CAVES OF EFLIEELVIO'S POV It's noon, Dalmatius is sitting on a rock near the waterfall, Domminick is coming out of his cave and I'm sitting under the tree nibbling on an apple. Our attention is drawn to the same direction as we see a girl approaching the caves. Domminick halts, baffled, and I quickly stand to my feet. She's putting on a blue dress, and she's bare footed.“You must be Domminick, and you... Elvio,” she says to us and our brows furrows as we both turn to look at ourselves quickly. We look to her again, baffled.“Who are you, and how do you know our names?” I ask her, and even before she replies, we hear another footstep approaching the caves —causing a distraction, and we both look to see who it is. “Domminick, pluck out my eyes that they may not deceive me,” I mutter in shock of who I see approaching the caves. Dalmatius walks into the midst of the cave from the waterfall and he freezes.“Blind me for I may not see the ghost of a boy whom w

DWELLERS OF THE EASTDAHLIA'S POV It is night, we are still in the wilderness. Elena is sitting in a far distance away from us, and we are all waiting to hear whatever message she'll bring to us. Since we have left Gastrus for dead at the other side of the wilderness, it is my duty to consult her. I keep watching her from a distance until I notice that she is done with meditation, and I walk towards her."Mistress!" I call to her and she turns to me. "The Callibra is about to change hands. The sister of Groilandiá are after it," Elena intones and I nod. "They want us to wait," I say, and she nods. "When shall we move?" I ask and she turns to me. "We move when we are told to, and none shall speak of it till then," She says to me and I nod. We hear a loud cry from a distance within the wilderness and we all stand to our feet. There is only one with that voice whom is within the same wilderness dwell. "Do not give it your ears! It is of the fool we left behind a

CAVES OF EFLIEIASIAS' POVI sit under the tree under the moonlight. Dominick, Elvio, and Dalmatius have long gone into their caves to sleep. Renee is also in the cave Dalmatius showed her.I'm a bit restless, thinking about what Renee said about the witches, and the games they plan on playing with the slaves. It is extremely cold out here, but since I can't find rest in my cave, I prefer to sit outside and cover myself with the blanket Domminick made for me. I hear footsteps and I turn towards the side it's coming from. Renee is the one sauntering towards me, and I can tell the night wind is also harsh on her as she can't stop running her hands through over her arms. She comes to sit by me and I turn to her. "I thought you were asleep," I whisper. "I gave up trying. I can't sleep," she whispers and I turn to her."Why?" I ask and she also turns to me. "Are you bothered by something?" I ask, whispering and she nods -looking down. "Is it something can ta

TOWER OF LIVÁDIAERASTUS’S POV It has been three days since Nasra and I planned to kill Nika, the leader of the coven. We know that the witches would be shaken by her death and it will then give us the opportunity to find an escape route. This very morning, we shall execute our plan. Nasra and one other, the man whom he trusts would be the perfect person we need in order to be complete. Nika would be in her room sleeping by this time of the morning. The witches have some work for the slaves within the inner gate, and there would be no better opportunity than this. While the others would be at work at the store, I, Nasra and Adolfo would be sneaking through the passage to Nika’s room. A witch comes into the yard and snaps her fingers. The effect of this leads to opening of the cages.“Walk by me, let us remain together at all times,” I whisper to Nasra as we walk out amidst 8 other slaves. I pat my belt which is under my shirt twice to make sure that I sti

The night we attack the caves of Eflie, slay the dragons and get hold of the Callibra. “So we are here,” I declare and I turn back to look at my sisters. They both nod, and the army of a hundred eccrifytes growls as they await our command to match into the caves and rip the dragons apart. I see the caves of Eflie before me, beyond the hill which we stand. I can see that a fire had been lit at the midst of the caves —Confirming that the figan which we sent this morning really saw them here. “Gazas!” I shout, stretching my hands forward and causing the eccrifytes to charge forward down the hills and heading for the caves. They is one remaining behind on my command. It will be the one to take us to grab the Callibra when the dragons become distracted by the eccrifytes in a str

Sister Odessa trails me in and she pleads with me to take it easy on my self.“Calm down Lydia, calm down,” she says to me and I ignore her as I walk towards my mirror. I raise my hair and uncover the cut from where I landed on the wall. “You see, how can I calm down? My wound have never took this long to heal, two if our sisters are dead. How do you expect me to calm down?" I yell at her and she sighs.“Their death is for all of us to bear the grief,” she says to me and I cast the brush against my mirror furiously. CAVES OF EFLIEIASIAS' POVSeveral moments have passed after the fight, and we are recovering the energy we lost. Everyone is in their caves, but I'm outside keeping watch to make sure that no eccrifyte army attacks us when we least expect. I know that they won't be stupid enough to attack the same night they were defeated, so I'm not putting much into it. I'm pacing at the midst of the caves without anything else to do than to sip on the drink Renee made for us. It is supposed to help us heal the fractured bones in our body and restore our energy. I walk to stand by Elvio's cave and I see that he is asleep. He must be exhausted, and I want to make sure others are also alright so I go ahead to check on Domminick and Dalmatius also. They both are asleep, snoring so loudly and from that, I can also tell how exhausted they are.I decide to check on Renee to see how she's coping after what happened moments ago. I walk to stand at the entrance of the cave she is in, and I see that she is

