Chapter Five

"What!" Benson was stunned and was boiling up in anger. He couldn't believe Rosemary.

"I borrowed one million dollars to save you!" Benson yelled at Rosemary.

He was already annoyed and wasn't happy with the situation as he faced them both.

"I know, but did I ask you to do so?" Rosemary said.

Benson wasn't sure that Rosemary said what she said but all he wished was that he could wake up from this nightmare.

He wasn't happy at all and felt very sad with the words that came out of Rosemary's mouth.

"I didn't ask you to pay the sum of one million dollars," Rosemary said indifferently.

Rosemary didn't care how Benson would feel when she said those words.

Rosemary knew that she was just being selfish and thinking about moving on with her life.

Benson's felt heartbroken upon hearing such words from Rosemary.

"How could you after everything that had happened," Benson said almost crying.

"I told you before, I never asked you to pay the sum," Rosemary said. "Yes, that's because I went further to pay the sum,"

Benson remembered that while Rosemary was blaming him, he needed to find a solution fast.

Benson remembered that he had no other choice but to look for the money and he did so.

"So you expect me to have left you in that situation you were in and refuse to pay your bill right?" Benson said.

Benson's eyes were red with rage and disappointment. All he wanted to do was to share the good news.

Benson knew that Rosemary would have been happy if she knew that he had finally gotten a new job.

He felt so bad that all this was happening and wished that wasn't the case.

"Yes, you heard me right, you should have left me because I never told you to pay any money," Rosemary blurted out.

Rosemary was still in the arms of Samuel who cuddled her.

"Come on man what's there in one million dollars," Samuel said laughing hard.

"And what are you talking about?" Benson inquired infuriated.

"I mean, come on, one million dollars is a chicken change, it's small money," Samuel added.

"One million dollars is a small amount of money, and it saved Rosemary's life," Benson muttered to himself.

Samuel had already released Rosemary's grip so that he could emphasize more with his hands.

Samuel was ready to provoke Benson further as he continued with his mockery.

"I mean, It simply means that you are a loser since you couldn't afford to pay the sum," Samuel said.

"Hahahahaha," Samuel laughed hardly has he tried to demonstrate through dancing.

"Loser!! You couldn't get the girl because you are a loser!" Samuel said as he danced to mock Benson.

"So Benson, as I said earlier it's over between me and you," Rosemary said and signalled to Samuel.

"Let's just leave here and go for our date please," Rosemary said as she tucked her sense beneath Samuel's own.

"Sure," Samuel said still laughing hard and dancing as he mocked Benson.

Benson felt embarrassed as he watched Samuel lead, Rosemary, into his black SUV and they both drove off.

Benson sat on the floor exactly where he stood when Rosemary left him.

He didn't know when he did and was unconscious of the fact that he was sitting on the bare ground He felt so miserable and didn't know what he did wrong. Benson wondered where he would start from.

"Ooh my goodness! What do I do now?" Benson muttered to himself.

"After everything that had happened, I mean I didn't do anything wrong, all I did was take a loan for her treatment,"

Benson was speaking to himself in a melancholic mood.

"I snapped when she fainted and when the doctor finally told me the sum, I didn't think straight," Benson muttered.

Benson knew that he has no other choice but to borrow the money from both the bank and the mafia gang

Benson received a call and checked to see who was calling.

"Ohh gosh!!!" Benson blurted out immediately after he saw that it was calm from the bank.

"Now what in the world am I going to tell them," Benson said contemplating picking up the call.

Benson knew that it would be wise to pick up the call that least hear what the bank would say.

"Well, here goes nothing," Benson said as he finally pickeup d the call.

Behold it was the Accountant's voice he heard from the bank he took parinof the loan from.

"Is this Benson Woods," The man said. Benson could note how angry the accountant was

"Yes," Benson managed to speak. "You mad man! Why haven't you paid back our loan," The accountant yell?d.

"Am sorry, but I don't have the money, if I had it I would have paid it" Benson pleaded.

"Well, since you mortgage your house, your house would be seized I'm three days if you refuse to pay tomorrow,"

Benson felt a hammes hit on his heaasas he couldn't believe that the only inheritance would be seized from him.

He just had one more day and ithere are's days the house would be seized by the bank.

Benson knew that it was a possibility since he mortgaged his house and he knew that he had to pay the money.

Benson broke down, hl remained on the floor where he sat and thought about everything.
