Charles walked to the sitting room, clutching a mug. He walked towards the couches and sat down beside Peyton on the couch. “I guess you are enjoying the film?” Charles said as he gazed at the television screen. “Yes, we are. What kept you so long?” Peyton said after she managed to take her gaze off the television screen. “The food was so hot, so I had to wait for it to get cold before eating,” Charles said and sipped his tea.

“I guessed as much,” Peyton said. “Margaret, how are you?” Charles said and gazed at Margaret’s face. “I am fine, sir,” Margaret said with a smile. “Good. Peyton, granny called me today’s afternoon,” Charles said, and gazed at Peyton’s face.

“You mean my mum?” Peyton said and took her face off the television screen. “Yes…,” Charles said. “What did she say?” Peyton said. “She said she had tried your mobile phone number several times but she couldn’t contact you, so she acceded to calling me. “D
