Chapter Eighty-six

Ben was still shocked from what happened at the lobby. While he waited outside of the building his mind could not forget the incident that happened at the lobby that afternoon. As Ben thought about it, he could remember the look of happiness on Mr. Victor's face when Ben brought out the wallet from his pocket.

"Mr. Ben! Do you remember what I told you in my office earlier today? I told you that my eyes are on you and that if you make any mistake, no matter how little it may be, intentional or unintentional, I will be there to make sure you pay for it." Ben was recalling what Mr. Victor said to him at the lobby.

Mr. Victor told him to go home and that the matter will be settled by the disciplinary panel the next day. As Ben sat on the pavement, he began to wonder how the wallet got into his pocket. He was not a thief. He had never stolen in his life. The only time Ben tried to steal, it was unsuccessful and that was because poverty drove him to do it because of his sick sister.
