Chapter 32

Benjamin held his crying grandmother while glaring at the diminishing crowd in the distance. “Take us to our new home.”

Anthony sat up straight at this, glad that they wouldn't be remaining in this lower district any longer. He happily got back on the roads leading to the higher districts. As time went by, the road got more perfectly started with lower traffic.

“Grandma, are you okay now?” Benjamin had waited until he heard no more snuffling from his old woman.

“I'm fine, my dear.” Theresa nodded her head while she was lying it over Benjamin’s shoulder. “Now, I'm just deeply disappointed in them.” She was referring to the tenants now planning to run her and her grandson down.

Benjamin kept running a soothing hand down his grandmother's arm. “Don't worry, I'll handle them, especially that greedy rat.” He was referring to the landlord, of course.

As time went on, the road got more scarce of other cars. As for those cars that were spotted on this road, they looked expensive.
