“I know the driver.” Josias says solemnly, “It's Tiago Bento, who lives with us. Excuse me; I'm going to talk to him.”

Melissa and Uélton are amazed at the coincidence. Romualdo is also startled and narrows his eyes, but with one more reason...

Josias approaches Tiago who is reporting to the police.

“... And then she appeared out of the blue, walking distractedly, looking at the sky. She looked like she was saying a prayer to the Lord. I honked, I freed, but there was no time and she didn't wake up from the trance.”

“Drugs?” The policeman asks insensitively.

“Pamela is not a drug user.” Josias strikes firmly.

Once again, Josias's temperament makes him defend people (mainly women) without being asked to do so. The policeman is irritated to see a boy in dirty cement clothes interrupting the questions.
