Orion Universal Group

“Draw the prize immediately!” Willy Morgan made his choice without hesitation. Suddenly, six gift box-like objects appeared in his mind, each one a different color and pattern. The first box had an image of some papers, the second had a drill, the third a cup of tea, the fourth a triangle, the fifth looked like a fruit, and the last one resembled a shirt.

“System, what are these?” Willy Morgan asked.

“Host, the system cannot disclose the contents. This is a lottery—you get what you draw!”

Willy Morgan understood the rules. It was a random draw, and with his recent streak of good luck—even stumbling upon a system—he felt confident that whatever he picked would be the best!

He closed his eyes and randomly pointed at one of the boxes. His finger landed on the first one, the one with the image of some papers.

“Ding! Congratulations, Host! You have acquired 79% of the shares in Orion Universal Group Ltd.! The share transfer is in progress, please wait... Transfer complete! Please check the contract documents.”

As soon as the system finished speaking, Willy Morgan felt something solid in his hand—it was a folder!

He opened it to find detailed information about Orion Universal Group, including the company’s profile, global business scope, financial statements, personnel details, and more.

Willy Morgan’s college major was finance, but Orion Universal Group was not in his field of expertise. However, this didn’t stop Willy from planning what to do with his newly acquired company.

Or rather, from not planning. After all, the company was already running smoothly without his input. Jumping in to make changes when he had no experience in the industry would only cause unnecessary trouble.

Heather Collins, the General Manager of Orion Universal Group, was in her office going over the day’s work when her secretary suddenly burst in.

“Ms. Collins! Something’s happened!”

Heather Collins looked at her secretary, Joyce, with a hint of exasperation. “Joyce, we’ve worked together for six years. You still haven’t learned to stay calm in a crisis?”

“But Ms. Collins, this is big! An invisible tycoon has just acquired 79% of Orion Universal Group’s shares in one go! He’s now the largest shareholder and our new Chairman!”

“What!? What about the other shareholders!?”

“They had been gradually selling off their shares for a while. Now, your shares combined with those of the remaining shareholders only make up about 6%, with the other 15% still circulating in the stock market!”

Hearing Joyce’s report, Heather Collins felt a pang of panic. Orion Universal Group had been founded decades ago by her father, William Collins, along with a few partners. After she took over, she had been managing the massive company on her own. Now, in an instant, someone else had taken control! Heather Collins couldn’t believe it.

“Ms. Collins, here’s the new owner’s contact information and profile!”

Heather Collins took the paper Joyce handed her. It contained a brief introduction to Willy Morgan, but there was no information about his family background, work experience, or assets.

“22 years old!!!! Only 22! Is he some heir from a hidden wealthy family who’s bored and looking for something to do?” Heather Collins was at a loss for words.

“Joyce, you can go now. I’ll contact the new boss and see what’s going on.”

“Yes, Ms. Collins.”

Heather Collins hesitated for a long time before finally dialing the number.

“Hello? Who’s this?” Willy Morgan answered the unfamiliar call.

“Mr. Morgan, hello! I’m Heather Collins, the General Manager of Orion Universal Group. I just received word that you’ve acquired 79% of our company’s shares. I’m calling to introduce myself and to see if we can arrange a time for you to visit Orion Universal Group for an inspection?”

“Oh, that’s you! It’s pretty late today, so I won’t be able to make it. Tomorrow’s busy too, and the day after is Saturday, so you’re off. Let’s do it next week.”

“Alright, sir. May I add you on LINE? That way, I can be notified when you plan to visit, and it’ll make it easier to report to you in the future.”

“Sure, my phone number’s on it.”

“Thank you, Mr. Morgan. Sorry to disturb you! See you next week.”

Willy Morgan hung up the phone, feeling a bit bewildered. He still wasn’t used to transitioning from an ordinary person to a boss, and now he had to do inspections?

Heather Collins waited until Willy Morgan had hung up before ending the call. She took a deep breath, noting that the person on the other end of the line did indeed seem young, but he also seemed easy to talk to.

Willy Morgan checked the time on his phone again—it was almost 6 p.m., time to head out! He had plans to meet his three college roommates for dinner tonight.

He put on a new outfit, went downstairs, hailed a cab, and headed to the South American barbecue restaurant near the north gate of his old university.

As soon as he walked through the door, he spotted Brandon Rogers waving at him.

“Over here, Willy!”

Tyler Foster, sitting beside Brandon, turned around and patted Willy Morgan on the shoulder as he approached.

“Wow, Willy! That outfit—Fendi! The real deal! It must’ve cost a fortune! What’s going on with you?!” Tyler Foster was shocked.

“Yeah, Willy, you’ve got new clothes, and you’ve even changed your phone! What’s the deal? Did a rich lady take you in?” Brandon Rogers teased as he examined Willy Morgan’s new phone.

“Cut it out! I just had an epiphany!”

“What’s really going on, dude? I heard Olivia hooked up with some old guy. She even posted about it on social media!”

“Tyler, you’re not exactly tactful, are you?” Brandon Rogers shot him a look.

But Tyler Foster ignored it and kept going. “That kind of woman isn’t worth it. Seriously, over the past three years, from sophomore to senior year, you’ve worked yourself to the bone. We all saw it—you spent all your money on her, and she never appreciated you. You’ll be better off without her!”

“Exactly. I’m finally realizing that too. I broke up with her, and I’ve moved on. I spent these years working hard, and all my earnings went to her. Now, I’m going to take care of myself for a change. And, Brandon, tonight’s dinner is on me! Don’t argue! You guys have been there for me for four years. If I ever make it big, I’ll never forget you three! Where’s Patrick, by the way?”

Brandon Rogers was about to protest when Willy Morgan cut him off.

“Patrick’s stuck in traffic but says he’ll be here soon!” Tyler Foster showed them the message on LINE.
