Chapter 9 - A Real Test!

This was indeed Rebecca's voice.

But it sounded different than before.

When Jack turned his head up, he saw that the woman had changed her clothes.

Except for the towel that covered her chest to just below her hips, the girl had no other clothing on her body.

"What am I seeing here? Is she teasing me on purpose?"

At that moment, Jack couldn't take his eyes off the girl.

With such an appearance, Rebecca not only looked very beautiful, but she was also very tempting!

Especially at her current age, she exuded a mature beauty that would be hard for any man to resist.

"Jack, come here!" Rebecca asked for the second time.

She said this while placing one hand on the railing and leaning her face forward, showing off her sexy chest.

She also moved the index finger of her left hand slowly and sensually in an inviting gesture.

"Come here! Don't make me wait!"

Gulp!

Jack swallowed his saliva.

He was not used to situations like this.

Although he was born into one of the wealthiest families in Riverchester, Jack didn't like spending time in entertainment places, let alone playing with girls.

That didn't mean that Jack had never seen beautiful women.

It was just that Rebecca's beauty and charm were truly extraordinary!

He slowly got up from his chair without taking his eyes off the girl, then walked towards the stairs that Rebecca had passed earlier.

He would have almost stepped on the first step if he hadn't looked at the clock on the wall in front of him.

"What? Seven fifty?" he exclaimed.

Before Jack left, Matilda reminded him several times that Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds were very time sensitive.

"You have to be there fifteen minutes before they leave! I don't want you to be late, or they'll take their daughter and they'll think I refused their request!" Matilda said with a straight face.

"Don't worry, Mom! I'll be there on time."

Jack was a very disciplined young man.

Arriving at work on time was something he always did.

"I have to get out of this house right now!"

Jack looked back at Rebecca, who was still giving him a very seductive look.

But this time he only lowered his head slightly.

"Forgive me for intruding into your house, Miss! I will leave now!"

Having said that, Jack hurriedly stepped out of the house.

"Jack!"

"Jack!"

Rebecca kept calling him.

"What are you thinking? Where are you going? Hurry, get up here!"

But as if he did not hear Rebecca's continuous calls, Jack walked to the door and left without looking back.

After seeing Jack's back disappear after going through the door, Rebecca frowned.

The angry expression she had shown at Jack ignoring her calls suddenly vanished from her face without a trace.

"Is this true? Is he acting like he doesn't want me?"

Murmuring, Rebecca pulled out an object she had hidden behind the towel on her back.

It was a Taser, the latest model, a device resembling a pistol that could fire electric pellets up to twenty meters away, capable of instantly incapacitating its target.

"Not bad! Luckily, he didn't step on the first step! Otherwise, I would have shot him unconscious and thrown his body in front of my father!"

Rebecca then removed the towel wrapped around her, revealing her very sexy and proportionate body in a black bra and black underwear contrasting with her white and smooth skin.

She then entered her room with graceful and captivating strides.

She went to a large wardrobe that was taller than she was, took out an oversized t-shirt and denim shorts, and put them on lazily.

Then she threw herself onto the bed.

Looking up at the ceiling of her room for a moment, the happy and cunning expression that adorned her face before now changed to a slightly gloomy expression.

"Will he never stop approaching me?" she muttered as she reached for an envelope from a beautiful red velvet fabric on the edge of her bed.

Just minutes before Jack snuck into her house, Rebecca had prepared to leave for work.

But before she got into her car, she saw a black security car parked right in front of her gate.

Next to the car, four tall and burly men, dressed in black formal suits, were standing and waiting for her, just so that they could hand her this invitation in person.

From their presence, Rebecca knew who had sent them to her home.

It was someone very special in this city.

Rebecca continued to stare at the envelope without opening it.

She could already guess what was inside.

"Do I really have to go this time?" she mumbled again, her face looking more wrinkled between sadness, lack of enthusiasm and reluctance.

"But if not, what other reason can I give?"

Rebecca kept thinking, trying to find some reason she could use so that she wouldn't have to attend the event.

But she couldn't find one.

Feeling tired, she tried to close her eyes, hoping that she could forget what had just happened, that she had never received this invitation.

But no matter how she tried to forget, the image always haunted her mind.

"Rrrrrgh! This is so annoying!"

Before that date came, she had to find a way!
