Chapter 16

Sardat cruelly Gaya, gripped the woman's chin hard enough to demonstrate his power.

"How about it, do you still dare to act tough in front of me?" asked Sardat in an ear-piercing sarcastic tone.

Gaya, overcome by fear and losing the power to speak, could only stare at Sardat with eyes that looked empty and helpless.

Leaving Gaya slumped weakly, Sardat stepped out of the room with heavy steps that expressed his victory.

Outside, dozens of Gaya's subordinates and servants, who had been up all night waiting for news from their boss, were now silent in confusion when they saw Sardat coming out of his master's room.

"It just so happens that you are all here," said Sardat firmly. "Servants, take care of Gaya inside. Meanwhile, you guys, clean up the corpses in front of the Mansion!" he continued giving orders.

One of the confused guards stepped forward. "Wait, who are you?!" he exclaimed in a curious and defensive tone.
