"Hey kid!"
The familiar voice sent a chill down Aslan's spine, and sure enough, the new owner of the orphanage was waiting for him.
Aslan hadn't thought anything of it before when a teacher said someone was looking for him, waiting in the lobby. Aslan's school had a kind of lobby to receive guests.
At first, Aslan thought it was just the Messenger of the governor, who usually came to give books. The Messenger of the governor was very active in providing new quality books every month, which Aslan was very happy about, because he loved reading books.
But seeing the harsh reality he received made him break out in a cold sweat.
Why did that person come to the school at all? There was even a principal there. What was going on?
"Have a seat, Aslan!" The principal said, smiling his usual friendly smile, as did the owner of the orphanage, Alonso by name.
Alonso's friendly smile only gave Aslan goosebumps, it was terrifying.
"I'm just here to see how you're doing, Aslan said he's grown up and wants to live on his own, I told him not to go, but he insisted, it's good to see the boy is doing well."
Alonso's deceitful words only made Aslan want to vomit. He spoke so sweetly, when in reality Aslan had been beaten and kicked out of the orphanage. It was bad luck that Aslan's wounds had healed so quickly.
"Aslan is a smart kid, I think because he's 18 he wants to live independently, he's a good kid," said the principal, who didn't know anything.
"Well, I'm just worried, after all, I consider Aslan like my own son, can Aslan and I talk alone?"
"Oh sure, go ahead, I'll excuse myself" the principal smiled and patted Aslan's shoulder before leaving.
Aslan reached for the bottled mineral water on the table, took a quick sip, before glaring hatefully at Alonso.
"What are you doing here to harm me?"
Alonso looked at Aslan's changed appearance. The uniform and shoes looked new and nice.
"Looks like you're living comfortably in that dorm, huh? Are they nice to you? Well, I don't care either way. I just want you to leave and not report anything else that makes me bother, if you're still acting up, you know what I can do to your younger siblings at the orphanage, right?"
Aslan growled his displeasure at Alonso's words. Unfortunately, he didn't have enough power and evidence. Money yes, but proof?
"I won't say anything, as long as you don't do anything bad to them."
"Okay, deal! And also, don't say anything bad about me."
Aslan was silent, how could he not say anything bad? Everyone knew Alonso was a bad person, it was public knowledge.
"Fine," Aslan said at last.
"Where did you get your uniform and nice shoes? You didn't steal them, did you?" Alonso asked in a dismissive tone, making Aslan even more fed up.
"I'm not you, think of it as a favor, a lot of people are nice to me. Why, you want to take it away like you alway did? I'm weak, I can't fight you, but don't expect me to be like that forever."
Alonso laughed loudly at Aslan's words, "You're getting better at talking, aren't you? Whatever, let's act like we don't know each other."
"Fine, with pleasure."
After that, Alonso said goodbye to the principal, greeting the other teachers again. Ugh, so sickening.
He thought Aslan would continue to be weak and not fight back? Well, for now Aslan would just build up power and strength, and then fight back and destroy Alonso.
It would just take time.
Aslan had been in a terrible mood since meeting Alonso.
He even daydreams a lot, to the point of ignoring Debby who keeps calling him. Debby is a girl who has always been kind to Aslan, they have been friends since they entered high school.
Initially they became friends because they were both often bullied.
Aslan was bullied only because he was weak and an orphan, while Debby was bullied because of her fat body.
Even though Debby is beautiful, adorable and smart. Debby is actually the daughter of a rich man, maybe even richer than Jaden. Debby lives in a luxurious house in an elite neighborhood, a house worth 30 million dollars.
Even so, Debby is very kind and friendly, Aslan only found out about Debby a year ago. Because Debby is a simple child and doesn't like to show off.
After finding out that Debby was from the elite, the girls didn't stop bullying her, instead they harassed Debby even more. Saying that Debby should get plastic surgery, liposuction surgery, to make her more beautiful. Of course there was only Aslan who encouraged her.
Debby didn't want any surgery, because she herself was afraid of needles. Debby's parents loved their daughter very much, accepting Debby as she was.
