The following week, the result of the entrance exam came out.

Alan is nervous in the living room of the Rocha Mansion, on the couch, his hands fidgeting and his feet tapping out to some song from the 70s.

Hector enters the living room with the day’s newspaper, “Good morning, Young Mr. Rocha. Here is the newspaper—”

“Give it here, Hector!” Alan snatches the newspaper away from the poor butler who just wanted to help.

After furiously flipping through the pages, almost tearing them apart, he found what he wanted. His finger glides across the rough page, his head ducking each time he nears the end of the list...

“Yes, Hector! I passed in Ninth place!”

“Congratulations, Mr. Rocha! I’ll inform your parents.”

Hector respectfully withdraws as Alan jumps up and down with joy and whoops in victory.

Simeon and Dora didn’t need to be called by Hector. They heard their grandson’s screams and came to congratulate him.
