constantine."Yeah, though my previous body being likened to a piece of plastic bottle is quite harsh but I am following nonetheless," Constantine replied.
Having learned what the true nature of constellation lightning from Ruger was, Constantine could definitely say for a fact that his body couldn't bear its full power at all. The only outcome of having so much stellar energy inside his body would be to have it crumble to ash. Finally, Constantine understood what Ruger was trying to tell him...When Ruger said that his power was enough for him to grow stronger, he literarily meant that the power contained in his body was only at the level of what he could currently endure without combusting into flames. With the constellation lightning power in him and having a body that had already adapted to it to the extent that it wouldn't be destroyed, all Constantine had to do was train his body to be able to grasp full control over his immense powers. This way, he would be able to reach the full potential of his current strength. This was in essence Constantine's limit to how much power his body could control. Once t
