Hey... youre still here?
Lekan growled, baring out his teeth now. His heart went hickey hop at the sound of the weeping and the terrified Blessing who was still under him. He frowned deeper now, taking into account the people who were all about him. For one, he knew that this was not an intended incident. It had just happened, at least from the conversation with the police which the gunmen had. They just happened to come along and had decided to use the school as hostage in securing a getaway ticket. Still, he was livid. Why Would anyone want to use a school like this? What had they done? Why would they want to think that a school like this would make for a good hostage point. Lekan could feel a guttural growl rising in his throat now. Strangely, the growl in his throat felt like it had always been a part of him. It gave him confused emotions since he could not remember how he had felt like this. For this to be somewhat familiar with him. Still, he dismissed the thought, he couldn't let himself be d
The last feeling that shot through Lekan was the sense of achievement Even as he felt the hardness of the ground ricochet against his body, a serene feeling of calm and oneness overtook his whole body. It cheated the pain from taking any effecting him. He was happy, a smile on his mental self. He had been able to protect the one who he knew. Or at least, the one who he had come to know and hold fast to. That is, Blessing. It was an achievement. After surviving the crash, he knew deep within his heart that if he had the power to stop what happened, to make the hands of the clock reverse, he would do that. But sadly, he didn't have that power. And on top of that, he had felt useless. But not today. Today, he did not have to wait for some Uncle Desmond to appear to take care of his life and stuff. This time, he actually had a say in what happened in his life. It Was worth celebrating. The triumph and the excitement it built in him, even the pain that ate at him was totally ignored.
The sound of sirens rent the air as the policemen at the scene went into action. There was only one of them left. The other gunman had shot his partner. Though, this was a result of the youth who had stepped up to the case. He looked young, vibrant with strange fire in his eyes. But the police did not worry about him now. They had ruled it as a freak case, a case of adrenaline starting up in the young lad. It was something that happened once in a blue moon, not something they had to be worried over. While they called an ambulance for him, they moved in to swiftly capture the remaining gunman. ___ Series of sirens rang out in a short while.Just as the police packed up, there was a vehicle in sight. A toll truck. The driver at the wheel swung into action immediately, with the help of the people around, he swiftly began to toll the truck away from the remaining wreckage of the wall. Inside the school, the ambulance officers rushed through, racing to the one person who was
[The Blood Domination System is fully Operational. Do you want to view your system stats now?} Curiously, Lekan said yes. And as he did, the cursor began to backspace, deleting all of the words which were on the screen. And as this happened, Lekan’s eyes widened, curiosity oozing out from every inch of him. In a short time, the cursor on the screen moved to the right hand side. Just as it did the previous time, words began to form. As if they were being typed out. However, the process of this was rather fast as it did not take him long enough to decipher what was being typed. [Scanning For Type; Scan Failed] [Scanning for Element: Scan success] [Scanning Mana traces… Scanning…. Mana unavailable.] [Scanning Skills; Skills Unavailable] The words were clear, it made Lekan scratch the back of his head in confusion.this looked like something from out of a sci fi novel but here and now, ehw as seeing it. Was this the reason why he had wanted to make sure that Blessing did not get
Standing in the space where he was, Lekan could only marvel in astonishment. This was like something out of the comic books or the typical fantasy novel. Yet, he was experiencing all of this. He had many questions to ask. Many questions that definitely needed to be answered by the system or stuff. But first, the paramount one that kept on lingering in the back of his mind was the constant mention of this System bureau. What was the system bureau and what was it that they did at this place? Was that some sort of top-secret organization or what exactly was their aim and how come nobody had heard of them if it was them that did make systems like this? The whole issue was a puzzle to him, one that he clearly needed to find answers to. And right now, the only one thing which could give him the answer he needed was the system. Although the system had gone on full mode hostility then, he did not have any other alternatives. He had to endure whatever harsh tongue the system words would be to
Shocked by the sudden appearance of the silhouette once more, Lekan took a hurried step backwards. The entire space was still black but the light from the screen and his body was enough to light up the form of the demonic entity just directly behind the status screen. His heart pounded faster, anxiety seeping into his body. He had seen the demon many times. The same type. The Same shadowy body and the red eyes. With a mouth that looked like it was smiling. A sinister one which seemed to enjoy his desperation. Even as of now, it was wide apart in a devilish grin. He grimaced, shaking his head. This was more than he bargained for. ‘System, what is that?’ ‘I do feel insulted that I am here, and you would not ask me questions directly, eh?’ The demonic entity responded in a make-believe sad voice. Looking at the status screen, Lekan could realize what happened now. The system did not respond. Rather than responding, darkness began to encroach at the edges of the status screen. And
Fight together? He could not fathom the whole thing. His father basically had an entire world outside of what he let his family get used to. And then, he had the guts to even imagine that one day, the both of them would fight together? Fight together against what? What or who was the enemy that they would have to fight together? If his father had this kind of power, then why was it that the father did not use the ring? Or… He did now know, but he could not place it either. How could his father have had this sort of ring and yet be unable to do anything to save his family back then? Why did his father choose the way out of life so easily? Hate began to fill up his throat now. He hated the memory of his father and how he had gone up to fight with his mum in the car. It was like his father did want that to happen in the first place. He bit down on his lower lip, trying to stop the tears from coming out of his eyes now. The sound of a whimpering system on the other side and other occa
Gasping, Lekan came to his being now. Taking a quick look around, he could tell that he was in the hospital. The all too familiar smell of antibiotics and the familiar beeping of life supports machines here and there were enough to confirm his fears. He swallowed, looking down to the bed where he was. Blessing was still hugging him. Her body shuddered as she sobbed, tightly clinging to him even further. He smiled briefly now at the sight of this. Blessing was always the cry baby. At least when it came to him. But now, he sighed, unwilling to disturb her yet. He was fine and wanted to be out of here. Although he wanted to get a ring from her, he figured that could wait till later. He would not want to get her upset after all. That is, considering how much she was sobbing into his neck. However, it did not take long for him to get his wish now. A nurse walked into the ward, a smile on her face. But the appearance of her being startled him somewhat. It was like he had seen her somew