"Aslan!"
Aslan only realized when Debby shook his body.
"Yes? What's wrong?"
Debby giggled, "You're daydreaming all the time, is there a problem? It's time to go home."
Aslan also paid attention to his surroundings, it turned out that many other children had already left the class.
"Sorry, I have a lot on my mind, let's go home too! Do you want to go for a walk first?" Asked Aslan, while cleaning up his stuff and putting it in his backpack.
"Going for a walk?" Debby asked with a flushed face.
"Yes, we're going for a walk, like a date."
Debby's face reddened even more, "I'm too ugly and fat for you -"
"What are you talking about? You're beautiful to me, come on!" Aslan pulled Debby's arm to follow him.
Aslan was just bored, he needed some entertainment.
"I'm going to the bookstore, buy some business books, I'm in the mood to study them, do you want to come? We'll take the bus or a taxi."
Of course Debby would, she would follow Aslan wherever he went.
But Debby's sweet smile had to fade when a group of girls from their class turned out not to have gone home yet, still chatting in front of the class.
"Uh, here comes the most compatible couple of the century!"
"It's not a good match, Debby is too ugly and fat for Aslan!"
"Yeah, Aslan is really handsome you know, even though he's poor, he's smart."
"That's right, not bad for fun."
"Hey Debby, look at your mirror first!"
"At least know yourself to be a girl!"
"If Debby wasn't rich, Aslan wouldn't have approached her, poor thing."
Aslan glanced annoyed at them, but they squealed in delight. No wonder, Aslan was handsome, even though he was poor. Once Aslan was even offered a lot of money just so he would sleep with them. Obviously Aslan refused, he was just poor, not without pride. Aslan didn't like being demeaned like that, even though he really needed the money.
"Debby, don't listen to them, okay?" Aslan said.
Debby just shut up and looked down, Aslan thought Debby
didn't care what the crazy women said, so he kept walking.
Aslan was wrong, Debby became more moody at the bookstore. The girl even bumped into someone because she wasn't focused. "I'm sorry," Debby said. "You use your eyes when you walk! Not only you already fat, you don't have eyes too!" The woman who Debby hit looked very angry, and her friend looked at Debby with an annoyed look too. Even though no one was injured from the incident, no items fell either, just a small nudge. "I apologize," Debby said again, like she was going to cry. So, Aslan left the book he wanted to look at, then approached Debby. "She apologized, why are you still angry?" Asked Aslan, he pulled Debby behind his body. "Are you her boyfriend? Tell your girlfriend not to stand carelessly, her body is big like a bulldozer, ignorance has its limits!" Said the friend of the woman who was hit by Debby. Both women looked like college students, they looked fashionable and wore the cheapest branded goods. The one Debby hit was a blonde, while her friend was a brunette. T
After two days, Aslan had to swallow his disappointment when he found out that Debby was still absent from school.During those two days, Aslan exercised regularly to increase his body strength. There was Devon who was happy to help him. Devon was very strong, he taught Aslan to fight, always accompanied Aslan to exercise in the morning too.In addition, Aslan had also discussed with Devon and David, what business they would do. Since David's uncle owned a chicken farm, and one of David's uncle's regular restaurants was going bankrupt, they decided to open a cafe with chicken as the main menu.Aslan did it all for his own future and to build his own strength. It's useless to have a system if you don't use it. Aslan had to open his own business. If it fails, he can start again from the beginning, because he has a lot of capital.Aslan also tries to buy shares in new companies that he thinks will improve rapidly in the future. For daily check-in, for two days Aslan was rewarded with a s
"Is that security guard really going to get fired?" That was the question Aslan asked as soon as he arrived at the Harland family mansion. The house was one of the most luxurious among the others. The view of the beach from the top floor was also very beautiful. White sand, coconut trees, beach waves, and the evening sky.Aslan was invited to sit in a room on the second floor, you could say it was a place close to the balcony, and the balcony itself was open. From where he sat, Aslan could see the beach. There were many sofas and chairs there, and a big screen television like a movie theater. Aslan tried hard not to look like a dork in that house.Debby always said she didn't deserve him, but when he arrived at Debby's house, it was Aslan who felt inadequate. Aslan's wealth was still nothing compared to the Harland family."Don't worry, he'll be fired, we don't like unprofessional people like that, let him be our business, you can drink the tea first, I'l
