7. Meet Alonso

"Hey kid!"

The familiar voice sent a chill down Aslan's spine, and sure enough, the new owner of the orphanage was waiting for him.

Aslan hadn't thought anything of it before when a teacher said someone was looking for him, waiting in the lobby. Aslan's school had a kind of lobby to receive guests.

At first, Aslan thought it was just the Messenger of the governor, who usually came to give books. The Messenger of the governor was very active in providing new quality books every month, which Aslan was very happy about, because he loved reading books.

But seeing the harsh reality he received made him break out in a cold sweat.

Why did that person come to the school at all? There was even a principal there. What was going on?

"Have a seat, Aslan!" The principal said, smiling his usual friendly smile, as did the owner of the orphanage, Alonso by name.

Alonso's friendly smile only gave Aslan goosebumps, it was terrifying.

"I'm just here to see how you're doing, Aslan said he's grown up and wants to live on his own, I told him not to go, but he insisted, it's good to see the boy is doing well."

Alonso's deceitful words only made Aslan want to vomit. He spoke so sweetly, when in reality Aslan had been beaten and kicked out of the orphanage. It was bad luck that Aslan's wounds had healed so quickly.

"Aslan is a smart kid, I think because he's 18 he wants to live independently, he's a good kid," said the principal, who didn't know anything.

"Well, I'm just worried, after all, I consider Aslan like my own son, can Aslan and I talk alone?"

"Oh sure, go ahead, I'll excuse myself" the principal smiled and patted Aslan's shoulder before leaving.

Aslan reached for the bottled mineral water on the table, took a quick sip, before glaring hatefully at Alonso.

"What are you doing here to harm me?"

Alonso looked at Aslan's changed appearance. The uniform and shoes looked new and nice.

"Looks like you're living comfortably in that dorm, huh? Are they nice to you? Well, I don't care either way. I just want you to leave and not report anything else that makes me bother, if you're still acting up, you know what I can do to your younger siblings at the orphanage, right?"

Aslan growled his displeasure at Alonso's words. Unfortunately, he didn't have enough power and evidence. Money yes, but proof?

"I won't say anything, as long as you don't do anything bad to them."

"Okay, deal! And also, don't say anything bad about me."

Aslan was silent, how could he not say anything bad? Everyone knew Alonso was a bad person, it was public knowledge.

"Fine," Aslan said at last.

"Where did you get your uniform and nice shoes? You didn't steal them, did you?" Alonso asked in a dismissive tone, making Aslan even more fed up.

"I'm not you, think of it as a favor, a lot of people are nice to me. Why, you want to take it away like you alway did? I'm weak, I can't fight you, but don't expect me to be like that forever."

Alonso laughed loudly at Aslan's words, "You're getting better at talking, aren't you? Whatever, let's act like we don't know each other."

"Fine, with pleasure."

After that, Alonso said goodbye to the principal, greeting the other teachers again. Ugh, so sickening.

He thought Aslan would continue to be weak and not fight back? Well, for now Aslan would just build up power and strength, and then fight back and destroy Alonso.

It would just take time.

Aslan had been in a terrible mood since meeting Alonso.

He even daydreams a lot, to the point of ignoring Debby who keeps calling him. Debby is a girl who has always been kind to Aslan, they have been friends since they entered high school.

Initially they became friends because they were both often bullied.

Aslan was bullied only because he was weak and an orphan, while Debby was bullied because of her fat body.

Even though Debby is beautiful, adorable and smart. Debby is actually the daughter of a rich man, maybe even richer than Jaden. Debby lives in a luxurious house in an elite neighborhood, a house worth 30 million dollars.

Even so, Debby is very kind and friendly, Aslan only found out about Debby a year ago. Because Debby is a simple child and doesn't like to show off.

After finding out that Debby was from the elite, the girls didn't stop bullying her, instead they harassed Debby even more. Saying that Debby should get plastic surgery, liposuction surgery, to make her more beautiful. Of course there was only Aslan who encouraged her.

Debby didn't want any surgery, because she herself was afraid of needles. Debby's parents loved their daughter very much, accepting Debby as she was.

"Aslan!"

Aslan only realized when Debby shook his body.

"Yes? What's wrong?"

Debby giggled, "You're daydreaming all the time, is there a problem? It's time to go home."

Aslan also paid attention to his surroundings, it turned out that many other children had already left the class.

"Sorry, I have a lot on my mind, let's go home too! Do you want to go for a walk first?" Asked Aslan, while cleaning up his stuff and putting it in his backpack.

"Going for a walk?" Debby asked with a flushed face.

"Yes, we're going for a walk, like a date."

Debby's face reddened even more, "I'm too ugly and fat for you -"

"What are you talking about? You're beautiful to me, come on!" Aslan pulled Debby's arm to follow him.

Aslan was just bored, he needed some entertainment.

"I'm going to the bookstore, buy some business books, I'm in the mood to study them, do you want to come? We'll take the bus or a taxi."

Of course Debby would, she would follow Aslan wherever he went.

But Debby's sweet smile had to fade when a group of girls from their class turned out not to have gone home yet, still chatting in front of the class.

"Uh, here comes the most compatible couple of the century!"

"It's not a good match, Debby is too ugly and fat for Aslan!"

"Yeah, Aslan is really handsome you know, even though he's poor, he's smart."

"That's right, not bad for fun."

"Hey Debby, look at your mirror first!"

"At least know yourself to be a girl!"

"If Debby wasn't rich, Aslan wouldn't have approached her, poor thing."

Aslan glanced annoyed at them, but they squealed in delight. No wonder, Aslan was handsome, even though he was poor. Once Aslan was even offered a lot of money just so he would sleep with them. Obviously Aslan refused, he was just poor, not without pride. Aslan didn't like being demeaned like that, even though he really needed the money.

"Debby, don't listen to them, okay?" Aslan said.

Debby just shut up and looked down, Aslan thought Debby

didn't care what the crazy women said, so he kept walking.
