Chapter 12

In the shopping center, Angelina's eyes lit up when she saw the rows of beautiful clothes neatly arranged. Her instincts as a woman were triggered, she immediately approached a shop and started sorting clothes enthusiastically.

Lukas and Sardat, on the other hand, seemed less enthusiastic. They both chose to relax in the rest area provided, as seen by the way they exchanged glances and then took a deep breath.

Lukas also dared to ask Sardat, who looked relaxed but there was something hidden behind his eyes. “Sir, may I know why you left Helma city?”

Sardat stared into the distance, as if tracing a blurry memory. "There's no particular reason," he said slowly, "It's just that that place leaves me with bad memories."

Suspicion hung in the air as Lukas reiterated his point. "Bad memories? But, aren't you very strong? How could that place of lowly gangsters have bad memories for you?"