Aslan and Debby were more awkward than ever, that's because Debby's mom, Hannah, came over and asked why the two teenagers' faces were red.Aslan was at a loss for an answer, luckily the courier who had brought the apples for Debby had arrived. So Aslan and Hannah went down to check on the apples, while Debby showered and got ready."Are all these apples for Debby?" Hannah asked."Yeah, let Debby eat these apples at breakfast or when she wants a snack. They'll help her get fuller, they're also more nutritious than other fruits. You can also try it if you're curious."Hannah was intrigued by the apple, as its color was rather unique. It was pink with a reddish tinge, it was also bigger than a normal apple, and it gave off a tantalizing aroma."I'll try one.""Go ahead."Hannah took one apple and put the other away. After washing it, she cut the apple and ate it. Aslan watched, afraid that Hannah wouldn't like it, because according to Aslan, who had tried it first, it was sweeter and ju
Aslan never thought before, if his dorm mates were very famous. Previously Aslan didn't really know Kevin, because Kevin himself was quite mysterious. Kevin was the type of student who was diligent, his only job was to study and prioritize grades, because he also received a scholarship.Aslan used to think Kevin was quite greedy, because he was already rich, but also very ambitious with scholarships. However, Aslan's thinking has now changed. Because the reality was that not only did Kevin have a rich family, a smart brain, but he was also very popular on social media.By that time they had already had dinner, with Aslan's fried rice, seafood fried rice because Jaden gave them shrimp and squid. After dinner, they discussed again the promotion that Kevin had said.First of all, Kevin asks for all the products that will be sold. So Aslan goes back to his room, to decide what he will sell.Beauty products such as soap, body lotion, shampoo and various other skincare can be sold freely as
Since there were only eight people in the dorm plus Jaden so there were nine, there was still a lot left over, so Aslan shared it with the people he met. Like the man sweeping the streets, the elderly neighbors and of course Johnny and his wife."You don't have to bother buying food, what if you run out of money?" said Rina, Johnny's wife."I'm fine, I'm helping an old vendor," Aslan replied."Okay, this is for you, share it with others too," Rina handed Aslan the crackers, many of which were in a large container.Even though Aslan was struggling to carry the groceries and the container of crackers, he thanked her and returned to the dormitory. Some people had already woken up, so Aslan quickly distributed the food to them. After returning to the living room, only David was awake, already facing his laptop."David, what are you doing? Let's eat first," Aslan approached David to see what his friend was doing and handed him the packet of food."Oh, I was just checking the market place a
"Aslan!"Aslan heard a voice that was so familiar to him, several small children came running up to Aslan. They were children from the orphanage, of course they recognized Aslan as their older brother. Since the orphanage and the town square were quite close, the orphanage children often went there on holidays. That was also why Aslan went to the town square. The orphanage children used to go without an adult, and Aslan used to take them, but now he didn't live there anymore. Seeing those children looking shabby in makeshift clothes made Aslan's heart ache. Not to mention the hurtful looks the people around there gave to them."Are you guys all right?" Aslan asked."We're fine!" One of them replied.Aslan knew that even if something bad happened to them, they would still say they were fine."No, tell me the truth, is it really okay at the orphanage? What about Aunt Linda?" Aslan asked. The children now looked worried, and one of them said, "Aunt Linda is fine, but she cries a lot now,
It was a fun day out with the kids. Aslan took them to the playground, played the claw machine and got lots of cute dolls, and they also went to a restaurant that served a variety of local food. The restaurant had a nice and beautiful place, it was cool and had lots of trees. The food was also delicious. Aslan ordered whatever the children asked for, such as grilled chicken, fried chicken, grilled fish and others.Seeing the children happy made Aslan also happy, especially now that he didn't have to worry about money anymore. Back when he was at the orphanage, when Aslan wanted to buy anything, it would be very difficult. Alonso wouldn't let Aslan have a penny even if he earned it with his own hand."Can we eat like this every day?" Asked one of the girls who was eating fried chicken."I don't think so if you're still at the orphanage, you know Alonso won't let you see me, if he knew you were with me he'd be angry."Aslan's words made their faces sad again, they were already happy to
