"Why are you here, officers?" Bianca inquired, a mix of fear and curiosity evident in her voice. Deep down, she had an inkling that the matter concerned her son, and it didn't bode well.

The two male officers bowed slightly in apology as they began to explain, "We apologize, Mr. Danforth, but we received a tip, and it's our duty to follow up on such leads—"

Curiosity piqued, Leon interjected, "What tip are you referring to?"

One of the officers disclosed their motive with a solemn expression, "Drug-related activities. We received information indicating that your son, Edwin Cooper, is potentially involved in drug trafficking. We are here to search his belongings for any evidence."

Edwin's mouth dropped open in sheer shock, and he glanced at his mother, who wore an equally perplexed expression. At that moment, both mother and son were utterly bewildered by these allegations.

Leon, frowning in disbelief, asked, "And you have a search warrant to conduct such a search?"
