When they finally break the news to Christian, his face first screws with distrust and he bursts into wicked laughter.

"You are trying to tell me that you are the grandson that everyone thinks is dead? That you, Angus, are the one I have been busting my ass around, looking for?"

Angus blows out a sigh from his mouth. What he doesn't have is the patience to try to convince this man otherwise.

"Christian, he is telling the truth." Joanna urges him. "Why do you think that I got with you? It was to distract you from even coming close to the truth."

Christian shakes his head even before she is done talking.

He doesn't want to believe it, he doesn't want it, but someone, in the back of his head, knows that it's the truth.

Joanna sees him trying to process it and she comes closer to him, but he shoots her a glare.

"Don't even think of coming close to me. I gave you a fucking chance and this is what you do to me?!" He barks at her. "I fucking liked you! I liked you, Joanna!"
