Eighty five

The following morning, Travis sat rigidly on the dining chairs, his anger showing no signs of subsiding. He glared at the photographs spread out on the table in front of him. Deciding he no longer needed Isabella’s presence, he had instructed her to leave. Now, it was just him and his daughter, who had fallen asleep in her room.

He couldn't sleep. His mind was consumed by the images in those photographs. Anger pulsed through his entire being as he impatiently waited for Joanna to walk through that door.

How could she do this? How could she cheat on him? Travis believed she was capable of better than this. If she held any resentment towards him, there were far more reasonable ways to express it than this painful betrayal.

His hands clenched tight on the table as he fought hard to contain his seething anger. His breathing came in harsh, uneven gasps, and his eyes burned red.
