Chapter 183

Danvers sat alot in his office staring at the prices of evidence the lawyer threw to the bin and judged everything in Raven's favor, recording and chats with his associates. The more Danvers thought of it, the more he realized how pathetic the economy they lived in had become.

He leaned back in his chair, with his eyes narrowed on one of the pieces of evidence he had in his hand. He knew there was something wrong and he needed to figure it out so everything would fall in place.

Shortly after, there was a knock on the door distracting him from what he was trying to figure out.

“Who is it?” he asked, keeping his voice steady.

“Marshall,” Marshall replied with his response barely above a whisper. “It’s me, Danvers, let me in.”

He hesitated for a second because he wanted to be alone and think. But Marshall was his lawyer, and on his side besides he also had the necessary guidance he needed at the moment.

After thinking for a while whether yo let him in or not, he went towards the door