I pick a torch and I light it with a snap of my fingers.Only Varia, Althea and Melanie knows that I haven't been in the castle, so I make sure to keep my coming in discreet. I walk into the inner gate and I walk straight to Althea’s room. I knock once and I hear footsteps approaching the door from the other side. In the near moment, the door handle turns and the door opens up. “Nika!” Althea exclaims, her face can't hide the joy that fills her heart to see me back in the castle. “Sister, I have missed you,” I say to her as we embrace. “Come In,” she whispers, pulling me inside her room cautiously.“How has it been here, did sister Cera or anyone else realize a thing about my departure?” I ask her and s

IASIAS' POVI rush out of the falling castle with my hands tied to Nika’s. We pass the back door as Nika suggested and we arrive at the compound. Varia runs to us and hugs Nika. “I need to get my friends out of the dungeon,” I say to Nika, placing my hand on her cheek and she nods. Just before I take a step, she calls to me, “be careful!” And I nod with a grin. I reach the dungeon and I break through the metal door of the dungeon. The building is already falling apart, as crumbles of sands fall off the cracks on the wall. They are startled as they can't see who it is. I punch a hole into the ceiling and light floods the entire room. I'm half transformed, but they all recognize me.“How are you—” “How is this possible?” “How—”All three of them asks, shocked to see that I'm still a dragon, not even the type we last were, but a different species.“I will answers all your questions, I promise. NIKA'S POVI'm sobbing, my life has been miserable ever since I got back to Livádia. The choices I made lead to Iasias being captured. I'm ashamed of myself for everything I have been part of, what I have believed in, what I have fought for. It all was backed by selfishness. I won't be able to live with myself if Iasias is executed. After considering everything, my eyes dart to the long, thick rope in my hand and I sigh. My eyes move slowly from the rope and I glance upwards to the ceiling, causing my eyes to meet the metal hock hanging out of my ceiling. ELVIO’S POV The sounds of people fighting wakes and so did it for Domminick and Dalmatius. We three were locked in the same dungeon, and we still doesn't know anything about Iasias or his whereabouts. We heard he was going to be executed and then we heard nothing more. “What is going on out there?” I hear Domminick sat to Dalmatius.“I don't know. What do you think it might be?” Dalmatius asks Domminick and he sighs. We all c

ISLE OF AGAR The smell of alcohol is what brought me back to consciousness. I open my eyes and I smack my head to resist the headache. Sunlight smites my eyes and I quickly shield them from from its intensity. I try to get up but I can't, instead I roll down the tiny bed I found myself lying on. I groan as I drop heavily to the floor. I lie on my back and my eyes wander the whole room. It is small, there's a red carpet at its center, a rocking chair backing the wall opposite me, several cloaks hanging on an iron rod, a mahogany stool and a ragged curtain at its door. I manage to get up and I trudge towards the door cautiously. My hand sweeps the curtain and I step out of the room. There's an old man by the fire just in front of the room. There's a black pot hanging above the the fire, I peep and I see that there's a liquid bubbling in the pot, the smell of alcohol is strongest in this region so I believe the liquid in the pot is the source of the smell

TOWER OF LIVÁDIAKATERINA’S POV It's morning, I just got up from bed and I haven't even looked into the mirror. I haven't been taken care of myself lately as a woman bearing a child in her stomach should. I stand with my loose garment in front of the mirror and I place my hand gently on my stomach and I sigh. I reach for the wooden cup which contains water from last night, resting on the table and I gulp down the water in it. The cup slips off my hand as the door flings open and I'm startled. It is Varia. She has a fierce look on her face and she seem like she has a lot in her heart to pour out. She has not spoken a word ever since she entered, she has only been glaring at me. “You know, there is a door before a room for a reason,” I say to her, turning back to the mirror —still placing my hand on my stomach. “That wouldn't be your door if Nika was here. Why are you taking everything away from her?” She asks.“That was harsh young lady. Me taking over Nika’s r

ISLE OF AZARIASIAS’ POVMy eyes meet the moon. I takes me moments before realizing that the can't be a moon in a dungeon. The realization of this makes me realize that I'm no longer in the dungeon. I recall the argument I had with Varia. I recall the part where I began to lose my consciousness. I'm weak, it seems like the spell Varia cast on me has side effects. I can't even move my legs without yawning, as though I had been working on the fields. The dungeon is not the only place I'm no longer in, I'm also no longer in Livádia. The ground surrounding me is wet, I don't think the wetness is caused by rain. Its moisture makes it stick to my body. I smell something, I smell a Blosae: A flower which can only grow on an island. I have not been on an island before, but I have seen it before when my mother used to work for the witches in the garden. They had only one of it, and it took them years of nursing it before it grew successful as the climate was not

DWELLERS OF THE EASTDAHLIA’S POVWe watch a red fog rise to the moon. This is a sign. A sign that shows that the fall is near now more than ever. “It is time. Time to journey across the lands to seize our birthrights from the witches of Livádia. The fall has almost come, we rise!” Elena declares.“Let the air that fills my long be not poison, let the breaths of the trees which raised us be our torch,” we all declare, and we move. Livádia is far north of the grasslands, and it will take us at least to nights to reach. .We begin our journey even though it is night. Neither the wild beasts nor the shadows can cross our paths. TOWER OF LIVÁDIAIASIAS’ POV I'm still sitting in the dungeon with Varia sitting beside me. Both leaning on the wall behind us. My knees are raised, her legs are straightened. We can't seem to find a way to tell each other about everything that has happened in our lives in one night. We clearly don't know anything a
