Hateful Gaze

Calvin fell silent for a moment remembering what he did before, maybe it was because of a spell he cast that he was now trapped in that world.

"You mean you've cast a spell and you were sent here?" asked Rex slowly digesting what Calvin said.

"Ah no! How about this? If this is real, how about my school?? Wait a minute, when I'm here I no longer need to go to that annoying school, I no longer need to catch up on assignments, I no longer need to listen to boring teachers in front of the class. This seems interesting," said Calvin with a slightly cheerful face.

Rex and Livy are increasingly amazed by Calvin's sudden change, he who was depressed has now returned to normal.

"He seems stupid," Rex said a little whispered to Livy.

"I thought so too," Livy said.

"Okay Calvin, looks like you're feeling better now. I'll make food for you, you can stay in this place because I'm sure you don't have anywhere else to live,” Rex said as he walked away leaving Calvin.

Calvin just nodded his head, he looked at his own clothes and realized that he was still wearing his school uniform. Livy who saw that immediately knew what Calvin meant.

"There are some clothes you can wear, if you want to take a shower there is a bathroom at the back there," said Livy while showing the bathroom in the castle.

Reluctantly enough, Calvin stood up and headed for the bathroom. He already felt that his body was not feeling well, especially from the previous battle. Meanwhile, Livy prepares clothes for Calvin.

That night was Calvin's first trip to a different world, he had just realized that he wasn't dreaming. However, due to strong reasons regarding school problems, he finally decided to stay in that world.

Livy also prepares a room for Calvin, one of the rooms that is no longer used by other members because now there are only the two of them and now Calvin is adding it.

The next morning Calvin woke up, his eyes searching the clock on the wall. He quickly stood up and remembered that he had to go to school, but again Calvin remembered that he was in a different world.

“Damn I forgot, now I no longer need to go to school. It's like a dream," Calvin muttered.

Calvin walked out of his room, he was curious to know what time it was. His eyes kept looking for the wall clock but could not find any clock there. He only found an old castle with many paintings hanging on the walls. In the living room Calvin didn't find anyone there, Rex and Livy weren't there at all, Calvin finally decided to go out to the front yard.

"How was your sleep? You seem to really enjoy it," asked Rex who saw that Calvin had just come out.

"I don't know, what time is it?" he asked.

"O'clock? What's that."

Calvin was silent and didn't respond to Rex's questions, he just thought that in this world there are no clocks. Calvin's eyes fixed on Rex and Livy who were doing the preparations.

“We decided to go to town, there was already a newspaper saying that the Blue Whale and Dark Wolf guilds no longer existed and would be removed from this kingdom's guild list. We went there to tell you that the Dark Wolf guild still exists," Livy said explaining her current situation.

"Will you come along?" he asked.

Calvin thought a little, in this world there are still kingdoms like the history he studied at school. However, because he himself did not know what to do, Calvin decided to go with Rex and Livy to the city.

The three of them started to travel towards the city, the distance traveled this time was quite far. They headed for one of the modern villages outside the city area.

Arriving at the village, Calvin was quite surprised because he saw a modern village that was quite busy, almost all the residents there were busy. Many of them looked like knights with swords they carried. Calvin's view is always amazed by the atmosphere in the village, not like a modern village in general because all the buildings there look classic.

"We'll use the connecting portal to the city, since there's no way we can walk to get there," Rex said as he continued walking.

“Portal? You mean we'll be in town in no time?” he asked.

"Yeah in seconds the portal will send us to the city, that's the fastest way."

Calvin was silent again and thought how great this world was, he imagined entering the world of anime that he often watched before, moreover it turned out that he had some kind of power. It really made Calvin a little confused at first, but after experiencing a lot of things overnight it made him forced to believe.

The three of them had arrived in front of the portal, its shape was like an ordinary stone monument, but the lower part was not shining brightly because it was daytime. Calvin followed Rex and Livy's steps to stand near the portal.

“This portal can only be used by guild members, so ordinary citizens can't use it.”

"Then what about me?"

"Don't worry, if you are with us you can also use it."

Rex said several spells, suddenly the light that emerged from under the rock grew brighter to make it dazzle. Calvin slightly closed his eyes, when he started to open his eyes in an instant the surroundings had changed. A fairly large city, the buildings here still look classic but are much bigger and more luxurious than the previous village. the population density is much more than the previous village.

“Wow! Really like in the anime,” said Calvin with a big smile.

Rex and Livy seemed to act as usual, their faces looked colder and more serious. I don't know why since entering the city they have become like that. Calvin casually continued walking after the two of them.

For some reason when they were walking, Calvin felt strange stares from the people around him. Not just one or two people, but everyone who saw us stared hatefully. Some people were seen immediately whispering when they saw our arrival in the city.

"I feel there is something strange about their gazes," said Calvin while looking around.

“Ignore it, carry on as usual.”

Calvin was silent with Rex's words, he didn't find any answer from Rex's words. They continued walking as usual towards one of the biggest buildings in the city. A castle that was very striking and looked so majestic, several guards seemed to be standing at the entrance.