Blossom cafe is a hot spot in Amrak and the surrounding towns, especially for girls. Because the blossom cafe is full of pastel colors, it is very pretty and also cute. The food and drinks sold there are also very pretty and cute. Maki really wanted to go there because the owner was hid high school friend who used to be very nice to him. One of the high school friends who usually confided in Maki about love problems, and the friend was a girl.Maki couldn't wait to go, but Aslan was taking forever. So when his cousin finally finished and went downstairs with David, Maki was already looking at him with an annoyed look."You guys are taking so long, I'm getting soiled here!" Maki said, and the funny thing was that two of them were also wearing moss green clothes.Aslan chuckled at Maki's words, "So you've turned into moss, is that it? No wonder it's so green." David said."I want to meet my friend, she's waiting for me at the cafe, let's hurry!" urged Maki."Gosh, take it easy Maki, th
Aslan didn't expect at all, if the little boy Dave met at Disneyland and also at the cemetery was the same boy Aslan wanted to meet. That is Arga.Aslan becomes curious, did Arga previously go to Lydia's grave? Because the flowers on Lydia's grave are very pretty and expensive, so it's perfect if it was Arga who visited the grave. But, Arga said that it was her mother's grave, while Alonso's ex-wife was still alive, even though she was currently in a relationship with another man. Aslan found out from Sam's words.Ben himself just found out that Sam has something to do with the family. They met and had lunch together. At that time, the big bodyguard guarding Arga was not there, because Arga was with Sam, so they waited outside the building.Arga looked very happy to meet Dave, they both talked and looked very familiar. Aslan didn't want to interrupt their conversation. So, Aslan talks to Sam to ask about Cempaka's family.Sam said that Alonso's ex-wife was the middle child of the fami
"But that's weird, Aslan. He's an adult, why is he still afraid of commitment? He's already a decent father, there's nothing to be afraid of."Aslan chuckled at Maki's words, it turned out that his cousin had accepted his father, even now he was starting to worry about his father."So he can be a good father?" Aslan asked."Well, not bad at all. So I want him to remarry and have a family of his own.""But if so, your inheritance from him will be less.""Hahaha, no problem Aslan, I don't want to be with my father for the rest of my life anyway, I mean, I'll have my own family later.""With Safira?""Ugh, stop talking about that!"Aslan was still laughing because Maki's expression was so funny, he looked annoyed but also shy, he also looked a little happy.Aslan was sure that Maki must have felt a certain fondness after being with Safira for so long. Now Safira could be free in Saranja and pursue a career as a singer as she wanted. Safira was also back with her mother, who was now Safir
"Did you have fun playing all day?"Dave, who was exhausted from playing at Disneyland, was surprised by Aslan's presence in his room.Dave walked over to Aslan, he was surprised to see Aslan smiling happily and looking strange."Why are you here?" Dave asked."Listen, do you want to make new friends?" Dave frowned, "I don't want to.""Oh, come on Dave!""I'm tired of two friends like Sion and Anton, especially Sion. And you want to give me another friend? That's absurd!"Aslan chuckled lazily, Dave was an introvert, his energy could be drained around an extrovert like Sion.Aslan didn't know what type of person Arga was, but Aslan wanted to bring Dave closer to Arga. If this is the case, maybe Aslan should approach Arga first. It's impossible to keep a secret forever, surely it will be revealed later if Arga is indeed the son of Lydia who was exchanged. And if that was proven later, Aslan wanted to protect the child, no matter who the father was, because the most important thing was
