54. The Dungeon and The Order

I descended the underground stairs carefully because of the dim lighting, despite the torches along the walls. Also, the staircase connecting the prison to the underground dungeon was so hidden that sunlight couldn't penetrate.

I covered my nose as the musty, damp, and other unpleasant odors wafted into my nostrils. The boots I wore trampled through the stagnant water, which was even blacker in color.

Turning once, I could already see the hundreds of iron bars of the dungeon inhabited by miserable stature. I tightened my fists and exhaled forcefully before being able to walk further.

It had been several days since king Swindon had displayed his extraordinary power. The result, of course, was that the king single-handedly captured all the enemies, some of whom he killed on the spot, while others he took captive and put into this dungeon.
