After the last rays of the sun vanished, the Elven kingdom lit up from various lights. The yellow lights among the lush green leaves looked majestic, but the noises in the village disappeared soon.
Adam listened to the wilderness. Other than the sounds of the predators coming from the far High pass mountain, there was no other sound. Everything was silent. Thousands of Elven guards assembled in the ground circling the village.
Even if there was a natural barrier, they looked uneasy. Normally, the lower level undead should be weaker. If not for the presence of a lich or another higher being, these guards should be able to take them down easily.
‘What exactly happened?’
If they could utilise the barrier, they could easily damage the undead to
“Adam, are they going to be weak?” Jane felt no more comfortable because of the daylight. The surrounding forest was dead silent. She understood the true horror of the undead. Last night, she witnessed their numbers made of an uncountable number of skeletons and rotting bodies. Also, according to the Elves, last night’s behaviour of the undead was unnatural. They all saw the undead retreating when Adam approached them, and later, they left the encirclement. The power of the Tree of Life amazed Jane. It had a barrier that could prevent the undead from entering, and that barrier itself was filled with vitality. She was excited just by thinking a similar tree would soon become theirs. The Crimson Empire would also have the luxury, but these enemi
Adam pondered over his options as he walked out of the bone building. His Mystic Knowledge was correct. The drawing on the ground was a summoning circle. More importantly, it was a type of summoning related to something other than the undead. In the bone building, there was an altar made of bones. His Mystic knowledge was enough for Adam to identify it as an altar for the god of death. They did the sacrifice of the lich on a separate sacrifice circle, meaning whoever was doing the ritual wanted to summon something else. “Where do the undead gather the most?” He looked at the Elven guards. They looked terrified by the appearance of the building, but this was not the time to attend to their feelings. The system kept warning him with a red screen about the danger. He had to act fast.
“Did you find anything?”“No, My Lord.”‘This is getting way out of hand.’Adam felt troubled, looking at the situation. They found the tracks of the Princess and the Guardian Knights going south. Judging by the speed they travelled, Princess Jane was slow enough for Elves to go with them.He saw the few tracks leading back to the Elven Kingdom, indicating several Elves had gone back. The others had followed Princess Jane and the Knights.“We should hurry!Adam ran, following the scent.“My Lord… Did something happen to them?” Adam ignored the events surrounding him. He heard the bones falling to the ground as they lost their controller. The undead were gone, but something sinister was coming. He crawled under the pedestal, reaching for the floating black crystal. The pressure was crushing him, making his vision blur. Adam tried his best to finish this as soon as possible. He didn’t see the blood coming out of the Arch lich dying the drawing on the ground. A cloud of black smoke came from the dead body and merged into the black vortex. An eerie scream came from the smoke, as if a soul was being sucked into the dark vortex. Soon, the vortex enlarged, turning into a three-meter-tall black square. It solidified into a black metal door covered in chains. The chains had hideous-looking skulls carved into it, and the door itself looked like the mouth of a terrible creature. There was a banging on the door from the other side, as if something wanted to break free. Adam was still growling under the pedesBlood Wolf Chapter 262: A God Had Returned
“Child, are you awake?” ‘Where am I?’ Adam heard a kind voice from afar. He knew his eyes were closed. There was no familiar scent around him, and the voice was unknown, too. He felt a powerful presence around him, but a sense of security came with the kind voice. Even without opening his eyes, Adam knew the room was brightly lit. The light was warm and comforting. He slowly opened his eyes to see a white decorated ceiling. The entire atmosphere surrounding him was white. ‘Where is this? How did I come here? I remember breaking the God’s crystal.’ The last thing he could clearly remember was crushing God’s crystal in his hands. He remembered the unimaginabl
“He is awake. Quickly, inform Her Majesty.”“Send a message to the Great Guardian, the human is awake.”Adam heard various voices as he tried to open his eyes. The familiar scent came to his nose, showing his senses were back. There was no discomfort in his body, and he heard the surrounding sounds clearly.Adam opened his eyes to see the ceiling made of green vines and branches. He was back at the Elven kingdom. He looked around to see Carl sleeping in a corner of the room. Adam felt relieved seeing him well. He noticed the others in the room were Elves, but he smelled the Guardian Knights from outside. There was a lingering scent of Princess Jane, letting him know she was here before. Adam silently bowed at the Elves one last time, before following Princess Jane to the space-time gate. The number of Elves left with them was nearly twenty thousand. Unlike the dwarfs, the Elves were sending their most valuable possession to the Crimson Empire. Adam had nothing against the number of Elven guards and the Elven magicians, called the enchanters coming with them.As long as he could use these people, their knowledge about magic and enchantments, it would help them a lot. Also, Elven archers and their capabilities caught his attention. As he stood out from the gate, a familiar sight greeted him.Alex stood in the front with a smile on his face. He wore his official robes with dwarven light armour. Adam nodded in satisfaction, seeing thBlood Wolf Chapter 265: Older Than the Gods
“You must be Chen.”“Yes, My… My Lord.”No matter how much he practised, Chen felt nervous in front of this young Lord.‘I feel much better talking with the Beast men.’He thought, looking at the calm young man in front of him.He never thought of earning anything from the craft he learned from his father. No one cared about rearing crabs. It was difficult to rear crabs. Mainly because of the dangers in the coastal area. He barely reared his remaining crabs without losing his life.People from his fishing village ridiculed him many times because he refused to give up this craft. He knew he had no way of successfully farm