Sam found it strange that Aslan was suddenly silent while staring at his body, after realizing what Aslan was looking at, he asked."Do you feel sorry for me after seeing my body covered in scars like this? I don't like being pitied." Sam asked.Aslan shook his head, then he handed Sam something. It was a silver bathbomb, which was not much different from the gold one, except that if the gold bathbomb could brighten dull skin, the silver bathbomb could remove scars or even out skin tone. The silver one was slightly cheaper than the gold one, costing 400 silver coins."What is this? Soap?" Sam asked confused."You're so pretty, you're an idol, and I guess you don't like all those scars yourself, do you? So take a shower and then soak in that bathbomb. It's free." Aslan said.Sam was still staring at it with a confused look on his face."What do my wounds have to do with this bathbomb?" Sam asked, he really didn't understand what Aslan meant, but he had a point. Sam hated his body for b
"Since we didn't want to wait for you for a long time, we better stop by here, after all, according to the manager, you were with Aslan, so I knew you guys would definitely stop by this house." Sam said to Ben's previous question, which Ben couldn't believe at all."Liar, he had planned to go here even before knowing that Ben was with Aslan, even the manager questioned Ben because of Sam's orders—mmhh!" Rama who was divulging Sam's secret was immediately smothered by Sam."Hahaha, don't listen to Rama! Aslan, thank goodness you're okay, I was also scolded by my manager the night of your accident." Sam let go of Rama and walked over to Aslan, checking him from top to bottom and there was nothing wrong with him."That's because you ate a lot of seafood, you didn't say anything about preparing the album, I'm fine." Aslan said, then he invited the others to enter."Are you two the only ones here?" Aslan asked, once they were inside the house.Rama and Ben couldn't stop marveling at the ho
Not far from the orphanage there is a small forest, actually it is just a vacant lot that was left abandoned. There were some big trees, bushes and various plants. Behind the small forest was a river, the same river as the one behind the orphanage. The small forest was a hiding place for the orphanage children during the day, as well as a place where the boys liked to play. For example, climbing trees, bathing in the very clear river, and so on. Because girls were very afraid to go to the forest. So Aslan also liked to go there, usually Aslan would climb the biggest tree, then read a book there, or watch other children playing.Of course, Aslan and Ben often played there with the others, sometimes just the two of them.Aslan didn't understand why Ben asked him to go to that place, but after he got there, Aslan became nostalgic for his past.It was so much fun back then. The tree that Aslan used to climb so often, now it doesn't look as big as he thought it was, maybe Aslan grew up so
"It's so spicy." Lucas snatched the complimentary glass of lemon water provided at their table after taking two bites of the black lava burger.Aslan glanced at Lucas and chuckled, pleased with Lucas' spicy reaction."I thought with that face you were supposed to be resistant to anything spicy," Aslan said.Lucas gave Aslan an annoyed look as he managed to gulp down the entire glass, "since when do faces and spice resistance have anything to do with each other?"Aslan squared his shoulders, "well, usually there is a connection, like Marlo for example, how does a face like that fit if he can't stand spicy?"Lucas chuckled, "So you think my face is Marlo's type?"Aslan laughed with satisfaction at Lucas' annoyance."Turns out I'm just as scary as Marlo, huh?" Lucas asked.Aslan nodded happily, "yes!"Lucas ruffled Aslan's hair again, "You little..."Aslan, who didn't care if his hair was messed up, went back to eating his burger. For Aslan, the burger was spicy, but not too spicy. It se
There was something strange about Aslan, and it was very obvious, at least to Lucas, he could see it very clearly. However, what was even stranger was that the people around Aslan thought it was perfectly normal.Aslan was clearly something out of the ordinary. Lucas could see that from the start. Because who else could own a large, luxurious mansion in an elite neighborhood when they were just starting out business? Lucas thought only Aslan could do that, and their father, Jeffrey Kendrik.Perhaps only Lucas could feel that way. Little Lucas also remembers his father, and he's heard many things about him from Hendry's father.Jeffrey Kendrik, or Jeff was the middle child in the family, his older sister Regina hated him for no reason. Then his own father favored his youngest son, Damian Kendrik. There was a time when Jeff was blamed for Damian getting hurt, his father was so angry that he kicked him out. Even though it was only his father's momentary anger and Jeff knew it, Jeff still
